INXS Interview April 18, 1986

Mark Porada interviews Michael Hutchence and Tim Farriss of INXS on April 18th 1986 at the FOX Theater in Detroit Michigan. We had dinner together, did the interview and then they went on. I stood 10 feet away stage left behind the curtain with my mouth open. They were electric! Time to time I would peek around the curtain to see thousands of screaming jumping fans in the theater. I was 18 then, I am 49 now and I can still see it in my mind. Michael and Tim were class acts and quintessential Pros.

We ate dinner with them that night, backstage at the FOX theater. They were really down to earth, just nice guys.

Very cool footage before the band conquered the world with Kick, you're so lucky to have have met them, Listen Like Thieves was my childhood, so many great songs on that album, Michael's voice still amazes me, INXS is one of the best bands ever

Wow, thanks for digging this out! I saw them in Ann Arbor on the second night of the Kick tour (September 1987), can remember it like it was yesterday. Thanks for uploading all the Back Porch Video clips as well, having fun popping around.

At 18, how were you able to interview them-college radio station maybe? I saw them in March '83 opening for Adam Ant at Illinois State, Normal, IL. Yes, I wondered who "Inks" were, lol. I was blown away. Everyone was blown away. Shabooh Shoobah sold out promptly.
