Thank you for the comment! I hoped to give people a well rounded review of this device so I'm glad to hear it was helpful. Now, if only Kobo itself would learn from some of the issues I pointed out... :)
great review! Also nice to see a more recent review after some of the updates. I subscribed. Looking to pick up something like this. Since I am an avid e-reader and have other Kobo devices this one makes the most sense. I hope Kobo IS listening and addresses these issues. I am sure I am not the only one considering buying one and hoping they continue to improve on it. Also your production value is great...and appreciated!
Thanks! Really glad you enjoyed it! Yes, here's hoping Kobo can iron out these issues...the device has a lot of potential. Positive word of mouth always helps, so if you know someone who's thinking about the Elipsa...let them know The Inktelligent is out there.
Great review! I love my elipsa, and I don't seem to have the stylus or palm rejection issues you're having. The two updates I am desperately hoping Kobo will roll out are 1) The ability to annotate sideloaded ePubs, not just those purchased from the kobo store, and 2) The freaking ability to change the pen thickness when annotating PDFs!!
Thank you! Glad to hear your experience with the Elipsa sounds a bit more 'smooth-sailing' than mine. Both of those things would, indeed, be welcome changes! :)
I think you've got a compelling economic argument there. :) The ReMarkable 2 has quite a bit more nuanced writing capability and (I think) feels much nicer to write on. However, the Kobo Elipsa is definitely the better "all-in-one" device, with bluetooth audio capabilities, a frontlight, support for many more file formats....oh...and let's not forget NO subscription fee model! (hopefully it never will!)
@@theinktelligent Don't get me started with the charge times on the ReMarkable and the battery life, or lack thereof... For me the Kobo any day that ends in a Y.
Wow!!! What A well organized and informative review.

Very welcome! Thank you for the comment! :)
$800+ for a ReMarkable, $560 for a Kobo.
I know which one I will be getting... Got!

Thanks for a very informative and helpful review. Indeed: Kobo, please learn from Inktelligent's suggestions.
Thank you, Sir! Much appreciated!
