It's always fun when games make you physically build something. Also, love the "Woooo" when you're rolling meeples.
At 4:32 there is an obsolete "Forgot to mark that building plan with a marker of his color" in the Klingon subtitle.
I noticed that you were tossing the dice with some force, perhaps for dramatic effect. But since meeples don’t tumble like dice, wouldn’t you have better rolls if you used a “shake and drop” method instead of “shake and throw”? A lot less chance of an exuberant ricochet knocking over a standing meeple. Just curious if you had experiemented.
perhaps more finesse is needed :)
Yeah, the central mechanism seems slightly woolly in that regard. Some players will shake n' throw whereas others will very delicately tumble. I feel like the game needs a meeple tumble tower for a more even spread!
Love watching that lucking pushing going south!
Thanks for the solo runthru!
46:30 I thought they would go adjacent to their already built building, like they did in neighborhood 3 at 37:14.
I've only watched the first fifteen minutes, but so far it happend twice that you didn't have much of a choice and you had to build something in a way that would negatively effect you. I didn't like that. I like the theme and the mechanisms though. It seems like it's something I would enjoy. And it's cool that there's actually some interaction. You don't see that a lot anymore in board games.
46:30 - the Mayor’s office should’ve been placed adjacent to the building the Mayor already had in zone 5. This is important, because he gave 4 points to the Mayor for no reason.
Note added... thanks
They look like plastic meeples, @rahdo. How do they feel, light and insubstantial or chunky?
the prototype meeples are plastic but i have no idea what the real game will be like, so i'd be a bit hesitant to comment...
@@rahdo Thanks for the quick reply (heck, for any reply). I really didn't think that through, you are completely right. I love some of your run-throughs more than others, and I can't work out why, but I love that you bother to cover my kind of friendly games... Keep on, keeping on...
52:21 - couldn't he use that left over labour brick on Sweet Nan's Bakery on area 4?
yes he could
And Roleplayer of the year goes to the Politician meeple. I couldn't tell him from a real politician 23
