    Wow - Oscar Duran here. Just came across your channel and was pleasantly surprised to find a shout out on it for my build. Much appreciated. I've been going over your videos. Surprised I haven't come across your channel before. You've done a great job. You have a new fan. Keep it up.

    Sweet design! Foot print seems like it'd be a little big for a smaller home gym, but seems easy to tuck in a corner somewhere when not in use.

    • @KaizenDIYGym
      @KaizenDIYGym  2 года назад +1

      Yeah, it takes up space when laying flat, but can stand up on its side when not in use. Not too bad

      Same here. I had pretty much stopped using my landmine altogether. Now I use it all the time.

    That 2x4 stand, but in the middle and leg it swivel. You could add another layer of 2x4 to the center one you have and fed a bolt through. Look at Titan seated calf raise machine for reference

    • @KaizenDIYGym
      @KaizenDIYGym  2 года назад +1

      Depends on how much lumber costs in your area. I made this out of scraps so it was free to me. If I bought everything it would be less than $50

    UHMW plastic is held on by three sets of screws. I would be interested in hearing if the center set of screws begin to interact with the bar. If they do, an easy fix might be to use four sets of screws or to offset the middle set.
    Thank you for sharing! Stay safe.

    • @KaizenDIYGym
      @KaizenDIYGym  2 года назад +1

      Thanks! Yeah I thought about that. I used the countersink bit on the uhmw so the screws sit lower than the top of the uhmw. So far there’s no contact but I’ll watch to see if uhmw starts to wear down over time.

    I’ve always wondered if there is a way to do chest supported tbar rows with a landmine. Do you think your bull dog pad would work for this?

    • @KaizenDIYGym
      @KaizenDIYGym  2 года назад +3

      A bulldog pad could work, it would need to be mounted to something. I’ve been milking over this trying to think of a way to make it chest supported.

    This design make sense for steel. Working with wood, I think I would rather make a box structure with some board reinforcement.

  • @biggdogg35810
    @biggdogg35810 Год назад

    Do you feel extra support should be added under the middle of the crossboard where the barbell end will lay, under the piece of UHMW plastic?

    • @KaizenDIYGym

      I haven’t had the need but it wouldn’t be difficult to add

  • @zmr8882
    @zmr8882 Год назад

    Can you still perform belt squats with the weight on the other side of the cross support or are your feet too far forward? With the way you were preforming them in the video, I feel like the weight is going to hit the supports your feet are on.
