Excllent detail. Only channel I have found that covers DDNS in all its parts (service, port forwarding, update client, etc.). Can't recommend this young man enough.

Thanks for a great video. What if I have more than one camera. Will each one be on a different port?

Hey great video! Question: does dyndns work well for accessing remote routers if the isp use CGNAT?
    Thanks!

one small point, some dynamic dns providers view continuous update as misconfigured, and block updates from you until you fix the problem. the downloadable software from this provider monitors your system and only sends updates to the provider when your dynamic ip address actually changes.

This is very helpful, however im confused on something - I have something on port 8000 , I need access to, I understand the concept of port forwarding, my questions is what IP address am i forwarding to is the IP address of the computer Im on is it the modems IP, is it the routers IP is it my public IP? Can you clarify that for me?

Great explanation! Would you be able to do a similar one explaining how to configure a VPN on a router so you can access home network as if you are at home. for example accessing mounted NAS drives as if you were home etc

Hi, thanks ! Just great content!
I have one issue. I want to access a local device from outside the network but it's port is blocked for other IPs than the local one. Do you know what I could do in this case?

Hi I am trying to find an answer for combination of ddns and vpn. Is there any option to create .ddns.net with use of Openvpn? I would like to secure as most as possible the traffic between my home network and internet. Some sort of bridge by running Openvpn which connects me using .ddns.net.

Hi. To get the ip address for you local device have a look in your router settings. There is also a few network scanning packages out there.

Can't figure out which port my nas uses. I can only get to the router login page. Who cares about that? How do I remotely access devices like my NAS? Makes no sense. I can access my nas login if i use http service on standard port 80. why would you have to ever use a different port?
