I’ve listened to both Rose’s and hers, I have nothing against Rose’s version, I like it a lot, but to give my own personal opinion Rose’s version shows a young girl breaking up with her significant other while this version shows a woman who has broken up with her significant other. She has more experience with relationships, but the pain from a break up always feels the same at the end: heartbreak and pain. You can very much hear it in their voices the “first love” and “this isn’t my first breakup, but the pain remains”. Enjoy your favorite versions and don’t argue. To each it’s own. These are the same exact songs, sung by different singers showing their emotions.

Rose's version is unique because of her voice and the emotion of a young broken heart women, this version is more technical, the way she sing shows that she is more mature, more experienced, that's the difference. People compare the two versions because they are both sung by female artists, in one show, so it's the normal thing, i don't know why you guys have to argue which one is better, please just enjoy the version you like
