First of all because I consider myself a fan of devourment and also because they're one of the fist slam metal bands I've ever heard; and of course of this type of music, I like both the album you have spoken of but if I must choose only one album I choose mtd (or even better 1.3.8) I very like BTW but I'm more impressed by the other album. I've seen some of your videos on RUclips and I think that you are a great drummer!! What do you think about the vocalist of disgorge and pathology Matti Way? I think he is one of the best singer in brutal death metal genre and also one of my biggest inspiration as singing student, even if now I'm just at the beginning cheers from Italy!!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
So to me they are both good, my opinion is MTD is good cause it’s very under produced in a hood underground death metal way, the slams punch and crunch but there is too many and without variation it’s almost like they discovered a simple riff and did little variation and then over saturated the album with it but that is from an extreme critical standpoint I still bump this album all the time, vocals are the best on this one, the slams still do slam and have that old school sound, drums are realllllu interesting on here sounds like he’s banging on beer bottles lol but it completes the sound somehow, butcher the weak is the opposite of MTD the slams are far more creative yet the riffs become bland, the vocals being done by mike on this one imo are the only album where his are good, for me the highlight is the slams and the drums. That’s my opinion tho but damn I still expect these golden nuggets of albums

Thank you, I appreciate it! I’m a huge fan of Matti Way, I think he has some of the scariest and wettest sounding vocals in the genre.

Idk, when they loosened the snare that's where they kinda lost me lol
MTD imo easily beats BTW by default but nevertheless I though BTW was alright just the production I felt was a little too clean for my liking.
