    Hey everyone! Thanks for all the additional tips for tonebuilding with the plugin! I think I wasn't quite clear what I meant with "journey" back to the 80s and 90s. I didn't want to replicate any specifics tones from these eras but rather create something "retro inspired" by these times, which I think is best represented in the intro song, that is supposed to be a PERSONAL INTERPRETATION of what used to be. These tones were created with the purpose of being put into a song and a mix context, which is why they might sound a bit odd on their own. Keep riffing♥️

    For a tight sound: volume, treble and mid all high. Bass and drive as low as possible. Shape the sound with the 5 band eq.

    Milian. Your review of the Mark IIC+ was the first one that came into my feed and the first one I watched. And immediately it got me hooked. Really great review and coverage. But what was even greater and really set this review off for me was: 1. The intro song: immensely refreshing with unique style, songwriting and the production really made it shine. Also, the song blends beautifully with the era and highlights a few, of very many, elements of the essence of the amp, which by its turn let its versatility be shown, 2. The pickups: I just can’t get enough of them (immediately recalled their super nice and special rich sound texture from your older videos). Really enjoyed this. Props to you my man :)

    The Mark 2C+, and the cascaded gainstages, plus the brightness and attack of those amplifiers changed what was capable in aggressive guitar. But the real magic was the plethora of tones available in one amplifier. Incredible.

      There’s a reason why bass exists. He’s making the tone based on studio use. He’s said this before in older videos

    I can understand why some of you in the comments don't like this plug in, these amps are a bit difficult to dial in. They are even tricky in the Fractal units too, but if you keep the bass and mids low and add the "V" eq shape and add an overdrive to tighten it you can get a really nice tight rhythm tone.

    Bass : Runter auf 0 ! Sonst matscht es wie im Video.
    Mid : 10 Uhr.
    Der 5 Band EQ ganz rechts ist der Haupt EQ. Hier kannst du Bass wieder reinknallen. Der Rest erklärt sich dann selbst. Bei den Mark Amps wird ist das alles etwas anders . Ich besitze selbst einen Mark V und ich kann ich genauso muddy klingen lassen wenn ich ihn einstelle wie einen „normalen“ Amp.

    • @Rouwiinator
      @Rouwiinator Год назад

      Stimmt. Ich glaube das die erste eq sektion von dem Amp noch vor der gain stage sitzt und somit nicht an der gleichen stelle vom Signal sitzt wie bei anderen Amps. Ich glaube man kann sich das ganze so ähnlich wie ein "eq pedal" vor dem Amp vorstellen.

    Looks like you don't know how to set a Mesa Mark series amp. The tone stack is pre gain so you have to cut bass and mid drastically before the graphic eq. Try bass at 0-1, mids at 3-5, treble at 8, then a v-shape for the graphic eq. This is how you get a good tone from Mark series amp, and it's well known. Should have done your research.

      It's called Nonviolent Communication and it's a well known concept to formulate criticism in a way that doesn't feel downgrading for the other and therefore has the best chance to succeed. You should have researched it before commenting.
