estarstar04041015 Dude, same. I’m no good with that golden fish. So I try and not touch it when my team mates are close. I did manage to win the game few times, but most of the time is a wipeout.
The reason I won't pick up the rainmaker is because I prefer to use backline weapons like Splatlings and Jet Squelchers so I think its best if I don't pick it up and defend whoever does.
The Noob This player has NEVER played ranked before, and is a c- player. They have no idea what the rainmaker does, how to use it, where to take it, etc. Sometimes they even take it to spawn... The Camper This player hides with the rainmaker in the last 30 seconds, usually in a hard to reach location. They know their timer wont run out, they have the lead, so why not say "lol" and camp with it? cuz its rood thats why The (bad) Camper Ends up dying whilst camping, usually by the timer running out/enemy team. Results in enemy push that usually costs them the game... The Killing Spree This player will just go for kills. Every. Single. Time. They kill with their main. They kill with the rainmaker. They kill with subs and specials. They don't care for the mode, they just want to murder. Usually they vary in skill. Sometimes they're godlike and win you the game (unless they have the rainmaker, in which case they taunt/act like a general jerk), or sometimes they just suck. The Defender This player literally only defends. Never pushes with his team. I mean, I guess it makes sense with the whole "mobility turfing ink" thing, but... come on man. Help your team. The Turf Warrior "What mode are we playing again?" They act like it's turf war. Usually found in c-. The I-Disconnected-And-Lost-My-Rank This player disconnected. Could be ragequit, could be lag. However, whilst SOME blaming of the team would be acceptable from time to time (see Defender/Turf Warrior/Killing Spree), they even go as far as to blame the actually GOOD players. I got really salty with this one rainmaker game. was playing league with my buddy and the other pair were path makers. so they made a path allllll the way to their base but never came back to help us when the other team had the rainmaker. it was a 2 v 4 situation and we ended up getting knocked out because we had 0 help from our other team mates. oof
You forgot _the guy who thinks hes playing turf war_ I was playing raimmaker today and a dude with a roller did nothing but cover turf(probably trying to get specials?) But every time I checked the map he was off somewhere to the side. This guy was literally covering every corner near our base as we got gang banged by the enemy team. Also, I'm the path maker and body guard. I main the Octobrush, do I even have to explain lol. I don't like picking up the raimmaker because I'm not good at handling it and my teammates like to see me get fucked, but if there's a path that no one is using then I'll swoop it up real quick.
I'm mostly the bodyguard but sometimes I become the kleptomaniac when I'm the only one left in my team and surrounded by the other team. I do it so they waste time destroying the rainmaker barrier again and by then my team is already back.

The Turned-Around: Spends so much time inking turf and flanking the enemy, that when the path is clear and they finally grab the Rainmaker, they accidentally take it backwards. Hopefully learns their lesson after the first time in a play session.

@@agentblackbird9435 I want to like tower control but the only reason why I can't is because I can't find a good weapon I like for tower control. And the clash blaster is just, no.
I would just like to just say that having the slayers pick up the rainmaker is usually a bad idea. The rainmaker is a back/midline weapon. In the ideal team comp of 2 slayers, 1 support, and 1 backline, if the slayer picks up the rainmaker you've now got 2 backlines and only 1 slayer which isn't ideal. Having the backliners pick it up means that you've still got a good team comp of 2 slayers, 1 backline, and 1 support. I've recently been playing the Fresh Squiffer a lot and I usually try to pick it up as the rainmaker can fill a similar role I played as the Squiffer playing more aggressively than most chargers like the E-liter and Splat Charger, but less aggressively than things like Splat Dualies and Splattershots. Having the supports pick it up can also work if your other weapons are decent at painting for example a team with Splat Dualies, Splattershot, and Heavy Splatling can probably live without a JR since those weapons already do a decent job painting the map, however you may not want to do that with a team with two blasters and a charger as the support would really be the only one good at painting. ((I'm not a competitive player this is just what I've found in lower-level ranked(B) as I started playing fairly recently. So haven't had time to rank up.)
When I play Rainmaker on a stage other than Goby Arena, Blackbelly Skatepark, Port Mackerel or Kelp Dome, sometimes if the enemy came close to getting a comeback, and the Rainmaker near the goal, I will intentionally jump off to reset. That way the enemy will have to travel the extra distance.
