Everybody says that if Aniken wouldn’t of turned to the Darkside, he would’ve been fine and everything would’ve been rainbows and unicorns. The Jedi council most likely would not of let anakin stay at his master status, he possibly would have been arrested, padme and him would not of been able to be together unless they ran as padme wanted too
He became obsessed to be a Jedi Master because he was distraught about Padame's potential death. Him not joining the dark side means Padame doesn't die, meaning being a Jedi Master no longer an obsession. Relationships weren't strictly forbidden as long as it didn't consume them, we see Obi-Wan have one in Canon. Anakin could just lie through his teeth like he always does if issues arise.
Obi-wan should've chose Anakin. The Galaxy would've been better off. Obi-wan should have told the counsel to get someone else to ask Anakin to spy on the chancellor. Then after the counsel did Obi-wan should have told anakin he knew about Padme not the marriage but the relationship, then asked Anakin if the counsel asked him to spy admitting he knew and turned down the order for Obi-wan to give anakin the mission. I think these things would've brought back some of the broken trust and betrayal Anakin felt
But Obi Wan wasn't what Anakin needed, despite him being trained by Qui Gonn. He needed Qui Gonn. Even Lucas stated that. He also stated that IF Qui Gonn had gotten his hooks into anakin, he would not have turned or B. even if he did, Qui Gonn could have brought him BACK to the light side of the force.
There was nothing Obi-wan could've done to stop Anakin from turning to the dark side. Anakin was doomed from the moment he lost his mother and Qui-Gon.
There's honestly a lot of points where Obi-Wan could have saved Anakin, or at least made a difference for him, if he had just shown a bit of compassion: - Going back to Tatooine to retrieve Shmi. Granted, this would have technically been a violation of Jedi protocol, especially if Shmi was allowed to visit Anakin, but just simply knowing that his mother was safe would have really given Anakin some badly needed peace of mind. - Simply complementing Anakin on his growth as a Jedi every now and then. In the flashback scene from Kenobi, when Anakin and Obi-Wan were sparring, when Anakin disarms Obi-Wan he's shown taking pride in his accomplishment. However, Obi-Wan just puts Anakin down and sucker-punches him. I know Obi-Wan was trying to teach Anakin not to let his guard down, but consider the fact that Obi-Wan constantly criticized Anakin throughout both the prequels and the Clone Wars series and put yourself in Anakin's shoes for a moment. Would you not feel like you're just a failure if you were constantly criticized like that, even when you know you've achieved something? - More openness in general. There's a lot of stuff that Obi-Wan never told Anakin about that would have completely changed how Anakin viewed Obi-Wan, mostly for the better. Particularly, his relationship with Dutchess Satine and the time he temporarily left the Jedi order. Also, that business with the undercover op where Obi-Wan faked his death really could have been handled a lot better. This would have also encouraged Anakin to be more open about things as well, building trust between the two. - And, if all else fails and Anakin still turns, not just leaving him to burn to near death on the bank of a lava river and instead getting him some damn medical attention. It would have significantly challenged Anakin's corrupted worldview at that point, being shown compassion from someone he thought was his enemy.
i mean he still killed everyone at the Temple ..... but (note: I have not read the novelization) on Mustafar where it SEEMED like Anakin was reaching out ... I felt like no matter what anyone says OR Plot Armor of course .... that if Obi Won was more willing to open his mind (say Qui Gon style almost) and listened to Anakin .... maybe he could have been brought back to the light. And HOW THE HELL did no one know about Anakin and Padme? I mean if some of the JC knew and say figured out "he wants to get access to the restricted section to save the one he loves" .... and if they were open minded ... they could be "oh ... some of the actions/ wants make SENSE NOW" Everything could have changed. I still say Ahsoka could have brought him back (@ the beginning of Vader) too ... at least made it 50% Anakin /50% Vader
Anakin losing on mustafar was the best thing to ever happen for palpatine; it ensure Anakin as A slave for him.
Absolutely
Anakin: Palpatine is my friend!
Obi Wan: Palpatine is nobody’s friend. If Palpatine were an ice cream flavor, he’d be Pralines and Dick.
😁
Anakin lossing must've been a big flex for Palpatine as he just remade the jedis chosen one to he's own machine

This guy is zanny, I'm convinced.
You caught me

"Did you know the tragedy of Dart Vader, the powerful, the most powerful sith ever?"
If Qui Gonn didn't die I think he wouldn't have turned to the dark side

For sure! Obi-Wan was always close, but never close enough
@@thestarwarsgalaxy you would also think that more of Qui Gonn's lessons had sank in as from Obi Wan's age he had been with him for a good while.

Hell it was extremely possible that if Obi-Wan wasn't around when Padame was trying to change Anakin's mind, she would have succeeded.
@@loudboy317 He could have let his girlfriend talk him down instead of interrupting like an idiot
See that's one of the main problems 😕 with the movie's this should have been added they cut ✂️ all the meat out editing goes to far

I do wonder what would of happened if Obi wan used his charisma on mustafar rather then giving into his frustrations
Oh that was good
For sure!
