Hi, loving these scary monster and legend type videos - and you are obviously enjoying making them, so I have a suggestion which could be interesting, challenging and potentially pretty rewarding with the added benefit that your viewers can go and look up the subjects for themselves. A list of 'horror' movies based on allegedly true incidents.
I'm bias. My favorite story is Goatman. It helps that I seen the damn thing when I was little in Southern Oregon. Absolutely terrifying and so alien it caused the "freeze" effect even though it was about 100 feet away looking down on me from this hill in Hamaker Park. I zipped the tent back up, hid in the sleeping bag and suppressed the memory for twenty years.
Love all your vids. Be awesome to see some legends/cryptids or myths from Holland any of those. I'm from there(Gronigan Holland) keep up the awesomeness
Falling down in the couch, 48 hours day and smashing on this video. Falling a sleep cause I'm totally spent! Then I wake up the exact moment you say "RUN!!" at the end of the video. Not connecting where I am at this moment I actually set off running and hit my living room wall. NOW! I'm awake and my head hurts so now I get to see what you told me to run from 😂
I just watched Creepiest Legends In North America, amd the last got me a little bit spooked but not enough that I wont go down to the river or creek that I live by again. I love going down to the creek, cuz its so peaceful.. Can u make a video on the most deadliest animals in Minnisota?
This was very interesting to see considering i live in the US. Thanks for another awesome video Katrina. Can you do a video of legendary canines from around the world.
I'm early!!! (5th Comment and 23rd like 131th view ) I think the bear lake monsters are a type of dragon maybe? But it has a resemblance of a turtle but no shell
I have a theory about the black dog, the first owner was joyous, but fell off the cliff, the next owner felt sorrow after the death of her daughter and committed suicide, after that, the dog tumbled off the hill, so the dog wanted to warn about the death, but he got cursed after his owners' death so that's why the first sighting is joyous the next sorrow and the last death.
I'm definitely becoming a Skinwalker for the upcoming new year. I mean you can change into any animal or person. Very cool, plus I have a family member that the world can do without. Boy, this is working out nicely. Thanks, Katrina.
It's really interesting, they have the Jersey Devil tours at Basto Village located in Southern New Jersey. There's a lake near the abandon tracks, according to legends about 3 am at that lake you could hear the screams of the Jersey Devil. Due to the wreckage of Hurricane Sandy, the old house of the Leed family was demolished which was located in Pleasantville, near Atlantic City NJ. Legend also has it where the house use to stand, nothing grows.
Many people probably dont believe on stuff like this, but I can say for first hand that some are true. Crazy to think stuff like this could even exist. From what my mom has told me she heard la llorona when I was a kid. We use to live in mexico in a neighborhood were it was mostly family and close friends. I guess one night after we went to sleep, the dogs and cats started crying and trying to get inside the house. The animals scratch the door and wimper, as my mom could hear a woman crying far into the distance. She woke up my dad and he told her it was probably that a neighbor had hit his wife or something(because he was known for doing it). The next morning I guess my mom and aunts went to see if the lady had been hit. Well she was fine and nothing had happen to her, but they all heard the crying and they dogs trying to get inside their house. According to a uncle that has delved into some crazy stuff, like voodoo and curses. It was her, that the whole "hay mis hijos" its bs, she just cries. But when she sounds far away she is close by. That's why the animals were scared, and it's a restless spirit that shouldn't that one shouldn't be trying to see. Sounds insane but my hole family has crazy stories of seeing or hearing things they regret.
That picture you showed saying it's creed Taylor or Reed Taylor at 9:04 is actually a trapper from the 1800's named Baumann. His tale he told to Teddy Roosevelt was published in in collection of stories I believe is titled "The wilderness hunter".
Interesting. I like how you chose mostly obscure ones. A few more to consider in a future list would be the char man, Dr Benton, and the melonheads (the Connecticut melonheads are my favorite version as they stole a car).
In scouts we went camping at Bear Lake and our scout leader told us the story and it scared us all so bad. Half of us wouldn't go swimming after hearing the legend.
on wikipedia is says the black dog of hanging hill 1st sight of it is joy 2nd time is a warning and 3rd time is a death omen, that is creepy,I love dogs alot, too bad there's no more info on him,but I guess you don't want to go to hanging hill too many times from the sounds of it,I've heard something similar though from my friend at high school about 10 years ago but I never found the story online so it I think his story must have been his friend's personal experience of something else
Worst shipwrecks? I mean the worst lost of life. So many top list youtubers do it bad. With titanic first when more people have died in a ship than titanic. Or a video in the actual biggest ships to sink. The size if the ships regardless of the loss of life.
The skinwalker canyon is one place you never want to be alone especially without a shaman from one of the native towns nearby. Skinwalker are no joke and will stalk anyone they find until they get their hands on them.
No the ghost witch takes children thinking they are her own. And women can ask her to keep their men safe. If u hear her crying close your blinds and say away from the Windows.
the black dog story sounds similar to one the legends of the Hound of Ulster, the version also known as a Barghest which i believe translates into black dog. One Legend is of a man who traveled to scotland and ran into the hound late one night. The Hound traveled along with him at a distance and kept him safe. The man after going home found good luck after that, Some years later he returned to scotland and while traveling at night once more, ran into the hound again. As before the hound followed him, keeping it's distance and protecting him, However after that trip the man began to experience horrible luck, some of which was a divorce with his wife, the death of one of his children and his business suffering. Some time later he returned to Scotland again to try to salvage some of his business, traveling along the road he ran into the dog once again. That night a nearby home reported hearing a hollow, mournful howl echo throughout the country side, and when the sun came up the mans body was found dead on the road side.

I laughed out loud at the llorona saying "Ay, mis hijos!" 😂 We Hispanics are always saying "Ay!" for everything, even as ghosts apparently.
