Funny thing. I was just going down the wrap dress rabbit hole and thinking there aren’t enough good wrap dress patterns. I was even thinking of possibly trying to come up with my own wrap dress pattern. I think you definitely have a point with the set in sleeves and possibly seaming so that it has some structure. It’s giving me ideas. 🤔

This is a very interesting, diverse collection and i like some of them very much. I own a manufactured wrap cardigan that looks knitted and i happen to just adore everything about it. I've thought about trying to knit another one. It has Bell lace sleeves, fisherman's rib top to the high waist, and i think garter on the lower half. The edges are one inch stockinette, the purl side. It's just wonderful over so many things! I have another that's bright striped, which limits its use, but it's very volumnus, and gets longer diagonally in front. So you can wrap it all the way around yourself and really feel cocooned. And it's a light knit too... Again, manufactured. But feminine and lovely 🌹

I noticed how nice you look with that wrap top you have on. This style is flattering on you! I like the Klint. It is somewhat structured with the set-in sleeves. It also looks slightly drapey... so it will fall nicely, too.

HI Taylor, I love you podcasts; I look forward to them each week. I know I'm always going to be entertained, probably learn something new, and always feel a bit of a kindred friendship with you while I watch. I have to say I don't really love the wrap vibe though - especially on my body type, which is sort of an apple shape - no natural waist line (anymore, thanks, babies). So now a wrap just looks like I'm putting a ribbon on my tummy - like I would have when I was pregnant and wanting to show off my baby bump. I'd love for you to prove me wrong though! (I am quite tall, so a cropped wrap that sometimes looks good on shorter and curvier bodies and tucks under/near the bra line would just again accentuate belly fat... not a look I'd wear.)

I am even picturing a wrap cardigan with two different shawl pattern front panels and a rectangular shawl back panel. You could go simple with one color or theme, or go crazy with color and texture. Talk about a rabbit hole... 😂
Also, I have a ton of sari wrap skirts and a wrap cardigan will be the perfect addition to them. Looks like I need about 6 to match all my skirts, lol.

Hi Taylor! About the Levitate wrap, the inside closure doesn't have a strap to attach it. I saw other people made it and the inside flap was just going out of the wrap because of this issue. I would suggest to add a strap to the inside flap too but that would mean to add also a hole on the side. Like that, the inside stripe could go over the top and one could tie it with the outside strap. I hope I am making sense here ! 😅

I've knitted 2 wrap front cardigans over the years and I find that I really never wear them. The Anaheim by Andy Satterlund is lace and fastens with buttons at the waist, but usually i just can't be bothered to button it and I dont love howitzer looks on me open. My other was the Dahlia from an Interweave Magazine and the back is beautiful, but the waist doesn't cinch in at all and I struggle to style that in a way I like - and I dont love it open. It always makes me feel like im giving Art Teacher vibes, which is not me lol.

I used to watch a British wardrobe styling channel. The podcaster pointed out the a deep V is very flattering for women with a larger bust, as it breaks up the front of the garment and makes one look les busty/stout (if that is what one is aiming for). No need to flaunt one’s cleavage…just layer the ballerina cardigan over a tank/camisole.

I don’t know if this is something you’ve shared but I would love to hear how you got into knitting garments and what the drive or passion was behind it. What emotions were you experiencing when you first started with garment knitting? I really want to get into knitting some sweaters or something but I’m still incredibly intimidated by it. I’m mostly intimidated because I am plus size and I know a sweater is going to take me so long. Do you have advice for starting a long project or just advice for this situation? Thankyou so much for reading this! I love watching your videos ♥️

I love the idea of a wrapped cardigan, but I’m 5’ 1/2” and the longer “smoking jacket-like” styles always make me look shorter. Maybe a waist-length pattern would be better for me. Right now, I’m learning to knit socks, but I could see a wrap cardigan in my future! 😊

This is an excellent point. The length is really the thing that could make any cardigan work or not work depending on your height. I know even for me (and technically I’m not short), longer cardigans can easily be too long.

Hilarious rabbit-holing (is that a word?). There's another by Florence Miller, Robinson Wrap Cardigan - she's another RUclipsr so has a vid on it. But thanks, added Songbird to my gazillions-long queue.

I found it! A wrap cardigan does not go well over a wrap dress!!!!😁😁😁
