I like my neighbor. She’s nice. She was doing instacart. But then she was saying she wants to do doordash and wanted me to go with her to show her the ropes. Honestly, after going. I don’t see why she wanted me there.
She doesn’t care, is unwilling to, put in why she’s waiting for an order, because they should just know why. If your on time/early percentages get to low, you can get deactivated. She didn’t seem to care.
She refuses to use a hot bag at all. I should say right now, that’s it’s winter in Iowa. Which can mean 10 inches of snow and a temperature between-10 degrees and 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Any dasher knows, that sometimes, food is sitting at the restaurant for awhile before we get there, that isn’t under a hot lamp. So you know the food will be ice cold when it gets there.
During a delivery with her. So you know how some houses have two front doors. The main wooden door that opens to the inside of the house. And a screen or glass door right before the main door that usually opens towards the outside of the house.
She put the food right up against and in front of the glass door that opens outward. I told her the customer wouldn’t be able to grab the food and would be stuck inside. They’ll probably have to come out from the back if she left it there. She said nothing, shrugged, and proceeded to get into her car. My ocd can’t handle that. I got outta the car and moved it to the side so people could get out. When I got back into the car, her words were this, “Who cares?”
After I got home I got to thinking. She hasn’t mentioned instacart in months and instacart would probably be easier since she has a baby. I’m wondering if she got deactivated from instacart. Probably for the same mistakes I’m seeing with the ride along with doordash.
All the advice I gave her, she never listened to and flat out refused to do. I didn’t tell her much, just mainly what I had mentioned here.
Use a hot bag, don’t block people in their home with their food, and put a reason why your waiting. After her not listening to those three things. I stopped giving advice and played on my phone until we were done. It was under her account not mine.

    Hi,
I go thru H&R block and I get charged 330. My situation is difficult though, I'm raising my grandson and file separately from the dead beat(my husband). I'm sure with your situation it maybe alot cheaper. Keep in mind they take out for self employment taxes. I hope everything is going well with your family!

As a Dasher and as a Customer who uses the app. THEY KNOW AND CAN READ WE HAVE A STACKED ORDER. Ive used the app many many times to order food for my own. Half the time the dasher that picks up my food always has another stack to deliver as well. IT TELLS THE CUSTOMERS IN THE APP WHAT THE DRIVER IS DOING EVEN WHEN PICKING UP OTHER ORDERS. The app will tell the customers what drop off they will do first. What restaurant they are at first. etc.... But I do agree with you as a Dasher I REFUSE STACKED ORDERS unless its going to the same house. Even though the App Tells Our customers "Your dasher is picking up another food and will be on the way shortly" they still complain why we are going to a different location and etc.

I would have called DoorDash about the discrepancy in pay, but then again the time
E you spend on the phone, you could probably just do another dash, but that is messed up. Yes, we could use all tax advice available. I don’t touch mine since I started this, & I had done my own for twenty plus years.

I hope you're tracking your mileage for taxes!! And you can write off cell phone for months used for driver apps. I believe it's 50% of bill. You can either itemize your expenses or track miles. It's easier to track mileage and usually more beneficial. I have not owed any taxes on driver apps past 2 years from tracking mileage.

    NEW UPDATE ON STACKED ORDERS👇👇👇
I order through doordash a lot, I also dash part time.
I tip well because I dash. I’ve noticed if I don’t hit the express for an extra 1.99 they usually stack an order on with mine when I’m ordering for myself. The stack on is always dropped first. Honestly I don’t care but the app for customers changed!!! 😀
You can no longer watch them going to the first drop off, if you’re the second drop off. My doordash screen just kinda freezes in place and it says the dasher is delivering to another customer first and the app will update on my end as soon as the dasher completes the first drop off.
Once the dasher completes the first drop off. My screen gets active again. Then I can finally see where the dasher is at. The gps will start from the location of the first drop off. That’s happened to me a few times here within the past few weeks. So, I’m thinking it must’ve been apart of a new update they did.
Honestly, I’m loving this new feature. It makes me feel a lot better about taking stacked orders. It helps eliminate the Karen’s.

    • @elmocake2849
      @elmocake2849 Год назад +1

This is why I think that all dashers should occasionally order through the app. The app for ordering on doordash keeps changing all the time. By ordering through it occasionally will help keep you up to date on the features doordash keeps adding on for customers.

