The book of Thomas contains a quote from Jesus that says, " The kingdom of heaven is within you and all around you. It is not in buildings made of wood and stone. Split a piece of wood and you will find me. Lift a stone and I am there." The reason the Catholic Church took this out is because it denounced churches and said that you don't have to go to church to find the kingdom of heaven; it's already in you .
And yet to be a true Christian you should go to Church do all your church duties and don't be lazy. Once the split happened, they tried to play it big but they are so corrupted, they will convince their own that they are the true church, Really that is why their churches are closed and Orthodox fights to keep their people in their faith. It was actually Luther who first removed the Apocrypha from the OT he originally also removed 7 NT books including James and Revelation as they were too Catholic for him. He was forced to put the NT books back in by his fellow Protestants. Because the format we have today either the Protestant 66 or Catholic 73 book Canon is a modern rendition, there are books that were included in the list on the video which are incorporated into the books accepted by the Catholic Church rather than stand-alone separate books, survive today with the first part written in Hebrew, with the final chapters in Aramaic So even though they were deleted by Protestants after they had included them for a couple centuries in a separate section, some complete books were broken down by poor scholarship into different books.
modern scholars agree that the New Testament was written in Koine Greek. There may have been an Aramaic source for some of it but we have nothing written in Aramaic. The Nag Hamadi Gnostic Gospels found in 1947 were written in Coptic. I’ve been studying this for over 50 years and have never heard of a Hebrew or Aramaic New Testament book. I would be fascinated to read your sources.

Just try studying four things: The background to all Scripture (Jewish tradition and theology), Early Christianity (The Church Fathers) and the History of numerous Catholic Saints and you'll see the truth. There is nothing new under the Sun. There have been bad popes and will still be but the basis of the Catholic Church is not the holiness of the pope but the rightness of her doctrines which beat her witness of Christ. Enoch is a missing book and it contains a whole lotta secrets. It's concerning that you not only left the book out, but made a point to say there is nothing out of the ordinary in the missing books....which is COMPLETELY untrue.
Enoch was never part of the Apocrypha, but more than that, none of these books, including the ones they mention, were actually removed from the Bible. There are references to Enoch in the New Testament so NT scholars have looked at the book for years. None of this is secret or hidden. Check out the RUclips channel or website of Dr. Michael S. The Book of Enoch directly contradicts the creation theory and the timeline of human history. It's not a secret now, but it was 1000 years ago. I mean, to start with it literally *does* happen all the time. Even the Quran, which Muslims will have you believe is perfectly preserved, is only the version it is today because Uthman had every other copy that differed from his favorite copy *burned.* And even *that* copy has gone through multiple revision and changes. The copy Muslims use today has only been in circulation since the 1900s. What the narrator misses, and what most people done understand, is that Christians don't believe that anything removed from the Bible isn't *true.* Peter wrote many different things, even the notion of the Petrine cross is from Peter's *extra-Biblical* writings. What the Bible is focused on is God's *message* of Jesus Christ, not every single ancillary thing.

When the video starts out with verifiably wrong info about the Catholic bible, it doesn't lend a lot of credibility to the rest of the video lol. You can literally open a Catholic bible today and see that many of the books mentioned here are in fact still there. It was Martin Luther who removed books from the Bible he didn't like because they weren't written in Hebrew, and also maybe because it was more in line with his version of Christianity.

The Catholic Church did not remove these books. They are included in the Catholic and Orthodox scriptures and were in the 1611 King James Bible. These books were removed during the Protestant Reformation because these books were not included in the Hebrew Scriptures. They were included in the Greek Old Testament which is known as the Septuagint (LXX).

The KJV writers took their version the Old Testament directly from the Jewish books. When the Jews decided to determine what was official cannon and what wasn't, one of the criteria was that the books had to be written originally in Hebrew. Those books like Maccabees and Tobit were originally written in Greek. The Jews still consider them to be holy books. In his letters Paul quoted from some of the books that are considered the apocrypha.

