I tried making the cake and baked it in the microwave. And it turned out to be delicious and super soft!!! I had tried baking cakes in the microwave but they all would become hard after cooling down, but your cake was super soft even after cooling. My grandma also loved the cake... Thank you❤❤
@@caroldsouza702 In my microwave, it took only 5-10 mins. However it might vary for others. Bake until it's light brown and the inner part is completely cooked.

I love watching the videos you make, the recipes look awesome 🤩 I noticed you don’t soak the cake layers with milk or sugar syrup as normally done to keep the cake moist and soft. Will the cake be soft and moist without the soaking?
usually the soaking is meant for butter cakes or egg based sponge cakes! i find my cakes moist enough that they don't need it, frankly it may even make the cakes mushy if you add too much additional moisture

the strawberry short cake is a sponge cake which completely relies on the air in the eggs to give it a fluffy texture, this cake can use the air too but it primarily rises due to the leavening agents!
Just curious but if you wanted to make this vegan would it be possible to swap out the egg for a flax egg or a different egg substitute? Thank you in advance. Sorry to be a pain and ask your cakes just look incredible and I would love to try them! I'm obviously vegan though so u haven't been able to try any of them yet
No worries!! I personally have never tried using flax egg substitutes so I can't say for sure if the texture will come out the same, especially since I do whip up the egg slightly in this recipe...I do think the flavour will most likely be similar though

regular cocoa powder works just fine!! dutch processed just has a more intense colour and flavour

it's such a small portion of cake I think 1/4 cup is plenty! and yes butter works too
Can I put the entire batter in a single 4 inch pan instead of 2 pans?
it would take a lot longer to bake and it might have a much bigger dome!
