Fun Fact. Stan Lee, yes THAT STAN LEE OF MARVEL COMICS (RIP), actually saw Sun Vulcan while on a trip in Japan and wanted to bring it to the states. Only problem was it was in Japanese and didn't want to dub over the footage like a cheesy Kung-Fu movie. The only reason we didn't get it was because they had no clue how to adapt it
You’re actually mixing up how Saban got Power Rangers to air. You see Marvel helped produced Battle Fever to Sun Vulcan after Toei made the Spider-Man series(Which inspired Battle Fever to use a giant robo). The rest of the story of how it was rejected was true.
@@krbchris26 I know that but in your original comment you stated that Stan Lee discovered Sun Vulcan during Vacation, that’s what’s untrue as Marvel was involved with the Sentai brand for a few years.
Context on Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, in case you don't know: When the series was made, a massive earthquake hit Japan, with a previous Super Sentai actor making a twitter page where he could provide encouragement to the children of Japan. It got popular with the other Super Sentai cast members. *Very* popular. It even brought in some influence from the west with, I believe, someone from the Time Force cast joining in. This lead to many, MANY more cameo roles being provided for Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, way more than originally planned (as it was meant to be an anniversary season), leading to the second half getting a massive boost in terms of cameos. This only helped to boost up the quality and is part of the reason why the show is considered so loved even to this day.
I am Japanese. I have great memories of Gokaiger. Gokaiger is a 10th anniversary work, and new works have been released, and in June, a realistic figure of a suit actor's body has been released.
Which time force cast member?!?!? 😱😱😱 possibly Eric? I can picture him plus I believe he’s done voice acting ( voices Vergil in the devil may cry game series)
The reason they are kneeling in front of Shinken Red is he is the head of the Clan and the 4 members are his retainers that exist to protect and serve the head of the Shiba Clan.
Avataro Sentai Don-Brothers is based on japanese Story The Story of the Son of a Peach the heroes are also based on actual characters Momotaro(Red), Oni(Yellow), Monkey(Blue), Dog(black), Crane(pink).
Go-Busters fact: the yellow ranger's actress: Arisa Kamiya went on to have a decent idol path after Sentai being casted in Love Live's 2nd generation: Sunshine. Go-Busters was like the big push for her career. The gold ranger of the team was a returning actor meanwhile, he had previously portrayed MagiYellow in MagiRanger. Funny enough, both of his roles either preceded or succeeded an anniversary season.
Ironic how the Yellow Rangers for Gokaiger and Go-Busters went on to become Voice Actress who would voice a character in a big idol franchise (M•A•O who played Luka Millfy from Gokaiger voices Fumika Sagisawa in Idolmaster Cinderella Girls for the last decade or so).
I didn't realized that Beetbuster was played by the same actor as Magiyellow! Another fact about him, that I didn't know about until today as well, is that he also acted as Hoshi Minato from Uchu Sentai Kyuranger.
@@xXlotusmoonXx he is, he played as Shun Kageyama who was Kamen Rider TheBee till they replaced him with another guy who later on become Kamen Rider PunchHopper and then Kageyama becomes KickHopper
Akibaranger is a parody inbetweener series, originally done back during the time they did Go-Busters. Super sentai and Kamen rider were in danger of being canceled. So they did this series in addition to Go-busters and it aired Sunday evenings. It's about these three anime nerds that wind up with the powers to Morph and having to do battle with this secret empire out to destroy all television. It's hilarious! And the villains are super funny. There's also an episode where they have to fight the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.
@@SBabyI’d say don’t since that’s heavily plot related, that was the first sentai series I ever watched and I was noooooot happy with the power rangers version
@@terogates1 Yeah, never watch the Power Rangers version. That version really butchered the concept. It feels like they didn't even do any research on how the characters should be acting if they're supposed to be Samurai. As for the bowing to the Red Samurai, without any spoilers, the reason they do it is because he is the Lord of the House, basically the most important person in the House, bar none. To the point where they will literally prioritize his safety and well-being over their own. They will take hits for him and even potentially die for him if need be. In fact, imagine Uranus and Neptune and how they are with protecting Usagi, and then magnify that a thousand-fold. That is how important he is. Dying to protect one's Lord is a great honor. To lose a Lord while in their service is a supreme dishonor, and something that in the age of the Samurai would never be tolerated by society.
