    The effect on the final photo is too strong IMHO. It looks almost like being out of focus or a bit sloppy postprocess to me - something like too much of gaussian blurring used. But otherwise I love difusing filters on night photos, good luck with this in future, looking forward to seeing more results!

    Nice job of spreading the light to multiple pixels so they don't just clip, but IMO too unique and unrealistic to use constantly, in the same way that unrealistic-looking HDR processing was a fad. I wonder if there's some other way to make the brighter stars stand out, but without the foggy look.

    As usual, an interesting and entertaining video, Mads. Where I live, a light pollution filter is always necessary. so I was wondering how it would temper the effect of the StarGlow filter. I am guessing it might reduce the StarGlow's dimming effect of the fainter stars. I would like to know if anyone has coupled the two filters. The StarGlow does seem to have the ability to produce an artsy Van Gogh effect.

    To some extent, I'm impressed at the difference this filter makes. However, it's a bit too much for my taste. The colors make it into "carnival lights" more than a starry sky. Maybe it'd be more acceptable if the stars were kept white, but as shown it's just too much making you think someone has been painting the sky in Photoshop.

    • @MadsPeterIversen
      @MadsPeterIversen  3 года назад +1

      Well, the stars are actually those colors once you expose for them correctly. It's the same phenomenon you see with star trailing or if there is a thin layer of clouds in front. The strength can always be adjusted in different ways ;)
