To be fair..Jerry Lewis's divorce with first wif cost him MORE than a "pretty penny" and he was never late with any payment and provided a life most of us would envy for all his sons with a mansion, cars, food and vacations. It appears when you are in the rarified air of Hollywood which is weird and tough, you don't get a chance at a "NORMAL LIFE". and Jerry came from nothing and wanted to maintain a wonderful lifestyle and was able to work and keep working. there's something about drugs that ruins the person and everyone around him until he either gets off them or dies, it's frustrating, maddening and "implodes you".. Jerry did a LOT of good for Muscular Dystrophy and maintained a good career, a feat most of Hollywood can't keep up with, let alone giving yourself to a charity that sapps your time, strength and energy. NO ONE knows what happens in families and it should be kept private.
Out of my entire family and my late ex husband’s family, I am the only one who is in contact with my drug addicted middle son. He recently called me only to complain about another crisis in his life. Before he did so, I informed him that I just had emergency surgery on my left eye to save my sight, because the retina had spontaneously torn. I told him I needed all my attention on healing, so I didn’t want to hear negative news. He called me SELFISH! Don’t even try to walk in someone else’s shoes and think you know what their life is really like. I am his only emergency contact, if he ODs……again.
Your son is toxic my son is toxic as well don't have ANY contact this is painful but neccessary
@@user-rj5ld7jh7n I haven’t given up on Matt. I wanted to explain to people why Jerry Louis might have done what he did. Matt is no longer homeless. He called me the other morning to tell me a man had fallen into the street in front of his building. He immediately went back upstairs to get a Narcan and sprayed it in his nose, probably saving his life. I did good with all my sons. I’m proud of him.

It is easy, I guess, to try to put blame on someone else for our mistakes. After all, our entire society now identifies as victims of some imaginary villain. If a man eventually kills himself with drugs after a lifetime record of drug use, he could never be considered as being responsible for his own demise. Anyone who has had an addict in the family knows how much abuse and torture the family suffered at the hands of this “victim”. Much easier to target his father.
Jerry Lewis was an awful person, full stop. He did the muscular dystrophy telethons for he was handsomely paid to. He was a simply a shyster. Glad he’s gone.
Jerry was a wonderful father, these stories about him being mean is not 100%true.