@@SBaby Slight spoiler based on the “Lord & Retainer/Vassal” Relationship concept mentioned by the commentor named here: “This feeling of guilt, shame of the dishonour of letting one’s Lord died while in their service” was part of the reasons why KyouryuGold tried to distance himself from KyouryuRed, in the beginning. Because KyouryuRed looks exactly like KyouryuGold’s slain Lord.
A cool fact about Mashin Sentai Kiramager: their mentor is called Muryou Hakataminami, he is portraided by the comedian and singer Daimaou Kosaka a.k.a Pikotaro (the original singer from pen pinneapple apple pen) and in one of the episodes he actually sing the meme song
@@Talessaga2 no, he literally did a bit in the episode where Sena got split into multiple personalities. The movie was when he did the full version of PPAP
Boukenger's quirk is apparently the team is the reincarnation of past adventurers. "Boukenja" is also the Japanese word for adventurer as well. Goseiger's team is also members of three tribes of angels. The villains are pretty much fallen angels. Tensou means "invoke". But, the kanji for "tensou" in the show's title literally reads "Heaven's Armaments". Akibaranger is a parody entry that aired around the same time as Go-Busters and was intended to be a intended for older audience joke series. They even made two Power Rangers references in the series.
Trust me, Don't sleep on ToQGer; it's one of the best sentais in recent years; everyone clowned on it looked weird at the start, but as the story progressed, it was some top tier shit to enjoy.
The reason they bowing to the red ranger in shinkenger is because he’s an actual lord and they are his warriors but he treats them as equals and is really dope
Ohranger was planned to be one of the more "dark" and "serious" series in the franchise. But an attack on the Tokyo subway changes everything and the series becomes "lighter" and "calmer". The sixth member, who was supposed to be an adult military man from past eras all "angry" and "serious" in the style of "Conan the Barbarian" for example, was hastily replaced by a child, days before filming the premiere episode of sixth member. Including the subway attack is why the following series, Carranger is totally funny and jokes throughout. Toei's production wanted to make people "forget" everything bad, since attacks rarely happen in Japan. Ohranger was converted by the Americans into Power Rangers Zeo, until then the most powerful team in history and no one can explain why the Rangers changed Zeo's powers to Turbo.
35:25 - The framerate being like that is actually normal for the opening. The idea is that they're moving so fast that time itself can't keep up with them. Also Timeranger is where Power Rangers started adapting their storylines to be closer to the Japanese version. So Time Force's plot was far closer to Timeranger (though the sixth ranger survives in Time Force).
the thing is the Sentai doesnt take it self to seriously. and each season is new show with out worrying about connecting to others unless they want to do something like that.
The Kakurangers were transformed into the "Alien Rangers" by the Americans, their initial zords became the "Shogun Megazord" and the secondary ones became the "Ninja Megazord", having been brought by "Ninjor". Ninjor in the Japanese version is called "Ninjaman". He is a supporting hero and mentor to the team who appears halfway through the series. He had been sealed in a jar as punishment by the white bird for being a little "naughty". This white bird, which in the American version is Tommy's zord, in the Japanese version is an auxiliary zord, as Kakuranger does not have a sixth member.
Bioman is what made Haim Saban create Power Rangers. Even had plans to make an American version of Bioman. If it had gone through Power Rangers would have existed in the late 80's
For those who don't know, Kiramager has the PPAP guy (the guy with the scarf). They kept making reference to that and even straight up busted out the song in one of the movies
Akira Kushida is the vocals for most of the themes, the one mentioned to have sung the Ultra Instinct theme. He also sang a bunch of Super Sentai and Metal Heroes themes. Also, we definitely need you two to view the roll calls.
The story of zyuranger is about a village, a human people, who somehow (it's not explained very well how), lived in the age of dinosaurs. These people fought, alongside the dinosaurs, against a space witch called Bandora, also fighting with the witch's subordinates. The witch is defeated and sent into a prison, a kind of sealed "tube" to the Moon. However, before being defeated, she promises revenge against the planet and its inhabitants. A mystical elder of that time then becomes half-immortal and has the mission to protect the capsules where 5 people of that people would be hibernating for ages until the witch returned to attack the planet again. A group of astronauts then, being on the Moon, innocently find the "tube" where Bandora and her group were trapped and without knowing what that was, out of curiosity, they end up opening it freeing them from their prison. The old man then awakens the 5 sleeping young people to protect the planet.
