  • This is not a how to as there's plenty of videos out there on the subject.
    This is what I did differently to a lot of others.
    I've added a back up battery in case the power goes off and also some accessory sockets for charging phones etc.

    i could use some more exhaust with raising diameter inside with some thin guard protection like motorbikes !!! this might add some extra heat inside building!!!

    Loads of heat wasted from the exhaust, you could try feeding it through an old central heating radiator mounted on the wall, in at the top, out at the bottom then out through the wall.

      I did consider that but I am extremely limited for space at the minute. I’m building a new shed this year so should have a bit more room to play with in a few months.
      Thanks.

      It’s an alarm system back up battery, 12 volt 3ah.

    How have wired the battery into the circuit with the 12v transformer

    • @bodganeering
      @bodganeering  11 месяцев назад

      Battery wired direct to the output of the power supply through a switch to isolate when I’m not using it.

      @@bodganeering won’t that increase the voltage as heater is powered by battery and transformer

    • @bodganeering
      @bodganeering  11 месяцев назад

      No as they are wired in parallel. It will actually reduce the start load on the power supply as the battery will supply most of the current.

      will the transformer power supply charge or over charge the back-up battery?

      @randymoberg4331 it will keep the battery at a set voltage whilst the whole set up is running and will top it up if it has lost some charge.
      Fully charged battery is around 12.8 volts and I’ve adjusted the power supply to 12.4 volts, this should keep everything in the sweet spot without stressing the power supply too much.
