@@DarrenTan21 I have HSC trials coming up. After trials, should I start doing some sort of UCAT prep (Say 30 mins every morning)? I don't want to fall into the same trap of leaving UCAT prep till last minute 😅
Would it be faster to skim read the whole extract then answer the questions as opposed to flicking to and from the extract and questions? Or is it best to key-word hunt for each answer option?
With the UCAT the best strategy is to try all the possible strategies and see what you like more. I liked skimming to kind of see what the passage is about and then look at the questions and find key-words from there.
@@DarrenTan21 thanks a lot. I just wasn't sure because when you remove subvocalisation I think the memory of the words and phrases are forgotten more easily and that your reading ideas instead
Nice Video Darren!
Cheers Emil

Would you advise learning to speed read by removing subvocalisation for verbal reasoning thanks
Yeah you want to be able to read quickly, and that would demand you to not pronounce every word in your head
@@DarrenTan21 thanks a lot. I just wasn't sure because when you remove subvocalisation I think the memory of the words and phrases are forgotten more easily and that your reading ideas instead
I mean you can try both, but it’s not like you need to remember words/phrases that much because you scan the texts after each question anyway
