Most of the people racing are local, and our friends. Last thing we want is someone to die. It's dangerous, and all these buggies are built in the backyards of all the locals.
I had a computer game of swamp buggy racing. It might have been good. It's been 23 years so not sure. But i remember the cool box art. So many cool old games I've found most, playing them is another story. But at least i found most. Watching this is cool. Videos like this probably didn't exist on the internet back then in 2001 when i played that crazzy game.

I live in collier county. This is a few miles from me. You actually used to be able to ride all around near it. It's almost closed down a couple times, because homes are all around the buggy grounds(Florida Sports Park). It's super loud, and v6 motors are over 1000hp.
How the heck would the guy who is always on the outside of the turns ever win? By the end of the first turn you would have lost everything being equal.
Watching this again makes me miss my friends that used to do this in Naples fl... #turnerloose #ladybug. This is a very fun and expensive thing to do next to drag racing for sure

This is what I love most about racing: a woman participates, a woman WINS, and nobody makes a big deal about her being female. Its just normal. They don't ask for their own "league" they gladly compete against the males. Chess can't even take that lead.

I grew up in Naples. Going to the swamp buggy races and snook fishing is the only thing I miss about that obnoxiously wealthy town.
I'm surprised all that wealth can stand coexisting with all that type of racing.

I'm amazed at the construction of the tires. Those ribs are heavy on farm equipment. Seems as though they would tear the tires apart at speed.
