Now Shaheen Shah Afridi has become an excellent fast bowler for future world cricket in left arm category and he is just 20. There is also a 17 yr young right arm pacer Naseem Shah! Hope right arm pacers Nagerkoti and Mavi improve their fitness and challenge for the best world XI spot. From the current crop of best, Rabada (25) is the youngest!

very true, very few understand how exceptional this achievement is, and at a ridiculous average of 22.95- the enormity of a bowler taking 439 test wickets at a rate of 1 every 42 deliveries against test quality batsmen, over an entire career... across all types of wickets- the subcontinent flat pitches... australia's drop in pitches... everywhere.... he was the most lethal test bowler of all time.. no question- in this respect Steyn is under appreciated (this is chiefly because he is not an aussie/pom/indian/80s era west indian..much like Jacques Kallis is not praised enough for his exceptional exploits for the same reason), Just to put in perspective the quality of Steyn's strike rate, Shane Warne's strike rate was 57.4, and Malcolm Marshall 46.7- as a Proteas die hard fan he is greatly missed ! Irreplaceable lethality.

No wonder Harsha loves him ❤️❤️❤️. Ashwin has played a massive role in winning most test series for India than any other cricketer who's ever played the game. He has won the most Man of the Test series awards (7) for India followed by Sachin (5) and Sehwag (5). His bowling strike rate in Tests is better than Muralitharan, Warne, Kumble, Harbhajan etc. He's a Test Legend!

Graeme Swann got no mention in the entire video. He played for just five years and picked 255 wickets at an average of 29.96 and a strike rate of 60.1. Can be a great pick surely.
Well yeah but Swann will then replace Ashwin which is not possible because this guy is Indian
swann left Test at the end of 2013 , so only 3 years will be counted . If he play for 3 or 4 more years , he will be my first pick

This is what I find intriguing. On the one side we say we have got so many excellent fast bowlers in this decade that it is difficult to choose from, and on the other side, we say that the batsmen of this generation have scored a lot of runs because they did not have to face quality bowling in this generation. I understand that we cannot compare between eras, but let us not belittle the batsmen saying they did not have to face quality bowling. This video of your is a testament to that.

Wagner has better test stats if we are looking at left armers. Johnson at his best was maybe the best option, though he blew hot and cold quite a bit. Cummins has better stats than Starc.

First thing that I noticed is there ain't many options to choose from this decade. For ex. only 2 standout contenders in spin and allrounder dept, none in wicketkeeping. May be T20 and league cricket are the reasons. And can see only 2 players on the way to G.O.A.T list - Kohli and Smith.
But missing the high profile contests and contestants like Saqlain/Warne vs Sachin. Murali vs Ganguly, Sehwag/Hayden dominance at the top. McGrath vs Lara. KP, Flintoff, Harmison in Ashes. Waqar/Wasim/Shoaib bowling in tandem. Jacques Kallis the perfect allrounder. Deadly Alan Donald and Pollock. Laxman/Sehwag vs ANY SPINNER. Dravid vs any pacer. Steven Wagh the bailout man. Kumble's Indian side beating Aussies on the so called fastest WACA wicket. Never ending list.
Standout performances this decade in Test for me - Starting from the recent - Smith in Ashes. Unnoticed and less spoken about - Kohli not giving his wicket to Anderson in any of the tests, after having a torrid time in the previous series, that proves his greatness. Johnson & co wrecking havoc and finishing careers of few Englishmen. Would have loved to see some spin vs bat contests. Lanka and Pak cricket in rebuilding phase does not help much.
My few top contenders for the coming decade - Archer, Ben Stokes, Bumrah, Kuldeep, Labuschagne, KL Rahul, Sam Curran, Holder.
Hoping to see more exciting and dogged cricket

@Albert Aanand yes I do agree with you buddy..but the way virat has handled the Indian test team after Ms retirement on 2014 from test is exceptional. Under his captaincy, india retain 1st position in test. Also the level of energy he bring is phenomenal. He always excited and look control. Kane is also a excellent choice for captaincy..

I am surprised that Starc does not feature in the 11. Even his name was not mentioned by Bhogle sir. Overall the team is good but i would like to go with Starc instead of cummins.
Cummins is a much better test bowler than Starc. Starc has the third best test stats when it comes to him, Hazelwood, and Cummins.

Starc is less desciplined although white ball game , and ill surely pick . But red ball game you wanna go with Cummins hes desciplined and lethal bowling is way beeter than starc
When I look at the bowling lineup I think the only thing missing is a bowler who can seriously intimidate/challenge the batsmen with some chin music. There's already a swing bowler, a workhorse, and 2 spinners who will challenge either edge so for me, Anderson would drop out and Johnson would come in.
Harsha's love for Shah , cant keep him away from any discussion about wicketkeeper in test cricket
Stokes must have been there. But it's unfair that Harsha didn't even mentioned him as a primary contender for all-rounder of the decade.
Because a decade is a long time. Ben has been performing well but not for as long to be considered a decade.

Shakib inflated his score playing against weaker teams that too in spinning tracks of Bangladesh.
Stokes is also a great fielder.
Bro it is not fault of shakib, Bangladesh got less chance compare to other test team.. Shakib's highest batting score is in New Zealand (217). Also Shakib has 5 wickets haul against all countries. Shakib had remained top most of the years throughout this decade.. He is playing for bangladesh, that's why everyone understimate him. And how outstanding his wc19 was, it showed his batting bowling ability in foreign country..
