    Beautiful setup you have. I'm in the process of building my own and have to decide where in my shop I want to set it up. My options are in a corner like yours up against a wall or have it in the middle of the room with all three edges clear. I'd prefer the corner just to save on floorspace but am concerned I'll regret it. If you had the choice/floorspace would you still put it against the wall again? Going with the 4:3 aspect ratio and a 9' x 12' minimum screen size so I don't want to screw this up! Thanks

    • @PixelGolf
      @PixelGolf  Год назад

      It really depends if you’ll plan to have lefty golfers, if it’s just right handed players, save the floor space I would say. Being in the middle of the room sounds like a cool idea though and you’ll be able to run it with side nets on both sides if you’re worried about shanks.

      @Peter Jurenovskis HI Peter, where are you from in Canada? I have not ordered any yet. I currently use the optishot 2 with the jagman joe top. I have pre-ordered the Rapsodo mlm 2 pro, so I will be pulling out the optishot and inserting a new hitting strip. I've done a lot of research, and I think the best option is to make or purchase the Carl's golf. I've watched Golf RnD's video on making your own, and that looks like the best way to make your own. I'll keep you posted on what I decide.

Par2Pro has the CCE for sale, but many reports say that it’s still too firm for striking. Does anyone know what type of foam padding (and where i can get it) is under the turf? What density etc.? Let me know about the new Rapsodo.

I have been using the player preferred from fiberbuilt and it just wears out too quickly imo I have hit about 10k shots on it already turned it around and wore out the other side as well so I think I may try to cut something into the actual mat and retro fit it. I purchased aa new center piece yesterday just to make it less of an issue to try some new things out with the old one. Again thank you for sharing.

      I have taken to the range with friends a couple time, but we mainly used it to see who hit the longest drive, it was not me😂 I definitely should do this though. I was obsessed with the Mevo+, but once I got the GC2 the ease of setup and ability to chip accurately swayed me more towards the camera based system. • @PixelGolf

      Spotlights are more for camera based launch monitors that read the hall in the first foot or so. With Doppler Radar measuring like Mevo+ it uses as much ball flight as possible, so it would be better to have even light in the room rather than a spotlight.

      Someone else commented that, never even thought to do that, but definitely will! I can tell when my friends that are low handicap or scratch golfers, that they seem to launch their 7 iron 16-18 degrees and their impact point on the screen is noticeably lower than mine… But, I’m going to take it to the range and try it out!

    Dang I was just a little to late to the party. I was looking into Mats because I just got High School golf back at my old school and the head coach. I want to build an area for my players to practice when we can’t go to course. A nice simulation set up. My main obstacle will be the surface they hit off of if I was to put net and stuff in Agility Room and make a mini platform with hitting strip

    What made you upgrade from the mevo

    • @PixelGolf
      @PixelGolf  Год назад

      Ease of use and I putt and chip a lot when dealing with back issues and want to hit balls still. The camera based systems never really miss a beat on the soft swings. I also would get frustrated when people came over to play and it would misread putts or miss chips. I ended up having to just switch it to auto putt mode and add mulligans for chips that read way off. Although, I haven’t had a Mevo for almost a year now, I’m sure a lot has changed.

      Oh cool. I must have missed one of the videos. So are you running 4:3 or 16:9?

    • @PixelGolf
      @PixelGolf  Год назад +1

      4:3. Technically 1402x1080. I mounted the projector until it filled the height of my screen and the used the Nvidia graphics card to make a custom size that filled the space exactly, which was 1402.
