You're exactly right. They're not paying enough for multiple orders. And 3 to 8 stops would mean possibly colder food toward the later stops if traffic is bad and distance between stops, despite a hot/cold bag.
I’m on day 3 of trying Uber eats… I made the mistake of accepting 3 orders at one time. It ended up being worth it but it caused a delay for the first order I had gotten. Ended up getting a $23 tip from the order that caused the delay. And all 3 deliveries were within 2 miles of each other. 2 were pick up at the same place. So I guess it worked out.
Hi this is a New trick Uber uses with the Uber x also they Will show $8.00 and as soon as you sign on the surge goes down to $3 or $2 when they do that I sign off again, actually their games are getting too old and I'm tired of the games and looking for a different route to make money.
Hey Bro I never see the pay amount on the different areas they way you see it on your phone. Can you tell me why? I literally have to wait until I get an alert and then the price pops up on the screen. Thanks
Here in Los Angeles I get "bonus baited" by Uber, they'll show a certain surge amount and then when I get there and turn it on right under the surge it goes down to less than half!
I live in Chicago and have a full-time night job. For the past 5 months I was able to collect high surges on my food deliveries and now for the last 4 days no surges are being added to food orders now. I have not accepted anything. I would make an extra 50 to 80 per day off of like 4 orders in the morning but now Uber has screwed over Illinois Uber eats drivers so I guess I'm officially done with the Uber app because for me it's all about the surges since I live in a hot area but Uber doesn't like me getting all the surges on every order. Now I'm only getting 5 dollar orders NOT HAPPENING please if you're an Illinois Uber eats driver in Chicago where there are surges stop driving for a while. I know Im not the only one doing this but this will be the only way Uber brings surges back to food deliveries
Your 100% correct. By me I get a lot of orders for the Apple Store ( I have never taken) usually 2 orders 13-14 dollars for 15-16 miles, the miles are always and pay doesn’t make sense to go to Apple store at a mall.
The only multi-stops we get in Cocoa Beach area are for Walmart deliveries. They have offers in our "Opportunity" section of the driver app. (Sometimes they'll send them out while I'm driving). They are always $25 for 10 stops. It's usually 1 - 2.5 hours to deliver. Which is always longer actually because of tourist traffic throughout our county. Which is basically $2.50 a delivery. I refuse to do them. The most restaurant deliveries I get at a time here is 2. They never send us more than that. Fortunately for me, I grew up here. I know most of the streets in all the cities in the Cocoa Beach, Merritt Island, Cocoa areas. So that helps me know if any delivery is worth the miles, time and tourist traffic I have to fight around here. I also won't take an offer from someone I know won't tip. I recognize their order/area it's going. After a couple deliveries to some of these people you learn Ricky Tick who those people are!
Mike: I have screen capture evidence of this habit of Uber Doing this. Example: I am literally standing in a 7.50 surge, I turn it on and suddenly there is a large space between me and any other surge zone. Or the surge zone drops from 7.50 down to 1.25

Uhh, isn’t the surge for Uber rides only? I see hot zones all day and night on Uber, yet I’ll be sitting in an area that says +$5 on your next trip, and then I get an offer for $4-6 so I know it’s not on there. I’ve also never once seen “surge pay” on my earnings page or the breakdown of the trips. I’m almost 100% positive it’s only for driving passengers. That’s why so many surge zones in my area are places that have no restaurants. And it also says “+$5 on your next TRIP” and Uber refers to trips as passenger rides and deliveries are food.
Can definitely do well with out surge. Also in pittsburgh have been doing this for 6 months multi Apping and hit 200 in 5 hours yesterday just running GH and Uber with no surge. Just have to cherry pick properly

I prefer just the original 2 order stack or the "on route"+$ offer.I stay clear of the 3,4,5 stack deliveries etc especially in a surge area.I can hold out for the larger single order $ offers
