  • A quick “classic DIRESTA style” video sowing how you can make a DIY simple and lightweight laptop lap table or lap desk
    Materials required:
-Large pieces of sponge (this can be bought or salvaged from a couch cushion).
    -thin plywood
    -cardboard
    -fabric to cover the sponge
    -hot glue
    TOOLS:
    -jigsaw
    -bandsaw
    -marker
    -scissors
    -hot glue gun
At the beginning I cut 2 pieces of wood sandwiched together, this is because I was making 2 of these tablets.
Please be careful when using power tools, although it may not look like it all saws were OFF and the blades hat stopped moving BEFORE My hands when anywhere near them.
The song is “amazement by freedom trail studio” from ruclips.net/user/audiol...
    happy making

I read a whole page on upholstery, then instead, I learned everything I need for my project by watching this. Thank you!

Thank you sir, yes my legs are appreciative of not being cooked by my laptop the seems to run at two times the temperature of the sun. 😂

I watch HP videos to discover new, hip music artists.

Haha thanks Venger, funny story behind the music in this video. The song I originally edited the video to got a copyright strike so I had to use RUclips to replace the song with one from the RUclips royalty-free archive. A lot of them are kinda shit or over used but after a lot of searching I think I found a good one. 😉. The song is “amazement by freedom trail studio” if you go to ruclips.net/user/audiolibrarymusic you can search for it there and download it for free 😁👌

Be safe. It needs a snack/ pencil tray

That’s a great idea, I’ll definitely have to incorporate a snack/pencil holder in version 2. Yes, I always try to be as safe as I can, it looks bad in this video dude to it being sped up but the saw was off and the blade had stopped moving before my hands went anywhere near.

Hey what wood are you using?

    • @HeyPatch

I used some super thin plywood. (6mm or 1/4 inch) nothing fancy, but it did have a nice veneer. The main reason I used it was that I already had it leftover from another project. You can use pretty much any thing you have, just keep it light.