The current Catholic Bible currently has 73 books in it. Tobit, Wisdom, 1 and 2 Macabees, and the others mentioned are still in the Catholic Bible. Our Mass readings at times come from these books. It was the Protestant churches that removed the Apocrypha, not the Catholic church. You need to get your facts straight!

Yes in the first minute of this video, I knew it was ridiculous crud. A century after the reformation began King James chartered the AV (authorized version) published in 1611. It had three sections Old Testament, Apocrypha, New Testament. The KJV most people know today (thinking it original) is an Oxford revision in 1769 that updated the English and removed the Apocrypha section completely leaving 39. The Jewish Masoretic Holy Scripture (Old Testament) has 40. The Catholic Douay-Rheems English Bible from 1608 has the Apocryphal books still mixed in with the Old Testament 46 books. Eastern orthodox have more Ethiopian orthodox have more (including Enoch) Scholars in the 1600s era were starting to agree with the rabbis as to the Apocryphal books being less than scripture. Seeing them as more like as we know Dante, Milton or Ben Hur to be spin off dramatic literature. Some differences in count are also how some editions combine or split up books in modern chaptering. Remember they were originally scrolls with no chapters or verse numbers. Then they presenter got into space aliens...so OK...sensationalist crud
And the deutrocanonical books were identified and debated in the Canon of Trent in 1546, so there is no mystery about how the Roman rite was debating these Apocryphal books a century before this presenter seems to start. The presenter also seems to be conflating 1st and 2nd cen Gnostic heresies with the simple intertestament Apocrypha discussions 1500 to 1800.
It is true even in the time of the 12apostles there is a corrupt apostle and you know him that's why I don't believe in apostolic succession....only the Bible is the guidance light of the church.. Actually, those books are still in Catholic Bibles, they aren't in Protestant Bibles. The Vatican has no say in which writings are considered canon in Protestant Bibles.
In 385 ad the Holy See decided which books to include into the bible and burnt lots they didn’t use, I guess some early writing are secreted in their archives. They kept it in Latin to make it inaccessible for centuries so they could keep their structure of control through fear of damnation etc

Yes atrocities have happened during the encient years and the Church (through different leaderships has erred) particularly in South America. People should consider that the Church has apologised for those atrocities...Pope John Paul 11 actually went to the Continent and in that visitation he apologised... There are a lot of good things that has been done by the Church around the world but those are never mentioned in the various narrations which I have followed here. Anyway we Catholics will listen to the negative comments but still continue to do the good work that our Church teaches us to do. The explanation as to why is because those 14 books are not included in the Jewish Bible. The Bible also was not translated from Latin into English in 1611. You're thinking of the King James Bible which was translated from Greek and Hebrew in 1611. Jesus was never pronounced Eye-eesus. Archaic English spelling had interchangeable J's and I's so his name was spelled as Iesus, but the pronunciation was the same.

I’m 2 minutes in and already it’s incorrect. Martin Luther removed several books from the bible. Protestants don’t have Maccabees, for example, because it mentions something related to indulgences. Any book that might contain information on purgatory were also removed. Anything Luther didn’t like, he removed.

The book of Thomas contains a quote from Jesus that says, " The kingdom of heaven is within you and all around you. It is not in buildings made of wood and stone. Split a piece of wood and you will find me. Lift a stone and I am there." The reason the Catholic Church took this out is because it denounced churches and said that you don't have to go to church to find the kingdom of heaven; it's already in you .
And yet to be a true Christian you should go to Church do all your church duties and don't be lazy. It was actually Luther who first removed the Apocrypha from the OT he originally also removed 7 NT books including James and Revelation as they were too Catholic for him. He was forced to put the NT books back in by his fellow Protestants. Because the format we have today either the Protestant 66 or Catholic 73 book Canon is a modern rendition, there are books that were included in the list on the video which are incorporated into the books accepted by the Catholic Church rather than stand-alone separate books, survive today with the first part written in Hebrew, with the final chapters in Aramaic So even though they were deleted by Protestants after they had included them for a couple centuries in a separate section, some complete books were broken down by poor scholarship into different books.
modern scholars agree that the New Testament was written in Koine Greek. There may have been an Aramaic source for some of it but we have nothing written in Aramaic. The Nag Hamadi Gnostic Gospels found in 1947 were written in Coptic. I’ve been studying this for over 50 years and have never heard of a Hebrew or Aramaic New Testament book. I would be fascinated to read your sources.

