Thank you so much! I have had this laptop for a year or two and Red Dead Redemption 2 took up a ton of space on my computer. I won't have to worry about space for a while now!
didnt expect my name to be pop up in the videoly giveaway section lol , that surprised me ! anyway, thanks for the great content, enjoyed it as always !
Thanks for your awesome videos Ryan. You helped me make some *crucial* decisions for upgrading my GE76 Raider by answering the important questions. Good fortune to you my man 🥂
@@Levon2013 Sorry, was looking on something else~~~ I didn't use anything either since it's just a storage one, but you would like to use one if you are going to run it at always.
I just got my GE76 and this video makes me feel very comfortable about installing a 2nd SSD myself. The 1 TB that came with it got filled day one, and I'm considering a 4 TB addon. If that can work, I'm set for a while.
@@rotaugen454 I play ESO, WoW, and FFXIV. I'm using 2x Samsung 980 Pros, because it was cheaper to buy two of those than to buy one 4TB by about $300 lol.
You can use the same exact ones that I used in the video, and I have the link in the description. The reason that I use them is because they are plug and play, no need to do any overclock or anything, and they are compatible to pretty much all laptops.
After prying the pesky aluminum black cover from the ram, I was able to swap a 64GB of Crucial (2x32GB) DDR5 4800MHz CL40 laptop memory. My question now is: what's the max PCIe NVMe Gen4 M.2 2280 Internal SSD capacity that the MSI GE76 Raider i9-13900H RTX 3060 can hold. 2x 1TB, 2x 2TB (my expected choice) or 2X 4TB? Tyvm!
I have a 1tb ssd stock with my MSI Ge66 with one available ssd slot. Could I get a 2 tb SSD or do I have to match it with a similar size SSD? Sorry i’m new to all this😓
@@RyanYu Yes, boss. I want to know how to remove the fan blade and replace it.. I also want to ask what type of fan is suitable for the ge76 raider laptop?
hello! You installed it in slot for PCIex 3rd gen and this is SSD 3rd Gen - ok. And first is for faster 4rd gen! I didn't open my yet - is it empty slot is further from GPU as on video? So then when upgrade time will come - have to change places for faster SSD closer to GPU and reinstall Windows possbily.
Hello, I have a question, are both inputs for the ssd 4th generation pcle?, or only one is 4th gen and the other 3rd gen, how do I know which is the 4th gen, because I want to install a new ssd 4 gen for be principal , and the ssd of factory use like hdd
So sad I just now seen this video, I got a MSI GE76 the 3080 one and I added a seagate 4tb ssd to it and I have opened and took out the ssd before many times like you were doing but i never took the battery out or held down power button, literally just shut computer off and flipped it around and do my thing, nothing seemed to happen haha
@@RyanYu thanks but mine had no little hook. I tried like an amateur to push with tiny metal screwdriver which I think shorted the battery. I then found a plastic one, but too late.
GG to the winner better luck next time to all of us

I still have it, and more test needs to do with it, I'm not sure what to do after it yet. So far okay.
Thank for making videos and thanks for hosting the gaw.
You bet
I can't say many time how much more space in need on my laptop. Kudos to the new add on.
Let’s go.
Hey bro, I am tempted to get the external SSD hard drive from Crucial, what do you think of it?
that's good too.
Well buying this laptop. Hope it works for the next years to come
It will surely do the job man, I have the link in the description for the exact model.
To be honest, I really digged all the upgrade you have made to it.

Congratulations on another successful installation.

Close to our ultimate goal too.
More space is all we all can't get enough. Great!
Never enough.
Did you use any thermal pads, if yes, which thickness?
I didn't use any because I don't think the RAM will generate that much heat.

yes sir.

Yes, correct, and you don't have to reinstall the windows, you can swap the windows to your new drive.
Do you have faster SSD or decided not to upgrade ? I am looking. Later for Samsung 980 pro 4gen
@@cybersuperior2077 I don't need that much. 3rd gen is well enough for my need.

The older version uses both in 3rd gen. I'm not sure about the new ones.
Next can you please show how to upgrade the memory for this same machine?
You can refer to my other videos of change if the ram, they are pretty much the same.
