You're the best!!! When I look for simplicity patterns, I search thru yours, then head to RUclips to see if there's a tutorial! You've helped me so much. I have been subscribed to your Sewing Academy for a few years. Thank you for what you do. ❤

I can't even begin to explain how gratefull I am to you for posting this... I'd been trying to figure out the collar part for 6 hours yesterday following the pattern I had but it wasn't making any sense to me and led to me crying in frustration and then I found this... My jacket doesn't look anywhere near as good as yours or the picture on the pattern but it's done now and I can move on... Thank you!

... you cleared up a lot of questions I had on pockets, linings and collars... could not get it from the pattern drawings (actually in most pattern drawings I can’t even tell what part of the garments they are talking about from the picture they have 😳).... I totally get what’s happening now, thanks to your super clear instructions!

Thank you for the tutorial! I would like to sew a suit for myself after I get out of the beginner stage and become experienced enough at sewing clothes. After that, I will get experience by sewing a suit for a small child. (I can donate it to a charity's thrift shop so that they can earn money from my learning to sew.). Then, I'll be able to sew s suit for myself out if the expensive quality cloth.

@IfixAorCraft2 definitely, perhaps the finished product does not look so good when being worn. Sadly!;-( The same thing goes for some foods that you see being prepared. I've learned that some advertisers tend to use non edible items to advertise their products. Example of places that do just that are Burger King, McDonald's KFC, Popeyes, pizza shops etc. Sadly!;-(😥😢😪😭. Nevertheless folks are tricked into thinking that the foods are looking good as displayed. Sadly!;-(😥

Very good instructions. I’m an experienced seamstress, and I’ve made similar projects but it’s been a while.
I am making this for my teen granddaughter, and the other garment I made was a coat. I’m hoping that the jacket turns out as nice as the coat did.

This is a very comprehensive video, but the speed of it is much too fast. A jacket is a big undertaking for a home sewer, and the technicalities need to be explained in a little more depth, and slower, so one can keep up with it. It would be useful to know with techniques related only to jackets or outerwear, why Mimi is doing some of the steps, ie the object of them. Presumably this video is being used as a marketing tool for the pattern, however coverage of the making of it in this case, has failed as far as I am concerned. It has made it look possibly more complicated than it actually is. Mimi is a fantastic seamstress, so please let us see a bit more of her wonderful skills.

My advice to you is try doing more blouses and maybe a light jacket with no lining first if this looks too intimidating to you. Once you get more experience it will be a piece of cake.

I don’t want to be picky but could please try not to use ...” go ahead ...” so repeatably it’s a bit annoying and easy to be replaced.... Other than that I love what’s you doing. Great job. X
