This bug can be done in GoldSrc (Half Life, 1.6, etc.) and in other Source engine games. It's a very deeply embedded mechanic in how the player model interacts with the ground (any surface) when falling and crouching. I'd be shocked if they fixed it to be honest.

I see difference between CsGo jumpbug and Cs1.6. CSGO you only release crouch at the right time. In CS1.6 you gotta release crouch and jump at the right time which is harder. Also when bhoping it doesnt give you any speed boost in 1.6, you only stay bit longer in the air so you get bit higher following jump (considering flat ground bhoping).

theres loads of them. just bind scrollwheel to +jump, jump into the vent and crouch just before the wall so you dont hit your head and use your scroll wheel.
Thought this video would be crouch exploit like tf2 where u crouch but your pov is still in standing view so everyone sees you crouched only while you are standing and can shoot people over barrels too

You probably won't be using it in most jumps anyway, and anything that allows you to fall anywhere but not take fall damage, prevent you from making noise when you should and allows you to jump distances the mapmaker did not intend for you to be able to jump is unfair. It might be difficult, that does not mean fair. Valve absolutely has the right to remove this if they want.

jump bugs and edge bugs have been in go for a really long time. it makes it easier to do it consistently if you practice bhopping with it

I find it easier to do this if you think about it as needing to let go right as your view goes lower than it would be when standing.

Used crouch jump for bhopping. Also in 1.6 there was a bug just like this which was neat.
Its kinda similar to CJ(Crouch Jump) that we used to do on HNS servers in CS 1.6

I mainly use this bug in comp to silently fall off of a position, I.e. jumping onto top banana and falling off the other side silently
