lol, The longer subscribed viewers can see a few contradictions with the newer content. He always said he would never use straps to secure the truck to the underlift too!
Back in the late 1970s, after an out of town parade, we (Indio High Rajah marching band) had to push start a school bus. About 15 guys pushed it, only a few feet, and driver popped the clutch.
5.72 miles to a gallon isn't too bad considering the load and the lengthly idling. With 65 gallons filled, I'm assuming your truck holds 100 gallon tank? Thanks for the video.
15:59 personally, Trent, I wish you show us all content, even things you've done multiple times. That's why we're here, to see all content. We're not here to only see new and crazy stuff.
Went from an 07 to 23 school bus this year and I'm still not used to slamming the brake to release the parking brake... It also range inhibits if it's not slammed and your just sitting there revving from a stop 😅..
Trent, you've made some nice and entertaining videos, this one is definitely in the top three. Really enjoyed your video on this day of working. Thumbs up!
So if a bus needs to be towed. Depends on where your at busy road you need Police assitance and a backup bus that to help secure a lane to shutdown while the transfer of the kids happen. Once everything and everyone is transfered then while police are on scene is hook up and prepair to tow that would be the ideal method. you can also use the stop sign on the school bus to stop traffic but that to not always a smart move because people wont care and run the stop sign.
Trent fighting with a driveshaft is some proper old style video content, not seen that in a long time! Do some more towing content. Shame you can't do anymore trash trucks, they always used to be in interesting locations.
Ours did on a field trip once were on top of a hill above town so us older kids got out and pushed it down the hill then had to run to get back in! Times were different back then
Yes the newer buses from the past 10 yrs or so, You must push the brake pedal in order to release the parking brake, it’s some safety rule now. Not sure how the new Inteli-Park system works (It eliminates the parking brake knob) and makes it an electronic gizmo now.
I enjoy your videos Wilcox garage used a axle when a axles let go on an accident scene I am watching you from the west coast of Canada 🇨🇦 on Vancouver Island
Good variety with what you are showing ,hope you watch the hours for driving ? The loader at the end and the chain around the tyre, would that pass DOT check ?
when the brakes on the bus wouldn't release I was talking to my moniter saying "push the brake pedal". LOL, I haven't had to tow one of those cab over pusher buses, not looking forward to it
Trent when Darl returns he still can do boosts and lock outs for the first 3 months after surgery he then can do light duty stuff from 6 months to a year then he can return to heavy duty stuff and what I have stated gets the muscle memory back and aqua therapy along with the physiotherapy gets the range of motion and inflammation down way faster along with ice pack therapy a couple times a day
Ehhh I disagree. Axles are much harder to take out and if you run into cone washers which are common on Volvos then forget about it. Thank you for watching
Hello from across the pond, just found your page and watching your videos, there great, good work. With the bus tow, what's with not taking out the drive axle halfshafts out ? Are they reduction hubs ?
Definitely could have done that just would have been messier. Typical we go for the driveshaft before going after axles if possible. Thanks for watching!
@@plazatowing thanks for the reply, on buses over here we prefer the halfshaft, buses are not my favourite, but it's great to see how others do the same job. 👍
Question. When you tap into the Trucks Air system (you tapped into his Air Compressor). Now will his Air Dryer still purge? I know the Air Dryer is connected between Compressor and Air Tank so are you filling up the trucks Air Tank or bypassing it?
Nu-Mark they haul 'See's Candies'/Overnight that's Greg Warn's co. Are you required to run paperless logs .. 170 thousand on the truck, how old is Trent ..
28:06 but it's not federally approved and if you get pulled over on an inspection and they see that good Lord Almighty you're looking at almost a $20,000 fine charges up the ass like you will never believe so my advice stay with the chains it's not worth it because they say that those straps are not capable of holding back the weight of a rig that size on a platform the way you're doing it and they don't have the tensile strength is what they say to support a load
They just send another bus to pick the kids up then you tow the broke down bus to get fixed Towed multiple buses when I worked in towing and recovery Always liked when kids record the operation, or if they’re outside waiting for the other bus to get them, I had some guys come up and talk to me (older boys in middle through high school) they compliment the truck, they’d be impressed on the operation and happy to watch. Good times Easy tows
So=--quick question here-Trent.. can see you guys worked the original accident and brought it to your yard. Now the load is gone on--how do you guys 'end' up w/ the trailer// PAM is a nationwide company-do they just give it to you in leau of towing/storage? I know how it works-but a lot of readers don't understand the procedure--and most states are different. Thank y0ou!
@plazatowing apologize. Didn't realize. I should have known. Absolutely love your work ethic. Your a great example for the men women out there. Your very focused and Astute. Thanks 4 the great videos. Again, I meant no disrespect with the comment remote control situation
THE WRECKER IS AS OLD AS WHEN YOU USE TO SAY “WE DONT NEED A ROTATOR, WE HAVE A 50 TON WRECKER” 😁
lol