I like using a brush in Rainmaker, because I can just stick next to the Rainmaker. Turns out the Rainmaker swim speed is fairly close to the brush's brush speed (If you have Swim Speed Up), so just stay immediately behind me, and you'll get to the goal.
You forgot the people who forget what they're playing. Once I had the rainmaker and everyone was so focused on splatting each other that I was able to just carry it to the goal with no problems. Heck, a guy on the opposing team even ran right past me but was so eager to jump back into the battle that he didn't even notice me.
I think there is one more type that I call the chased or sometimes the chaser they will stay near enemy spawn and make sure they don’t move either by killing them or getting them to chase them in irrelevant places ( also they are most commonly brushes)( also unlike spawn campers they don’t stay on the spawn but they don’t ever go to their own side of the map )
Bodyguard here for sure. And a very disgruntled one at that. I said “this way” more times than I can count, I popped the Tenta Brella and launched it, it’s currently paving a Golden Brick Road for you to waltz the Rainmaker down, and yet you still decided it’d be a better idea to leave the route we were on to flank around the entire map, as if the enemy team doesn’t know where you are at all times.
im definitely the one who grabs it. kind hard to get people to protect u though in soloq. I go as far as I can forwards while trying to get my team near me tho. never go backwards. also u can strafe with the rainmaker which is epic
You forgot 4 the spammer, who stays in the same place and spams and only moves when all other teams people are dead, the pro, who is both good with rainmaker and their weapon, and is a bodyguard, and the troll who yrolls.
2:08 Yes it does! Twice today I scarified myself for the rainmaker at just the right moment, so we ended up winning. It’s very hard to come across, but there are people who do it.
Im the pathmaker, bodyguard, and LEEROY JENKINS! I always get frustrated when i make a clear path to the podium and they decide to go the other way, or when they will never follow through a push and get splatted...
Im that one player who grabs the rainmaker, ignores all enemies trying to splat me, and rushes ahead as far as i can. This strategy has managed to get me winning games a lot
I am a proud Leroy! Too many times I try to be a path maker or a body guard for the wrong team/ players. I feel like I just need to do it myself. I guess that's the problem huh lol but it feels so good when the win pulls through. Rain maker is the best mode in turns of hype for me since I'm a Leroy
I remember one time on that liner stage (forgot the name) the rainmaker was around the enemy side but it wouldn’t move since everyone kept killing each other until the time ran out and since my team had more points we won
I'm more like the bodyguard armed with my Heavy Splatling Remix and Booyah Bomb. Many times that bomb has created safe passage to the goal for the player with the rainmaker. What do you call it when the entire team goes a different path from you to fight enemies rather then watch your back? It seems stupid since everyone knows where the rainmaker is.
I always get people who stink at carrieing it. You have to be smart, try using a flank where enemys won’t be sitting there waiting to splat you.(don’t always charge into the middle of the map every single time)
I'm a bazookarp intolerant, what's funny is that one match my team popped the shield and splatted most of the other team and ALL of my other team including me were hesitating like going back and forth to the rainmaker, the match then consisted of the other team grabbing the rainmaker, we splatting them and them going back to move just a little bit until they won. that's what I get.
I am simultaneously the kleptomaniac and bazooka intolerant. I never can tell whether my team would want me to pick up the rainmaker or not, so I take it whenever I want supposed to and vice versa
im mostly a bodyguard and try to protect whoever has the rainmaker and try to make paths for them a bit ahead but that means i usually let someone else on my team pick it up if we're all at it but if im the only one who can get it etc. i'll take it
There’s this one time I played a game with a guy who picked up the rainmaker, but didn’t go ahead, he used it only to kill people, and of course died, and because of that we lost, “This way” didn’t work, he was probably too scared to die, or he didn’t know how to play that game, but whatever the reason, he was the worst person I have ever seen use the rainmaker
I pick up the rainmaker and carefully pinpoint my strategy. I usually use th e map we have to our advantage and take a way around if possible, usually it works because of the fighting in the middle
I'm the type of rainmaker player who takes the rain-maker then predicts where enemys will go and splat them around corners, and I will usually take out the person who has the rainmaker, I also add object shredder to destroy the barrier faster so my team can make a play.
Bodyguard/escort/support Luna Blaster to pop shields, splat opponents, and help build a path. Of course this doesn't work if the teammate with the rainmaker doesn't know any paths other than straight down the middle.
I've seen some players I just call all stars/jocks/football players, because they just run straight to the podium without fighting back. Even when all 4 enemies are attacking, and nobody is defending. Surprisingly, they always win.