The Gokaigers are DEFINETELY overpowered. Thats the reason they always reappear in modern movies for Sentai and have been very clearly made to be stronger than everybody else. Also, they can keep transforming into ranger teams that took place AFTER them, or that were in different timelines, etc. Basically they’re gonna be the strongest rangers forever 😂
it's quite amazing how super sentai can have an hour long concert tribute with all the op and ending songs from their roster alone. meanwhile PR will only last 20+ minutes
Toqger (train theme) and Donbrothers (weird cgi member) was the most wacky but the story was very interesting with the plot twist and kinda dark in some ways.
One of of rule when watching Tokusatsu is "Never look down on their suit. Jusy because it look goofy, that dont mean they have bad story to tell" ToQger and Kamen Rider Gaim is one of those example
@@WeAINTseenITREACTIONS yes..even in the show almost every episode felt like a random thing but somehow you enjoy watching it..compared with other season, sometime those random episode or filler we felt cringe, but not Donbrothers.. it was slice of life drama..even Im shocked after watching Donbros because my 1st impression was it will be a bad season with those "bad" CGI 😂
To answer if the original Rangers ever come back for specials, Naoya Makoto, the actor for Tsuyoshi Kaijo aka Akaranger, the very first Red Ranger, actually comes back during big anniversaries, his most recent appearance was in 2021 for the 45th anniversary of Super Sentai.
you guys mentioning Mystic Knights, Final Fight, Bloody Roar, thats my childhood. Its nice to know you've seen Mystic Knights especially, loved that on Fox Kids, that whole block was amazing, Young Hercules, Power Rangers, X-Men, Spiderman , Beetleborgs, etc etc
Trivias/Notes about Bioman: Bioman became so famous in France, that the next Sentai series to be shown in the country (Liveman), had its name changed to Bioman 2. Even today Bioman Stay famous in france and in early 2000, a small groups of fans created your own Sentai parody series called France Five Which even had the feat of having, in its second season, the opening theme written by a Japanese composer and sung by Akira Kushida, the same singer from a bunch of Sentai series. Another Trivia is that Bioman was the first series to be thought of by Haim Saban as Power Rangers (Galaxy Rangers at the time), but he was unsuccessful in starting his project. Haim, even tried to even bring the original Bioman to the United States, but the televisions said that the public would not accept it, because they wanted national heroes and not from abroad, even more Japanese, since they did not do half a century, that there was World War II and the attack on Pearl Harbor.
The zords and the White ranger from Dairanger was used in MMPR season 2. Initially, Haim had intentions of changing the main 5 uniforms as well, but he was afraid the public would not accept it, or get confused, or something like that and decided to keep the same uniform as the previous series (which made it even more confusing). There is even a "series" called Zyu 2, which was basically new footage with the Zyuranger uniform. All original footage used exclusively and commissioned by Haim Saban and Saban Entertainment. The change from the green ranger to the white one is because in the original series (Zyuranger), the green ranger dies and filming ends. Nowadays, the Power Rangers franchise has between 70 to 90% of its scenes totally original, recorded by the Power Rangers team itself and the Super Sentai only serves to have the costumes, equipment, zords and visuals of villains. Very few scenes are used from the original Japanese material, which was not the case at the time of MMPR.
2:10 - Honestly, one of the best ones to watch is the one right before Zyuranger (the series that was adapted into Power Rangers). Jetman is far more adult targeted than previous Super Sentai series', and it is considered to this day to be one of the best out there.
Hell yeah. The story was written so well. Inoe was such a great toku writer back then. I love Kamen Rider Agito and 555, which were written by him too. idk what happened but his writing went downhill post KR 555...
