Another blockbuster crop Sherry! Tomatoes are just starting as well! We only have one left, but we have 3 tomatoes so far! The weather is very unpredictable here! Lots of rain! Hopefully we will get some sunny days soon to help them grow! Thanks for sharing your garden with us!❤️

This is so inspiring! I’m a first year WAY north gardener and I’m so jealous of your outside peppers and tomatoes! In Alaska we are probably a month or so behind you in terms of growth but I’m hopeful my 2 new raised beds will look just as beautiful soon! I’ve been learning a lot from watching your videos!

Your garden looks lush, we have had nothing bit rain for over a month and cold weather. My garden still looks like I just planted them, the growth is very very slow

What are those hanging things at 20:20, are they for the squash bugs? Sticky traps?

    • @GardeningintheNorth

Yes! Both my gardens have been over run with cucumber beetles and squash bugs....I hung them and then gave my arched trellis a shake and tons of beetles flew up and found their forever home... 😁

Question...i am planning my first year w raised beds (downtown Toronto) and i was wondering if you have a video/advice for what/how to plant for having 2nd or replacement veg (getting a sexond planting from an area where something is finished early)?

Hello, one way to get a second planting of some veggies in our growing zone is to start the first round, from seed indoors. Root veggies with short growing days can be direct sowed in early spring and late summer. Leafy greens as well. Zucchini can be grown all season long. We have a short growing season and for things like Tomatoes and peppers, we can only get one planting. I would suggest researching "succession" planting in order to get the best use of your beds if you have limited space but want to grow lots!

THANK YOU ❤️😊 helping a fellow homesteader during the gardening season!! You are so kind my friend and they are SUPER lucky to have moved close to you. I hope you are videoing the set up. There are so many people who would love to see how to setup a homestead / garden! Btw, I saw that you harvested an onion that was just shy of a POUND!!

@@GardeningintheNorth I did ask if i could video tape everything and they didn't want anyone seeing what they are doing. I was kinda that way at first but now I'm just careful on what i show. Yes that onion was nice one. Fact that whole onion bed was real good this year. Thank for watching Sherry be safe and happy gardening