I'm a mix of Barzoonark (?) intolerant and the Pain taker- If I do pick it up, IDK how to use it well because I'm a spammer and I die- If it's right there I'm like, "Nope-" And I forgot to add The Bodyguard-
i guess i'm a leeroy jenkins. If the time is running out and my team is behind, i grab the rainmaker and make a football run out of desperation to take the lead. On at least two occasions, this resulted in a knockout win...
The wommys (or vemos) that ink the base with a fully charged charger and sit there at the goal and snipe/shoots anyone that comes near it’s good to have someone to protect your base but it’s like having 3 players on your team I call them: goal campers
I play the role of the bodyguard. I don’t normally pick up the rain maker bc my foil flingza is better for getting kills and protecting the rainmaker. Now to get someone to actually pick it up.
I'm the one who doesn't like to pickup the rainmaker most times, especially since I've become a 52 gal main. It puts a lot of pressure on me, especially if the game goes into overtime. It literally makes my heart beat very fast from fear (that's how stressful ranked can be sometimes). I prefer to let my teammates have the rainmaker, I trust that they know what to do. I only pick-up the rainmaker if I absolutely must.
Multiples types but in general I don't pick the rainmaker (Bazookarp Intolerant) but if I do I usually am a Rainmaker Main (if the enemies are at a disadvantage) or Leeroy Jenkins (if the enemies are at an advantage and/or I need to score fast).
That roller had their special ready and you can't use your special while you have the rainmaker so sometimes it's better to let your teammates pick up the rainmaker. Also you forgot the person who holds the rainmaker super long until they explode because of the timer
I play rainmaker in 3 different ways 1: LEEERROOYY JEENKINS - no explanation needed 2: The budget bodyguard - I try to be a bodyguard but ultimately fail 3: The distraction - I will distract the enemy team while a push is going on
I’m the one who just charges with the rainmaker while my teammates support me and also, I’m the one to superjumps to teammates near the rainmaker I usually use the blobbober and just charge while I get the rainmaker and my teammates kill every enemy, games usually take 30 seconds to competele
I'm rainmaker main or the jumper. Sometimes I panic and just jump off when I shouldn't have lmao but I'm really good with the rainmaker. Most people can't predict the double shots with it either so I can get a really good chunk of splats with it.
you forgot the one that picks up the rainmaker solely because they want a better weapon in the last 10 seconds when the other team has the lead and they instantly die because they didnt know about the charge time and costs your team the game.
The one thing that annoys me in rainmaker is when the rainmaker carrier refuses to move forwards. Lime your team is protecting you giving you a path. The opposing team has been wiped. GO TO THE FREAKING GOAL!
Yup I encountered one once I was playing rainmaker and we had a clear and safe path but the one holding the rainmaker did not do it instead she kept blasting the enemy with a rainmaker then we all died then they splatted the one with the rainmaker and we all lost (Probably wanted the highest splat count) Don’t be these types of players unless you want to lose your ranks!
You forgot about the people that go *backwards* with the Rainmaker

I like using a brush in Rainmaker, because I can just stick next to the Rainmaker. Turns out the Rainmaker swim speed is fairly close to the brush's brush speed (If you have Swim Speed Up), so just stay immediately behind me, and you'll get to the goal.
That's what I subscribed for :D
Also, I'm a rainmaker main who doesn't move until the enemy team is wiped and sometimes doesn't want to pick it up
I think thats every rainmaker main. Lol.
When I see the enemy team wiped in literally any Ranked mode I'm just like
"It's showtime."
You forgot the people who forget what they're playing. Once I had the rainmaker and everyone was so focused on splatting each other that I was able to just carry it to the goal with no problems. Heck, a guy on the opposing team even ran right past me but was so eager to jump back into the battle that he didn't even notice me.
I think there is one more type that I call the chased or sometimes the chaser they will stay near enemy spawn and make sure they don’t move either by killing them or getting them to chase them in irrelevant places ( also they are most commonly brushes)( also unlike spawn campers they don’t stay on the spawn but they don’t ever go to their own side of the map )
jumper: sees raimaker
jumper: he's too dangerous to be kept alive
Yay, Vasko you finally made this. I was waiting for "types of rainmaker people" after the "types of carbon roller"
Ikr! It took me like a good 8-9 months to finally make it
You forgot 4 the spammer, who stays in the same place and spams and only moves when all other teams people are dead, the pro, who is both good with rainmaker and their weapon, and is a bodyguard, and the troll who yrolls.