I actually love super sentai, and seeing people reacting it just gave me a smile 😊. And the fact that the video also add the sentai battle(which is about where every ranger from each sentai battle to find out who is the best) and also the Korean version of kyoryuger(which is said canon i think),props to him. And also for the donbrothers, there is actually a newer version, but i think he haven't seen it,but it's alright. Anyway,i love it,and i hope that you guys would react to their Morphers too. ❤️
That one with the gorilla and the cgi rangers, Donbrothers may look insane...and it is but it's also one of the best written Sentai in years lol. I can't even explain it, but if you two ever decide to check Sentai out I'd recommend it for sure...but only after you've watched some previous series first.
Great reaction you two! Plus, You have a new subscriber now. Been watching ya'lls videos for a little bit and I dig you two's laid-back, fun, chill couples energy. You two should try to react to some Golden Knight Garo series footage next! Think Highlander meets Blade, Tokusatsu style.
The story of liveman begins on the island school for young geniuses and gifted people from all over the world. Everything went well until three of the students hear the call of an evil alien-demon genius and decide to convert, becoming "demon generals" and attack the school, killing practically everyone. So, three students (Red, Blue and Yellow) who end up saving themselves, use the school project of costumes, equipment and mecha to fight this new threat. In the middle of the series, Black and Green appear to complete the team.
Have you guys thought about reacting to Pretty Cure openings? Pretty Cure is a magical girl anime series (similar to Sailor Moon), that airs in the same programing block as Super Sentai and Kamen Rider. It employs a lot of the same henshin hero tropes found in tokusatsu. There is quite a bit in overlap within the fandoms, with a lot of toku fans liking Pretty Cure and vice versa.
Funfact #1 and #2: Liveman and Turboranger theme songs is sung by the Red Rangers in the season Funfact #3: and Yes the Go-onger Zords are sentient and can talk
Yall should react to the OP's to the sister series of Super Sentai and Kamen Rider, which is the Pretty Cure franchise. It's basically Sentai but sailor moon/magical girl lol, also has one of the best fight scenes out there in anime. And great video guyss! Had fun watching thiss
Funny story, the last one there, Akibaranger is literally the fan service parody character. When I say fan service it literally is fan service, the red ranger of Akibaranger is a Weeb and geek who is a fan of super sentai, the name unofficial sentai literally makes sense because they're not part of the mainline series, although they now do have their own ranger keys and sentai gears. Kyoruger brave is a spin-off but I'm surprised it's even in this list. And watch super sentai, you will love it, they may have cheeky and upbeat openings but they can get dark, like not just "I need to be edgy" dark, I mean actually dark, like characters can die and I'm not just saying the monsters.
In Turboranger, one of the stories that I find the strangest among many (I even think that whoever wrote this should be on drugs), the Principal of a high school, along with a fairy (yes, a fairy), recruit 5 students from that school to fight a terrible threat that wanted to end the planet. Then the fairy uses her magic to power up turbo cars for the students (yes, turbo cars coming from magic). Well, the next series of cars (carranger) also have their powers coming from strange magic (constellations of cars), but at least this last one was admittedly a parody, since Toei had intended to make a more "comedy" series, something lighter, after Japan had suffered an attack on one of its train lines the previous year.
41:37 It fits more here actually, since her name is Swan and she becomes Deka Swan, so the motif fits. 49:13 Samurai pretty much copied story beats from Shinkenger 1 to 1, with a little bit of cultural appropriation, given the original team’s premise. As Shinkenger has the theme of Bushidō, with ShinkenRed being the lord and the others being Daimyos 1:00:06 Shurikenger did in fact had HurricaneRed show up and Jiraiya from the Metal Hero Franchise(ie Space Sherif Gavan) 1:11:56 The Don Brothers get their motif from the story Momotaro, with the anniversary aspect from Zenkaiger spilling over as they also use Sentai gears, which in Don Brothers are Avataro gear, because the simulated world aspect.
1:08:40 The person appearing on the screen at this moment is a comedian called Daimaou Kosaka, the producer of Piko Taro, who made the world go crazy with "PPAP" a few years ago.😊 (Actually it's Piko Taro himself, but he's a different person in the role of producer.😅
16:36 Maskman is the first Sentai Series where every ranger has your own zord. In the other series, the Red has your own zord itself and the other 1 or two zord are shared among the rest of the team. The only exception before is Battle Fever and Dynaman, because the zord itself are the main robo and are full shared among the rangers.
