11:25 i dont know about the in universe expiation about the gear luke had, but that cylinder on the back of both normal clone and storm troopers is a thermal detinator as a last ditch resort, also first time veiwer, ive been looking to make a 41st trooper armor and the hev suit from half life and you make it seem somewhat easy to do
A practical explanation to the box on the back of the belt, I cosplay as a 501st Hero (Luke) Stormtrooper. The box actually houses the retractable wire reel connected to the grapling hook. Also a dummy switch for (in universe) coms.

Great video, Hay the storm troopers knee guard on the right lower armor is so the trooper to nail down in a shooting position and the utility belt on the lower left leg armor is actually for ammo for quick loading in the nailing position the armor looks fantastic
@WilliamJakespeareProps you can also see it on the poor stormtrooper he takes out when the falcon lands on the deathstar too. Noticed that on my last watch a few weeks back
The thing Luke wears at the Back instead of the Thermal detonator Tube is a grappling Hook which He useselater to get over the deep hole in the death Star with leia
@@WilliamJakespeareProps Nope, Luke juuuust so happened to grab the only Stormtrooper's armour that has a grapple on the back. I’m sure this has been said many many times already. But PLEASE make the new Captain Enoch helmet!!!?!? I know it’s a storm trooper mixed with a tank or shore trooper and then either samurai or a Venetian style mask. Possibly Roman military. I’m going to be cutting up some of my masks to try and cobble this one together for sure. Anyways, love your work!
Any chance I can manage to do This for My sons Halloween costume Even though i have never made anything like This ever? Will I be able to make an ok copy even if I only have one thickness foam or do I really need to invest in a bunch of EVA foam
Sadly I’m located in the cold dark north (a.k.a. Norway). I tried to find 10mm but alas, all I could Get My hands on was 6mm and 4mm so I got both and I’m hoping it will do. And I pray to the ADHD gods (the old and the new), that My motivation for once can last all through a crafting project so the little guy has something to wear for Halloween. I got the heat gun, and the glue and the little sharp thingys and everything. 🙏🏼✨
@@WilliamJakespearePropssorry to bother you again, just to be sure. Print out template on paper, then transfer onto cardboard, and THEN onto the EVA foam?

Luke's unique belt is actually his grappling hook from when he swings the chasm.
I always assumed it was in one of the front pouches on the utility belt. I'll have to go back and take a closer look.

EVA Foam (Linking foam Floor Mats)
Nice job. Hello from Russia
Hello there!
I'm a larger person, so by using the tape manikin, I could make a suit that would fit me? And the round thing on the back of the armor is a thermal detonater ( AkA grenade)
For sure!
Is "flomped" the technical term for vacuum forming? 🤣 great work as always!
indeed it is!
Suggestion for the next build is the black pouch made to hold the e11 and also to make a e11 blaster for the stormtrooper
good idea! I somehow only have the Clone Wars ones.
This will serve the Empire well..
long live the Emperor!
hello! Great work! How thick is the white foam? Thanks!
it's mostly 3/8 inch thick floor mats, but there's some 4mm craft foam mixed in there.
For what it is it really looks great 👍 I made a small Predator costume like this🛸
Thanks, yeah eva foam's really versatile!
7:08 man jake is all torso. 😂
Hey man, awesome build, you look like the real deal!

Stormtrooper at the improve. Good vid. New sub. Great job crafting that. Goin to watch the helmet build now..
