I expect that someone else has already pointed this out, but flights to Nuuk Greenland will have to wait a while as they continue construction of an approx 7,000 foot runway to replace their old runway less than half that length. However, I am sure you will be one of the first to explore any Canada-Nuuk routes when I the time comes and I look forward (in advance) to your report. Thanks for a great video!
The service I received on Canadian North on a morning flight from Edmonton-Yellowknife last June was the best I've experienced in close to 40 years, and I was an F/A with Delta in the late 80's. I was fortunate/lucky/grateful that after an Air Canada cancellation and a hotel expense I was booked to fly Canadian North. I was in the very back on my flight (best airline breakfast ever!), and upon arrival I was in first class since we departed from the rear exit. If they did direct flights from Winnipeg to Yellowknife from June until late August( U.S. Tourist/Fisherman), they would probably make money. No one from the mid-western states wants to go near Toronto. Air Canada makes Spirit Airlines look like Pan Am in the 1960's! I actually drive to Winnipeg from the Minneapolis area to avoid Toronto. BTW, Delta has also become a living HELL! If you need to go through Atlanta, just take a steak knife and run into a brick wall! Things are also hideous here! Things certainly are not changing for the better.
If you look closely at the engine on the right at 1:11 you will see a black piece of FOD almost get sucked into the engine. Thanks for the great video! :)
Alex you should do a review on Canadian north's sister company Air Inuit again ! The service has improved and maybe you can do a info video on the compony world's first Dash 8 large wide cargo door !!
I remember when Pacific Western Airlines ruled the Northern skies. Happy memories of flying Edmonton to Inuvik a few times when I was young. The hot meal service was very good from what I remember. They flew 727 and 737 combi jets. And of course, boarding up the tail stairs on the 727!
Yup Boeing 737-700's is the Best Aircraft I flew on with Westjet Airlines not Canadian North Airlines Awesome Video Alex nuff respect to all your Videos on Aviation and Travel keep going and Dream Big on Aviation man 100%
I would Love to See Canadian North Airlines Boeing 737-800's come up next after they complete there Boeing 737-700's Planes then afterwards the Boeing 737 Max Family of Jets in the upcoming years!!!!
You should do a trip from YOW to YFB then to a smaller community. Youll see how Canadian really is, crap ton of cancellations with no compensations and maybe booked for the next available flight, with that flight being 2 or 3 days later.
I’m booked on this flight in September. CN still shows mine as a confirmed booking. But you can’t make a new booking. So does the flight exist or not? Who knows? They haven’t informed passengers. Flying on a Northern Canadian airline. You never really know if the flight will get you there or when. I might have to switch to WestJet.
The hot towell reminded me of CP Air coach or now called economy service. Real dinners with real cutlery. Does Canadian North offer food partially due to lack of it further north?
Have you had the opportunity to check out PAL Airlines out of St. John's ? It will be a good choice for "Dash Across Canada II" :D ) (had the opportunity to fly them this past week up to Wabush).
The doors are left open until boarding is complete, as is standard procedure. Regs mandate locked doors once taxiing is underway, and stay locked until deplaning at the destination starts.
Unfortunately Canadian North cancelled the route this week. So this is now an historical film!
Damn. Just like that, huh? 😢
Competition flies under cost, but no such service…
Westjet put the 737 max with the dash 8 on this route
Yep I was expecting that to happen.

The 737-700 is one of my favorite 737 Variants. Nice video!

That's the left engine. ;)
@@calebrw My bad. You are correct. What I meant to say was that it was the engine that appeared to us on the right side. :)
AKA engine 1
I flew on this plane back when it was registered C-FXWJ and with WestJet!
I really loved that view flying into Yellowknife!

Alex, I hope you do one for Artic/Resolute Bay or Tuktoyaktuk/Inuvik ?
Another great video, Alex. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks!
At least the "Flair treatment" was only the temporary colour and not the fact that your plane was repo-ed! :)
love it Alex!

I fly on these new fellas to work! We used to fly on the 733s, 732s, and when loads were heavy we'd fly on old Flairs 734s.
I used to fly 5T from Edmonton to inuvik every 2 to 3 weeks, I really miss them
Wow, they really spoil you on Canadian North!
Wow, that's amazing! Great video Alex.
I flew on these so many times lol they were our charter from Fort Mac to st john's
New favourite channel!
Free meal on domestic flight ? That sells itself ! I’m flying Canadian North.
It not hardly worth eating
Thats an amazing video! Liked!
did you know that even in flight mode, your phone's GPS still works so through something like Google Maps, you can see where you are
Great video ! Loved the cookies on Canadian north.
for eco class that was good. Unfortunately they do not offer a first class cabin.
The NGs are too busy shuttling pax to the patch and around the network to have any block time over blue water

Hey Alex I’m going on vacation in October and we are flying to Vancouver I hope I meet you at YYC😁
Westjet took over route again with q400 and max 8 and air canada CRJ returned
May I ask : what do you use to film?

CN is ending this route as of the end of June. Definitely contact them!
100% not flying Canadian

WHERE CAN I SEE WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE???!!!
Impressive, it appears that Canadian North really cares for their customers...unlike American based airlines!
tidbit: we bought those seats for 704 new and discarded the Mexican seats
Would love to fly with them someday!