Anyone wondering about the express $1.99 thing
If you’re ordering in doordash. You can pay an extra $1.99 to make sure that if your order is put into a stacked order. Then your order will be delivered first.
That’s what you get Karen’s. Lmao.

    ADVICE FOR DECLINING ORDERS 👇👇👇
I can’t remember what utuber doordash person I learned this from. But they said whenever you decline an order, if there really isn’t a certain reason you declined it. Always put the reason as, ORDER TOO SMALL. He said he didn’t know for certain but he always seems to get higher offer orders after that.
To be honest, I didn’t really believe it. But I did that to see if he was right. You know, there maybe a method to his madness. Because I’m seeing higher orders after that as well.

I've definitely seen my offered pay change. It's a good thing I have somewhat of a photographic memory. I've had the distance triple and the pay offered go down. Or was that just on Lyft? Then I was asked if I had a screenshot of it! Well, maybe I need to be screenshooting everything I accept! You have proof because you record your dashes, but I'll bet the majority of Dashers have experienced a pay decrease or mileage increase at least once. I've only been dashing for about 6 weeks and the distance more than tripled without the pay tripling. I called Dash support. But they did not compensate me fairly. Once in a while they do, but sometimes they're downright nitpicky and stingy!

For years I was using AARP volunteers for taxes for free, they have different locations and the they do taxes for low income to middle income, they are professional and get your taxes filed for you for free, you can look at the aarp tax aide locations and they usually setup in libraries and churches, the only downside about this is you have to go early and wait in line but I love their services

As to your tax question, my wife and I use an accountant and pay about a hundred dollars to have them prepare it. H&R Block is an average way to go, but I would ask for a recommendation of a good accountant in your area from your friends and family. Also always make sure you track your miles for the best deduction. I use an app called Stride, but there are several good ones. Love your videos. Keep on posting them. They help me. We are all just trying to earn an honest living. You are good people. Thanks.

I have been using an accountant for 3 years now. I keep all my receipts and mile log and just hand it all over, only costs me $150. I would never use places like H&R Block, half their people are barely trained and just use the same software you would at home if you did it yourself

I haven't had it happen to me that I know of but I have seen other dashers say the customer has 24 hrs to change the tip. Also, if you have earn by the hour in your area, can you try that and see how they compare? I've seen a few try it and make $25/hr and $35-$40/hr.

The Doordash app tells the customer when you are doing multiple pick ups. If they give you a bad rating for that, Doordash will remove it.

I will never use H&R Block again after they completely forgot about the tax papers we had turned into them 2 months prior for them to do our taxes, we had to call them to see what was going on and they acted clueless, finally they got them done a week after we called and then charged us $600 for my husband and I's simple W2 taxes. We use a small accountant company near by to us now, they are great at what they do, never miss any deductions or 1099 expenses, always go through our taxes with us and do them in front of us and always charge us fairly. Highly recommend a small tax or accountant company, I will never go to a big company like H&R Block again, they are out for money in my opinion. I also will never do my own taxes with 2 W2's and 1099 Doordash income, I would hate to mess it up and owe a bunch of late fees and back taxes, because I didn't know what I was doing LOL. We paid $250 last year for 2 W2's and a 1099, which is honestly cheap compared to what we had been paying.

If a customer decides they don’t wanna tip you after the order is done or even during. They can call support and get it taken off.
They have to do the same thing if they wanna add more to the tip too.
But it says while ordering through doordash. That you have to have a good reason to change your tip and the reason has be approved through doordash. That goes for both adding and taking away a tip given.
I’m not saying that’s what happened to you. Because I dunno.
    But I do know this,
If this wasn’t a customer taking away a tip. (Which I kinda doubt because the process seems long and problematic.)
Say DoorDash glitched and it caused the change in price. Which has happened before.
You said you know which order is. You can call doordash support and ask them about it. Since you have video, you can supply evidence, but they probably won’t need that.
Tell them what day, what order, and around what time of day if you can remember. They should be able to see the price offered to you at first and see what you actually got. Then doordash will compensate the difference.
You don’t have to call the same day. You can call support about any delivery you had recently.
