Everyone’s tastes are different and I’m glad you enjoy them despite the heavy salt content and you did have different meals than myself so that’s also another factor. The butter chicken for me was wonderful so they are capable of a nice meal but the others were certainly hard to palate. Appreciate the comment and I’m glad you’ve managed to find some flavour in their range!

I also had mainly good expereince though I prefer vegetarian and fish dishes and the choice of those is very limited. Plus there is rice most of the time, and I am don't a fan. I am however sticking up with them for a moment, maybe will order once twice a month and just freeze

I'm on my first week of Simmer. It's ideal for me as I don't have a lot of time to cook and I end up getting too many takeaways. So I actually save money and my calorie intake is a lot lower.
The salt content does seem high on some meals but overall its decent and fills a hole. A couple of the dishes I have been impressed with the flavour and some are just okay, it is a mixed bag.
I would recommend it if you're lazy or don't have a lot of time to cook and simply looking to lower your calorie intake. Don't get it if you're fussy or hard to impress

I eat just about anything and everything but found this service to be very poor in terms of meal quality with many microwave meals out performing it in terms of flavour and portion size.
Theres many meal prep services out there more affordable and improved Vs Simmer but I really did have some bad meals but I imagine they’re not all terrible, Butter Chicken was great 🤤 they need more like that

All meals use free range eggs and higher welfare meat, also M&S was not implicated in the recent Salad ecoli or the horse meat scandal because they are obsessive about their food traceability. I had the same experience as you with Simmer. Got sold by their marketing and their food looked good but it was incredibly salty and the flavour was horrid on most meals. The absolute worst for me was that Korean Mac n cheese and the burrito! My god 🤢. However the butter chicken was their best but it tasted more like a tikka masala than butter chicken. So 2 orders in. I wish I saw this video sooner. To keep it short, they’re very good on marketing and roping the customer in. However the end product is nothing more than airplane food. Every meal is LACED with salt. Protein figures are a lie. States 60g of protein but usually 3-4 pieces of small chicken. Which probably doesn’t even add up to 25 grams of protein.
Variety is extremely poor too, 95% of the meals have basmati rice as the carbs, have they never heard of sweet potatoes, mash, wedges, avocado?
Lastly there is no such thing as a one off order, you are subscribed into their system once you make one order. They hold your card details without telling you. And send an email the week after stating they’ve made an order for you. Without even asking you. You need to contact them and tell them to cancel.
I wasted £90 on this. But they won’t be having me as a long term customer. Their marketing is that simmer eats can replace your everyday cooking. - unless you want heart problems and blood pressure through the roof. I’d advise not to.
