Hi Angela, have fun with this, but it's not just for amateurs but for anyone of any ability, you can add whatever details be it complex or simple inside your outline. 😀
I have a quick question...I just bought a bottle of pēbēo making fluid. It appears to have settled while on the store shelf. Do I stir or shake it? Or is it ruined? I haven't used this brand. I used liquitex previously and it's extremely difficult to get off cotton paper.
I always stir my Pebeo, but stir it slowly with a cocktail stick. Shaking it will cause lots of bubbles, which will be a pain to apply to the paper leaving holes everywhere. I have never used liquitex so sadly not something I can answer for you Laurie,😉@@lauriebowen25
Wonderful. 2 ideas from your inspiration 1) this would make a nice replicated motif design on a bolt of fabric (i like to sew), 2) I've been working on a short illustrated book for my niece, who loves elephants. This silhouette concept will help me be playful and stop being fussy about elephatic realism (haha a new word too!). 👍
Never should have watched at bed time..my mind is spinning with all sorts of things to paint using this idea...maybe I should have sent for 2 bottles of mask..???😂😂

What a great idea. I love this particular kingfisher.
Glad you like it, thank you 😊
What a fun thing to do for the amateurs like me to have a go at. Love it, be great for my cards! X

I like the word! LOL A good idea regarding the fabric as well. 😀
Great idea! I'm just learning to use masking fluid, and applying several layers seems like so much fun! Can't wait to try it! Thanks for your video. ❤
Have fun, you can do it! Think of other outline ideas as well, just think what you can do for some greeting cards. 😀
What an interesting technique which makes for a very interesting painting. Thank you for demonstrating this.
Glad you liked it Louise, thanks for watching. 😊

It's all about playing and seeing what you can do with it, have fun leerag 😀
Just in time ...my new bottle ( old one probably was old enough to vote) arrived yesterday from Amazon...
LOL, I know the feeling regarding old masking fluid, sometimes you just have to start afresh. 🙂
I saw you flash a painting of an elephant, but I can’t find a tutorial for it. Did you do one, or is it part of another?
Hi, I do have a full tutorial on painting an elephant on my Patreon channel: www.patreon.com/TheDevonArtist but not here on RUclips though. Paul 🙂
