    Hi Sarah,
tiny tip for the divergent roof wrap, vinyl wraps that resemble metal surfaces (chrome, brushed stainless, brass, copper) actually contain metal (process like CDs) and therefore are reflecting even in IR. If you wrap the roof in that stuff it will reduce thermal charge from the sun and so reduce load on your AC and cooling and so reduce engine power draw.
Same concept for a possible rear window tint that is reflective (bright) rather than aborbent (dark).
    Just maybe?
Other than that, a real color please, don't choose London-fog-grey. :-)
Thank you for the great content, happy wrenching.

  • @KGP0075

The gap between the cowl and windshield happens because the ridge that holds it in doesnt fit securely after its removed a few times. This usually happens when the windshield is replaced. Same thing happened to my MK4 GTI

Hey Sarah! Awesome vid and thanks for your "tech tick" lol 😅 I use tire foam on my whole car as a rule ! It's got a terrible paint job and is soo faded from the NM sun but the maguire's tire foam reconditions and makes it shine for at least a couple weeks. It gives the wiper and window cowles their luster back as well ☻

Making the paint clean makes sense to me, every wrap video I have seen has said the wrap goes on better if the paint is clean. One suggestion for the mirrors and the roof, how about polished carbon fiber wrap for both, it would still be black.

Nice Project :) I drive a TT 3.2 DSG (Bagged and some other Mods) myself. Before you wrap it, check for rust under the spoiler and under the license-plate illumination. Have fun with the projekt furthermore, the TT is upcoming classic and it's worth fixing it. Short hint for the plasic wiper pannel - the is no lip or anything it is just not in place. Just push it down, and if that didn't work some clips are missing.

For hot and sunny areas, UV protection for headlights and tail lights is highly recommended. I saw a pair of headlights at ten years old and there was not one bit of fading or crazing; all because of a simple plastic film.

Your wiper pannel just clicks into the bottom of your windscreen. It has like a retainer that it clicks into. I usually spray some glass cleaner onto it so it clicks in better. 👍

The clay bar process is not just for a better result in the end but contaminants that are now stuck to the paint might become loose with the buffer and as you keep buffing they will scratch the paint. That's why you use clay bar before polishing, to avoid taking those contaminants and grinding them on the rest of the car.

Tip for you Try Griots Fast Correcting Creme with a Chemical Guys Orange Hexlogic Pad. I have been trying a LOT of products lately. This is the best I have come across so far. Next time you purchase some product give it a try....I think you will not go back. It takes out 1000 grit and on a dual pass it can take out 800 but works like a one-step and zero dusting. I usually finish with the ceramic spray you did a video on a while back. (Hydrosylex).

The Audi TT is coming along very well, cant wait for the debt repair and the wrap. It's going to look so good you will need to step to new tires and wheels. Then you can do the Sarah OCD to the wheel wells! What's left on the mb mechanical list? Are you going to do a tune on this. I think it is worth it.

Sarah, you are motivating. I have a 2000 Mercedes ML430 that I purchased for $1,700.00) and needs some TLC. The previous owner was not too caring.(can you care for a car) I replaced several things and on my way to the transmission. Anyway, though I am working on it little by little(low budget) I would like your opinion on how to increase more go power and sound. Currently it has a 4.3 V8.

Nice TT. My daughter has one just like it and I have always liked them. The problem is that Audi change the lug pattern on the later models so you can't upgrade the wheels to more modern Audi wheels