2:08
Yes it does!
The end
Fans: are you sure about that?
Almost EVERYONE does the body guard one at least
You have to be smart, try using a flank where enemys won’t be sitting there waiting to splat you.(don’t always charge into the middle of the map every single time)
I just love the term "Rainmaker Main" its wonderful
2:32 that transition is just so satisfying just gotta point that out :P
2:25 Wait aren't you a millenial?
I am XD
@@VaskoGames 😂😑
That’s the joke
you forgot the annoying troll how just either runs to your podium or stands still / grabs rainmaker and back into a corner and hides
It is confirmed everyone vasko is a professional thrower
I... well, I try to be the bodyguard, but I jump in front of the rainmaker carrier to take the hits for them.
So what would that make me?
I'm a bazookarp intolerant, what's funny is that one match my team popped the shield and splatted most of the other team and ALL of my other team including me were hesitating like going back and forth to the rainmaker, the match then consisted of the other team grabbing the rainmaker, we splatting them and them going back to move just a little bit until they won. that's what I get.
I like to think I'm a bodyguard, but often I just wind up Leeroying my way to victory.
I am simultaneously the kleptomaniac and bazooka intolerant. I never can tell whether my team would want me to pick up the rainmaker or not, so I take it whenever I want supposed to and vice versa
im mostly a bodyguard and try to protect whoever has the rainmaker and try to make paths for them a bit ahead but that means i usually let someone else on my team pick it up if we're all at it but if im the only one who can get it etc. i'll take it
The guy like me, takes the rainmaker retreats, and starts to squidparty until the rainmaker explodes me, because splatoon 1 stuff
Oh please, I’m a proud bodyguard no matter what Ranked battle there is. ( And a prankster. )
I’m a bodyguard,
For the goal,
So basicly I hide, then when they’re close-
*splatted randomsquidkid*
Bodyguard/escort/support
Luna Blaster to pop shields, splat opponents, and help build a path.
I'm a mix of Barzoonark (?) intolerant and the Pain taker-
If I do pick it up, IDK how to use it well because I'm a spammer and I die-
If it's right there I'm like, "Nope-"
And I forgot to add The Bodyguard-
You forgot the type of player who pick up the RM and go by himself without waiting his team to help. People we are a team. We can help protecting you.
I was being a Leroy jenkins during a match in shellendorf, i yeeted the rainmaker right on that podium (edit) I’m also a rainmaker main
i guess i'm a leeroy jenkins.
I play rainmaker in 3 different ways
1: LEEERROOYY JEENKINS - no explanation needed
2: The budget bodyguard - I try to be a bodyguard but ultimately fail
3: The distraction - I will distract the enemy team while a push is going on
I’m the person that freaks out everytime someone killes me when I JUST got the rainmaker
Leeroys unite! They always say, "Don't push! You'll get splatted!". BUT YOU PROVE THEM WRONG! [Please remember to push responsibly :) ]
I’m the one who just charges with the rainmaker while my teammates support me and also, I’m the one to superjumps to teammates near the rainmaker I usually use the blobbober and just charge while I get the rainmaker and my teammates kill every enemy, games usually take 30 seconds to competele
The body guard is rare us in splatoon 1 if we don't have the rainmaker we do all the jobs needed even when we have it
I'm rainmaker main or the jumper. Sometimes I panic and just jump off when I shouldn't have lmao but I'm really good with the rainmaker. Most people can't predict the double shots with it either so I can get a really good chunk of splats with it.
Wow this is a great video!
Keep it up Vasco
The 96 deco main, will act as a body guard but not to protect, to slaughter
you forgot the one that picks up the rainmaker solely because they want a better weapon in the last 10 seconds when the other team has the lead and they instantly die because they didnt know about the charge time and costs your team the game.
The one thing that annoys me in rainmaker is when the rainmaker carrier refuses to move forwards. Lime your team is protecting you giving you a path. The opposing team has been wiped. GO TO THE FREAKING GOAL!
The rainmaker that chills out by enemy spawn just to get kills with the rainmaker... usually gets splatted and costs the game.
I'm the type of person who goes for kills and then sometimes grabs the rainmaker and spams this way when I have to.
You forgot the person who picks it up, spams shots, and doesn’t move an inch with it