Few points: Gokaiger had at least one actor cameo from the preceeding 34 seasons by the penultimate episode. Gobuster changed their theme tune as Kamen Rider Wizard had just started opposite it. There are NO Zyuranger or Magiranger in Saikyou Battle as they notice when somebody is blocked by a spell shield. The tournament organisers were very keen they were NOT there.
Fiveman also talks a bit about school, but in a different way than his previous series (Turboranger). In this series, a couple of scientists need to spend some time on the moon or on Mars (I don't remember very well) and because they don't have anyone to leave them with, their 5 children end up going with them. There on Mars/moon, the scientists in an accident end up dying tragically and the 5 children are orphaned, being cared for by Arthur, the robot butler of the family. So they go back to Earth, study hard and eventually become teachers, each of a different subject. When a threat then arises, they use the equipment created by their parents and also by Arthur and by them during their childhood/adolescence. If you pay attention, Maskman, series from years before, has the uniform with a big "5" on the chest. That's because Maskman was actually supposed to be Fiveman, but they couldn't think of everything in time, so they ended up changing the name and story. Even the name of the maskman robot is Great Five and as I said in another comment, Maskman is the first series where each of the 5 Rangers individually has their respective mecha/zord.
Fun fact: the commander in Sun Vulcan played the human form of Ultraman Jack, Hideki Go. Bioman was shown in the US on a late night show, Night Flight. It was dubbed with comedic dialogue.
You guys get my subscription because you guys enjoy super sentai opening not like other guys who feel cringe on this opening, once again thank you for enjoying my childhood toku heroes
I'm absolutely dying at their commentary through all this😭😂😂 "Is their mentor Harriet Tubman?" "Whose little cousin on the track?" I should not be eating when watching your videos or I'm gonna choke 😂😂
If you're wondering why in the Samurai Sentei Shinkenger, the other samurai bowing to that one guy, thats because he's a Tono or Lord of the Clan and it's about hierarchy that the rest must follow his orders
One fact is Hikonin Sentai AkibaRanger is an UNOFFICIAL sentai. But there is some official sentai teams crossed over, let them borrow their power in the two season of this series .
The problem with this reaction is that HE was too obsessed with bragging about information talking over the music and SHE was mainly into looking for poses.
They usually fight each other in crossovers. In Sentai all the teams are from different universes and so they are surprised to see others and end up fighting at first.
As a point of trivia, the original Ranger series GoRanger was created by the manga author Ishimori Shotaro, who also is the creator of the Kamen Rider series.
And yes, the last two you watched were self-parodies of Sentai, including things like an episode where the Akibarangers meet the actor for the Red Dekaranger, getting excited, only to find out he was there to do an event not as DekaRed, but as SPD Red aka the Power Rangers version.
The reason why they are kneeling down to him in between 48:30 - 48:54 is because the leader of Shinkenger, the counterpart of the Samurai Ranger, is a "Tono" in translation means "Lord" What do I mean by "Lord"? From what I can gather so far it can mean anything from a man of importance, nobility, royalty, an emperor or king. As for those who is kneeling they are known as "Vassal" in the East. The word "Vassal" can either mean soldier in arm, honor guards, or second command during the King or Emperor absent. "Vassal" kneeling down to the "Lord" is a sign of respect. And don't worry the leader of the Shinkenger is not total douche or anything. He'll start off cold and a loner but he'll open up. Plus it was said in the fictional historical family back ground each of them came from samurai family or clan of the Ikenami(blue), Shiraishi(pink), Tani(green), and Hanaori(yellow) who vowed homage and fealty to the "Lord" and they were known as the Shiba(red) or Shiba Family. And the sixth member the Umemori(gold) was form in the modern time for they never existed in the fictional history book til later on. Sorry for rambling so much but I didn't want ya to think badly about the character and etc. It's not great but it's a good serie. The Samurai theme fit very well with the motif, power, and story of the show because it's part of their culture. The American adaptation didn't really do justice and some of the material seam to be copy and paste and made up for they didn't do much research on the culture. Could of been better if Neo-Saban took the time to create it own original story that teaches Japanese culture some sort. Just sharing my thoughts to ya. Good see some people showing their respect to the Sentai series. Keep it up
Fun fact about sentai is that the giant transforming robot only became a thing thanks to japans adaption of Spider-Man AKA Supaida-man who had one and Toei realized just how much of a money maker it is
in answer to the question if any original rangers came back for specials? yes, especially during the anniversary seasons (gokaiger definitely). Zenkaiger was the 45th sentai and the other 4 rangers were robots based on past sentai seasons (Zyuranger, Gaoranger, Magiranger, Boukenger).
