    As one employee of many that worked this flight, we always wondered why this route was even in service. IT WAS ALWAYS EMPTY. I specifically remember the lowest amount of passengers I had on that flight one day. It was 3. THREE passengers. Usually on a “good” day, it was around 25 passengers. I actually really liked flying this route due to the lack of passengers and because the layover was longer than normal domestic flights. A normal domestic flight would have anywhere from a 12-18 hour layover. With this flight however, we usually got 30 hours since it ran so infrequently. I’m actually glad this came upon my recommended videos today. Brought back some memories! Memories of a Waffle House (guilty pleasure, don’t judge lol) and a Country Inn & Suites. I remember when the news of this broke. I wouldn’t say I was surprised..more of a “That makes total sense!”, type of reaction lol. I had validation that I wasn’t crazy thinking that we really didn’t need to be flying this route as it was a total waste of money. Anyway, just thought I’d share my experience lol. Good times....I suppose lol. Can’t say I remember running into Samson on that flight. Never really paid any mind to who was sitting up in first class or economy for that matter since it was a rather short flight. Thanks for the trip down memory lane lol! You’ve got a new sub!

      I would deduce that it and dodge city both have municipal airfields served (at government expense under EAS) by United Express, and the air route between the two is excessively lengthy. What’s more is that you can get to Columbia direct from LaGuardia on both American and Delta Connection. What I’d like to know is why he wanted to fly into Columbia, when Augusta is far closer, and doesn’t have competition to New York.

      I mean, define "worse." For me JFK is worse because I live in Newark and it's quite annoying to fly into or out of JFK requiring at least two hours and three trains. I also had my longest wait ever at JFK in security, topping anything I've every seen in Newark, but JFK is a nicer airport and if you live if NYC or Long Island it's connected well enough.

      Newark is good if your flying United, because they have redone their terminal. Anything else is a drag because the airport is smaller and crowded. For people who live in NJ, it is a 20-45 min ride, while JFK can take 2-3 hours. JFK has worse security and it can be harder to get around, but otherwise they’re about the same. LaGuardia is definitely worse than both.

    • @Classof2020
      @Classof2020 4 года назад +2

      @heartofdarkness19 Well, I’ve been to JFK and it was awful. It took an hour to check in our bags and another hour to get through security, and half an hour to the gate. We also drove from Boston-5 hours. My definition of worse is length of time, aging if any, and infrastructure.
