I really hope someone rescued that wive and those kids! :o

Funny thing; my dad actually had a chance to be involved in tiny house hunters because he designs tiny houses, he decided against it when he saw that they really fabricate the whole "search" aspect of the show. After about five minutes, we finally get him to calm down enough to tell us what it was. So I ask him and he just gasps out “W-what if, instead of an big eye, there was a beholder that was a hand, and it was called a CUPHOLDER AHAHAHA!” So we are all laughing at this and in our last dnd session, about a month after this, sure enough, we go in a big empty room, and the DM just says, “As you look around, you notice a large shape start to rise out of the shadows. It comes into the light, and you see its true shape. One massive hand with four smaller hands on tentacles. ROLL FOR INITIATIVE!”

This is so wonderful because I am currently attempting to create my own dnd adventure for my first DM experience. I have also been binging Matt Colville's videos on DMing. I think it would be brilliant if you got him on to narrate a scene or describe a character and have you guys draw it. Or just more dnd monsters. That'd be awesome too.
I really hope you're basing your campaign in a pre-existing setting, or even using plot lines from published stories, because creating an adventure for your first time DMing is extremely overwhelming and highly unrecommended. For your own sanity, I'd recommend at least running one or two one shots either found online or published before creating your own. It's ultimately up to you, but please consider it. - A concerned fellow player.

(Intellect devourers have an ability that lowers your intelligence, and if it reaches 0 then you essentially die, because you get stunned until you regain intelligence, and stunned is a big no no, along with the fact that it’s hard to regain intelligence)
I was thinking that a good drawfee idea would be describing different scenes in the garden of earthly delights and having someone else draw it. Obviously you would need Julia for this.

This is so wonderful because I am currently attempting to create my own dnd adventure for my first DM experience. I have also been binging Matt Colville's videos on DMing. I think it would be brilliant if you got him on to narrate a scene or describe a character and have you guys draw it.
Or just more dnd monsters. That'd be awesome too.
I really hope you're basing your campaign in a pre-existing setting, or even using plot lines from published stories, because creating an adventure for your first time DMing is extremely overwhelming and highly unrecommended. For your own sanity, I'd recommend at least running one or two one shots either found online or published before creating your own. It's ultimately up to you, but please consider it. - A concerned fellow player.
