@@luisbranko.No not really, Meshuggah was doing the rhythm gallop riffs around the exact same time with Destroy erase improve and Demanufacture coming out in 1995 one month apart. Same thing with both of their next albums Chaosphere and Obsolete both coming out in 1998, and both had the crazy gallop rhythm songs. Sure fear factory utilized the gallop like rhythms and more single string parts, but I'd say both bands were doing their own thing rather than "copying" off of each other.
Obzen came out in March 2008 while The Way Of All Flesh came out in October 2008, so I honestly think Gojira did take inspiration from Bleed directly. You could call it ripping off but idc and I doubt Meshuggah would care either.
🤓 “um akshully” Esoteric Surgery by Gojira features a similar herta chug which I *think* came out a year or two before ObZen. Not dogging on the name you chose, everyone knows bleed. just a fun fact Edit: this is completely wrong, Esoteric Surgery came out after Bleed. All hail the ‘Shuggs
Swedish gallop my ass, this pattern has been around way before Bleed, Sweden, and probably gallop too. I'm exaggerating, but if we're making shit up, mine is as good as yours.
Slowed down sounds like an Amon Amarth riff... Now it makes sense why it's a Swedish Gallop
At The Gates.
Sounds like tattered banners and bloody flags
came here to comment the same thing, I salute you good sir.
@@dimebagdarrel00 🫡
all song from slaughter of the soul of at the gates have this gallop, and release year 1995.
in bleed the last note of the pattern is a 16th making it 32nd, 32nd, 16th and 16th
A herta
You're splitting hairs here. A rose by any other name smells as sweet.
Herta

What a beautiful guitar! 😮
Thanks!

There's no fan in that room, he's just so badass that whenever he enters a room mystical wind starts blowing
Every guitarist should have this down. Had to come back and say thats a sick guitar 🤘
Esoteric surgery was the first song I heard with this pattern
So it’s actually a French gallop
heard this gallop on all songs from slaughter of the soul by at the gates

Esoteric Surgery and Bleed were both released in 2008, the coincidence of both bands writing that part without ripping each other off is kinda funny

So meshuggah is just fast limp bizkit 🤯😅
I think Spheres of madness by

No its called hertas that's what the actual rhythm is called. I've been drumming for almost 20 years and studying percussion my whole life
my dad left me when i was a kid

Doesn’t matter if he isn’t calling it the right thing because he’s fuckin nailing it and that’s what’s important.
ackchyually 🤓
Me guitarist me no understand tricky drum word. lol picking hand go brrrrrr
I've heard this in Amon Amarth
Swedish scallops are delicious
The exact opposite of the groovy French gallop in the first riff of Esoteric Surgery by Gojira.
Its called a herta for drummers
Brand Name and Model of this guitar?
I can only play it at Meshuggah speed for a few bars before I mess up and that's just on one note. Forget about the second note and the bend.
I thought I was the only one who did this economy style.
Hertas. Very hard lol

Megadeth's She-Wolf from 1997, though it is slower.
and i thought this is Slaughter of the soul by At the Gates, 1995
El Herto 🤓☝️
Have you heard of Iced Earth?
A great TOOL
Jon Schaffer did that in 1995 in Dante's Inferno
oh boy lmao I play that one without the extra upstroke. It's just another downstroke for me.
People in here claiming Amon but don’t get its At The Gates.
isn't that the same as Megadeth's She-Wolf?
It is actually called a Herta🤓☝️
He knows it's called a herta, he also knows you'll all "ackchully" him and promote the post
I'd say Amon amarth that's what I heard
Pursuit of Vikings
Hertas. Its called Hertas.

Its not a "swedish gallop". Its a herta
Could you say that in english?
Do that last note with a downstroke to REALLY build your speed
speed with down stroke vs endurance with up, i think endurance wins
literally just alternate picking a herta.
Never heard herta being called an swedish gallop lol...
Definitely more my speed. Too young though, abf wants someone who's into godly man.
lol that’s a herta homie
Why not call it what it is? A herta
First of all it's not a gallop, second one you play it wrong, chceck out the sheets
Please don't call it that
Lol yeah slow. Slower note my ass slower note makes my whole arm dead after 2 minutes
most boring metal song ever