Trent,This video was an example of how long your work day is, I compliment your work ethics
Appreciate that. Thank you
It's always fun to see what you get up to in a day.
Boredom is not in your book.
Congrats on the new yet unexpected forklift addtion to the fleet!
Glad upu told us about Darl-I missed him. he'll come around-he has a lot of knowledge , too.

Thanks for the video Trent. A lot like the old days with the tows. Stay safe out there.
Thanks 👍
Many thanks as always for sharing, Trent. Please pass on our best regards to Darl and hope to see him back soon.
That was an expensive master key 😂
...but does it work on right hand drive vehicles?
Went from an 07 to 23 school bus this year and I'm still not used to slamming the brake to release the parking brake... It also range inhibits if it's not slammed and your just sitting there revving from a stop 😅..

My late father was on the board of directors of XTRA INC piggy back trailers when the company was founded in 1965.
Ty for the therapeutic video from life bro keep sending it bro 😏🤙🙌 have a good one g
Extra good video. Thanks
Glad you liked it!

that was bad ass.. thanks for a lil long vid too
Glad you liked it thanks!
Ours did on a field trip once were on top of a hill above town so us older kids got out and pushed it down the hill then had to run to get back in! Times were different back then
Sounds like you need a wrecker with a longer under-lift, that looks awfully tight back there!
Yes the newer buses from the past 10 yrs or so, You must push the brake pedal in order to release the parking brake, it’s some safety rule now. Not sure how the new Inteli-Park system works (It eliminates the parking brake knob) and makes it an electronic gizmo now.

Really good to see a day in the life video. Thanks

34:00 oh i know this is it safety chains
Instead of removing the drive shaft couldn’t you remove the half shaft from the axles a bit more messy but easier
Ehhh I disagree. Axles are much harder to take out and if you run into cone washers which are common on Volvos then forget about it. Thank you for watching
keep the clips coming

It is disturbing that drivers don't know their equipment.

And can you give us a tour of 25 and how to turn the lights
How do you decide what wrecker to take to a simple tow?
Typically, if it’s an out of town tow, I will drive the truck that is driven by a driver who is off that day
@@plazatowing oh ok
Welcome to L.A your in my area
With the milage u run and hours how do u keep track of hours for dot inspection.
Nu-Mark they haul 'See's Candies'/Overnight that's Greg Warn's co. Are you required to run paperless logs .. 170 thousand on the truck, how old is Trent ..
260 .ooo from robert in illinois.😅
My guess is exactly 239,000 miles plus however many you drove during that tow.
Is there a limit on how many miles you can tow a combo i think in Virginia it's 50 or something
Been through several inspections with it hooked up just as it is. It is more than adequate. Where are you getting this info for “federally approved”
They just send another bus to pick the kids up then you tow the broke down bus to get fixed
Towed multiple buses when I worked in towing and recovery

Good times
Easy tows
Darl’s truck looks to be a 2012 year
That looks to be a Peterbilt 567, which I’m pretty sure was not introduced until 2014
Where did the driver go?
It is a Volvo those bolts should be metric so 13 milimeter
Around 4to 5 years old
I’d say truck 25 is 8 years old.
Couldn’t you cross pull those chains to avoid catching the side of those loader tyres 👍
239,364 + miles.
That's why I always hated Towing buses when I was doing that kind of work
So=--quick question here-Trent.. can see you guys worked the original accident and brought it to your yard. Now the load is gone on--how do you guys 'end' up w/ the trailer// PAM is a nationwide company-do they just give it to you in leau of towing/storage?

Thank y0ou!
Would cost more for them to get towed to their yard plus repaired.
275k miles
What type of truck is truck 25 is
Those two jobs made for a long day. But I imagine that most of your days are long!
When you going to show off the 25 ton
We sold it actually lol
Where are you based out of what state if I wanted to work for you what are the requirements?
239k miles
guys what am I missing what happened with darl?
I hope you got enough sleep! 🇨🇦

Dude. Get a remote control yo. Make ur job much easier wiser yo
I’ve talked about it in a previous video. We have sent the remote to the manufacturer over six times. It’s an ongoing issue lol.