All I know is that the Catholic Bible has Seven Books that are not included in the King James Version of the Holy Bible. The King James Version is very popular with Sectoral Churches that have blossomed all over the world...many having sprung from the USA. Just try studying four things: The background to all Scripture (Jewish tradition and theology), Early Christianity (The Church Fathers) and the History of numerous Catholic Saints and you'll see the truth. There have been bad popes and will still be but the basis of the Catholic Church is not the holiness of the pope but the rightness of her doctrines which beat her witness of Christ. Enoch was never part of the Apocrypha, but more than that, none of these books, including the ones they mention, were actually removed from the Bible.
There are references to Enoch in the New Testament so NT scholars have looked at the book for years. None of this is secret or hidden.

When the video starts out with verifiably wrong info about the Catholic bible, it doesn't lend a lot of credibility to the rest of the video lol. You can literally open a Catholic bible today and see that many of the books mentioned here are in fact still there. It was Martin Luther who removed books from the Bible he didn't like because they weren't written in Hebrew, and also maybe because it was more in line with his version of Christianity.
The Catholic church HAS, however, held councils at which it was decided which books to keep and which to reject.

The KJV writers took their version the Old Testament directly from the Jewish books. When the Jews decided to determine what was official cannon and what wasn't, one of the criteria was that the books had to be written originally in Hebrew. Those books like Maccabees and Tobit were originally written in Greek. The Jews still consider them to be holy books.

Yes in the first minute of this video, I knew it was ridiculous crud. A century after the reformation began King James chartered the AV (authorized version) published in 1611. It had three sections Old Testament, Apocrypha, New Testament. The KJV most people know today (thinking it original) is an Oxford revision in 1769 that updated the English and removed the Apocrypha section completely leaving 39.
The Jewish Masoretic Holy Scripture (Old Testament) has 40.
The Catholic Douay-Rheems English Bible from 1608 has the Apocryphal books still mixed in with the Old Testament 46 books.

Actually, those books are still in Catholic Bibles, they aren't in Protestant Bibles. The Vatican has no say in which writings are considered canon in Protestant Bibles.
In 385 ad the Holy See decided which books to include into the bible and burnt lots they didn’t use, I guess some early writing are secreted in their archives. They kept it in Latin to make it inaccessible for centuries so they could keep their structure of control through fear of damnation etc

Thank you so much for your comments. People don't appreciate what the Catholic Church has done for historical restoration and information over the years. Yes atrocities have happened during the encient years and the Church (through different leaderships has erred) particularly in South America. People should consider that the Church has apologised for those atrocities...Pope John Paul 11 actually went to the Continent and in that visitation he apologised...
There are a lot of good things that has been done by the Church around the world but those are never mentioned in the various narrations which I have followed here.

I don't about anyone else but I think Hollywood is a huge opportunity for a great movie with the dead pope on trial thing. I mean the whole story is insane and everyone involved had to be nuts but it would a great movie. The Bible also was not translated from Latin into English in 1611. You're thinking of the King James Bible which was translated from Greek and Hebrew in 1611.
Jesus was never pronounced Eye-eesus. Archaic English spelling had interchangeable J's and I's so his name was spelled as Iesus, but the pronunciation was the same.

I’m 2 minutes in and already it’s incorrect. Martin Luther removed several books from the bible. Protestants don’t have Maccabees, for example, because it mentions something related to indulgences. Any book that might contain information on purgatory were also removed. Anything Luther didn’t like, he removed.
It makes me think a narrator with a smart sounding accent can give factually wrong information, urban legends, and conspiracy theories an air of legitimacy.
Yet there is nothing as Purgatory. Bible clearly says " After death, judgement ". No repentance after death.

I'm almost two minutes in and this video is already wrong. The Catholic Bible has 73 books, not 66. Tobit, Judith, Baruch, Wisdom, Sirach, and the two Maccabees are still there.