Avataro Sentai Donbrothers (The Current One, And The Last One In The Video) Is Based Off The Tale Of Momotaro, DonMomotaro (Red) Is Based Off Of Momotaro Himself, SaruBrother (Blue), InuBrother (Black), And KijiBrother (Pink) Are Based Off The Monkey, Dog, And Pheasant He Befriends, And OniSister (Yellow) Is Based Off The Oni Momotaro And His Animal Friends Journey To Defeat, Which Makes Her Role In This Team Very Confusing!
1:3:37 about thieves who steal valuable artifacts taken by enemies in the series, and the police who are tasked with exterminating monsters that attack people and also stop the thieves 1:10:41 taken from the story of a Japanese citizen, namely Momotaro. Red Ranger : Don Momotarō Yellow Ranger : Oni Sister = Demon Blue Ranger : Saru brother = Gorila Black Ranger : Inu brother = Dog Pink Ranger : Kiji brother = Strok as you know, for the pink and black rangers..the CGI is really bad..but if you want to watch it..the story is really good
Unofficial Sentai, Akibaranger. It's a love-letter to super-sentai where the main rangers are Red: A middle-aged super sentai nerd who often dreams of being a red ranger. Blue: A super casual who only gets into super sentai for the fights. (In season two, she's replaced with a wannabe idol) Yellow: A cosplayer and manga artist who's a fujoshi. If you like super sentai but want something more goofy and meta, I DEFINITELY recommend it. It's fun, and you don't need and previous sentai knowledge to enjoy it (having that knowledge only enhances it, though). Also the main villianess is literally a porn star (or was, during the time this was filmed) Though, they ARE canon. They've been mentioned before in official works and the "Unofficial Power" was used in Super Hero Senki.

Avataro Sentai Don-Brothers is based on japanese Story The Story of the Son of a Peach the heroes are also based on actual characters Momotaro(Red), Oni(Yellow), Monkey(Blue), Dog(black), Crane(pink).
Nice! The lore goes deep with these!
And the crane ranger is officialy the first male pink ranger
It's pheasant not crane
His wife is a crane juuto
@@afrikarim2491 yeah, "kiji" is pheasant, but crane is "tsuru"
@@afrikarim2491 shhhh, no spoilers
@@xXlotusmoonXxalso isn't he also Kamen Rider Kickhopper from Kamen Rider Kabuto?
@@Junweitrustnobody1403 I don't know. I haven't watched the entirety of Kamen Rider Kabuto but I wouldn't be surprised if he did.
Definitely a must watch. It's a lot of fun. I enjoyed my time watching it
In regards to bowing to the Red Samurai, he actually is supposed to be somewhat royalty and is ridiculously good compared to the others.
Yeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh... I don't know if I should spoil anything, but suffice it to say, things are not as they seem in that show.
@@SBaby Slight spoiler based on the “Lord & Retainer/Vassal” Relationship concept mentioned by the commentor named here:
“This feeling of guilt, shame of the dishonour of letting one’s Lord died while in their service” was part of the reasons why KyouryuGold tried to distance himself from KyouryuRed, in the beginning.
Because KyouryuRed looks exactly like KyouryuGold’s slain Lord.
Fun fact: Maskman and Jetman opening theme were sung by Hironobu Kageyama who sang Dragon Ball Z Cha-la Head Cha-la and most of the DBZ theme... 🔥🔥🔥
Changeman too
Not to mention, y'know, being the current leader of JAM Project.
Gekiranger too I think 🤔
@@hpchannel147 it is performed by Takayoshi Tanimoto & Young Fresh
A cool fact about Mashin Sentai Kiramager: their mentor is called Muryou Hakataminami, he is portraided by the comedian and singer Daimaou Kosaka a.k.a Pikotaro (the original singer from pen pinneapple apple pen) and in one of the episodes he actually sing the meme song
Actually think that happens in a movie.
