Damn drunk karaoke night. What a shame for such a legendary group. Poor Brian looking lost..Carl helping his older brother sing in time and trying to hold it together with a little guitar solo that some daft sound engineer had turned too low.
To be fair there are about two dozen people on stage, that's not an easy thing to manage without a lot of pre-planning which it doesn't appear there was.
Worst version ever. Neither the drummer nor the bass player has any clue of the song, the bass is out of tune, the falsetto is missing... More than 50 artists on stage and you can only hear a couple of voices. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame should have let the beach boys play with their regular touring musicians.
#Rockgods. I was in love with The Beach Boys at a child, less than a decade old, at this time, and if they had asked me THEN, even I could have explained in detail why THIS SONG was the hardest to play live - and not my choice of song. I would have picked God Only Knows with a solo acoustic guitar. Or even better, Surfing USA or Don't Worry Baby depends on what mood they wanted to convey and how much time was alotted. They weren't prepared to handle this song, it wasn't "We are the World" being recorded, even though it looked like it😅... , but I love them and their flaws nonetheless. 💕 🎉
And there's Arlo, in the thick of things when it mattered most. I don't acre what anyone says, he was *always* the glue that held the whole scene together.
I was very surprised to see
Mic Jagger singing in Barbara Ann . Class act he is
And yet, Mike Love said earlier that Mick Jagger was always chicken shit to get on stage with the Beach Boys 😆😅🤣😂
Spends a whole speech bragging how great the beach boys are and then delivers this, well done Mike Love
What else do you expect from the King of Music?
@@simonedwards9450 a decent performance 😂🤣
As Mike said, it's for "World Peace! And Love! And Harmony!" 😂🤣
@@82pythons85 but that performance was far from great
The Beach Boys gave us Brian Wilson’s an instrument from the Gods and Mike Love, an absolute tool!
Love Little Steven and Mick looking at each other like WTF at 2:10.

that was sad... yikes. 40 people on stage... 39 wanted to disappear down a trap door... and get the hell away from Mike Love.
0:57 Bob Dylan and George Harrison behind Mike
I think the sound engineer went to the toilet right before they started to play
He probably had to barf after hearing Mike's acceptance speech.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Probably purposefully too
Maybe not the best performance, but still historical.
Incredible, that in such a special place, the sound is so bad. Not only this video but all of the Hall of Fame.
Oh wow, I always thought there were more words to "Barbara Ann" than simply "Barbara Ann."
Please upload The Beach Boys full acceptance speech
@@yoblol thank you so much
Of all their songs they could've sung... they choose the one they didn't even write?

This was an off the cuff unplanned performance. Get 50 artists on stage and this is what ya get.

One of a few BB songs that causes a great deal of trauma as it reminds me of an event from the past.
I see Silvio Dante
I thought my audio was cracking, but it was Mike's mic
Even the microphone was too embarrassed to be around Mike.
Silvio Dante was one of the finest consiglieres of fhe post Gotti/Gigante era.
The finest. Bada bing
Mary Wilson!
Lyrics for anyone wondering:
Ba ba ba ba Barbra Ann
Wasn't Mick supposed to be too chickenshit to get on stage with the Beach Boys?
Got to see the BB back in the early 80,s, Mike Love did a 20 minute tambourine solo and then thanked himself.
Was this after the speech? 😬
And there's Arlo, in the thick of things when it mattered most. I don't acre what anyone says, he was *always* the glue that held the whole scene together.
😂
Amazing sound
Where? Certainly not here.
and Arlo is trippin'- these performances are all crap shoots, but it's fun to see the various people on stage
Is that Mohammad Ali dancing with them? Looks like him.
Mohammad Ali was there and I’m pretty sure he got a shoutout in The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and Bob Dylan’s speeches for some reason
Mike Love claimed in his speech that he came there that night with Ali.
Almost forgot how much the Beach Bums sucked in person-Thanks Mike Douche-King for this great reminder!
i spotted george harrison
George Harrison my guy!
Springsteen and Little Steven Van Zandt do not look amused lol
They stole “everybody say yeah!“ from Stevie Wonder’s ‘Fingertips’.
Salio como el OGT
looks improvised...
Carl Wilson in the Solo!!
wtf
These all star jams are a waste. Any of them.
sounds horrible but atleast you can hear Brian!
Terrible
Embarrasing!!!
They should have played a different song, perhaps one that the Beach Boys actually wrote, instead of this lame-o pop one-off.
