This song is actually quite challenging in terms of breathing. But the pauses in the breathing are also a way of evoking the desperation in the song.

Kelly sang the whole song last night during her Las Vegas show. She sang it a bit different than this one. There are fan videos of it here on YT. Would also love to see you react to her own gut wrenching song, "Lighthouse". A couple of live versions of it from earlier this year and also from last night are on YT.

KC is one of the most gifted vocalists on earth. There are 8.1 billion people on this planet. I have yet to hear any of them produce the combination of vocal skills KC has - consistently emoting from the depth of her soul is KCs aura. She makes people feel it - and there's nothing else to say.
You sound like me when I try to describe Kelly to people who haven't listened to her. I agree that she is one of the best!