Agreed, I held off on this one for a long time, but after finally getting around to watching it had me hooked right away with the story.
Man, ToQger is so freaking good!!! And it got me in my feelings so bad!
Yeah, probably my fav post gokaiger sentai (tho I am enjoying Donbrothers and it might top ToQger in my opinion)
I agree, the first half was kinda slow but I got hooked with the story and characters specially when Akira was introduced.
I... *Counts comments* FIFTH this motion. The early episodes love to fuck with Sentai/Ranger norms. Well, okay the whole season does.
Fun fact: Battle Fever J, the third entry in Super Sentai was coproduced with Marvel after Toei and Marvel had created the Japanese Spider Man show
The reason they bowing to the red ranger in shinkenger is because he’s an actual lord and they are his warriors but he treats them as equals and is really dope
seeing you guys just vibing to 70'-80's sentai openings brighten my day haha
They have such a feel good vibe 😊
Fun fact, Denzi Green, the Green Ranger from the fourth opening is the Japanese voice actor of Madara Uchiha!
@9:11 that is the same guy who sang the Ultra Instinct theme! Akira Kushida
Nice!
47:23 - In the Japanese version (although this might not surprise you) the robots talk.
And after a while it’s mostly repeats

Glad to see you react to the Sentai openings! Hope for more Toku reactions
Toqger (train theme) and Donbrothers (weird cgi member) was the most wacky but the story was very interesting with the plot twist and kinda dark in some ways.
I'd be very surprised if they able to adapt that weird CGI 1 for the West. It is insanely random lol.
One of of rule when watching Tokusatsu is "Never look down on their suit. Jusy because it look goofy, that dont mean they have bad story to tell"
ToQger and Kamen Rider Gaim is one of those example

Its awesome that your childhood shows are an exact mirror of mines! All of those shows were awesome!
The thing about Toqger is that their designs are simple due to the gimmick, which is color changing. Red can become Green, Green can turn Pink, etc.
Their reaction to Kiji brother is indeed what everybody's reaction was like
My reaction was.. after watching SS for so many decades what in the WORLD is going on for the 45th!?
Trivias/Notes about Bioman:
Bioman became so famous in France, that the next Sentai series to be shown in the country (Liveman), had its name changed to Bioman 2.
Love your, guys, energy! ❤ The quips and jokes were so funny as well! 😂
seeing you guys try and piece what each season and team lore were was extra fun knowing the lore of most of these.
23:17 "In badassery we trust"
Quote of the year, I love it! x'D
@@ishinomorileon I think he just got burned out, which is a thing even in Japan.
I agree with this assessment totally... but it also IS as insane as it looks.
Watching y'all groove out to the Kakuranger theme made my day. I shouldn't have laughed so hard ay "Juan Yamanaka" but I did
Great reaction you two!
Just a reminder: the green ranger from Liveman was impregnated by a monster

Maskman tells about the power of meditation and light, if you meditate correctly and for a long time, you can be super strong and even levitate/fly.
Chojin Sentai Jetman was an homage to Science Team Gatchaman.
Gatchaman was translated as "Battle of the Planets" with the team name G-Force.

Donbro is a masterpiece, they totally got high when wrote the script lol! Watch it is a must! They totally went out of the box in that one
Funfact #1 and #2: Liveman and Turboranger theme songs is sung by the Red Rangers in the season
Funfact #3: and Yes the Go-onger Zords are sentient and can talk
Yall should react to the OP's to the sister series of Super Sentai and Kamen Rider, which is the Pretty Cure franchise. It's basically Sentai but sailor moon/magical girl lol, also has one of the best fight scenes out there in anime.
And great video guyss! Had fun watching thiss
if you want watch some of the older stuff start off with Jetman which you can get on DVD now. its considered one of the best seasons ever.
Fun fact: the Boukenger opening was sung by Nobuo Yamada, who also did Pegasus Fantasy as the lead singer of Make-Up.
Also, love your content!
DON-BROTHERS are one of the best sentai series to date.
next super sentai roll call video :D
Yalls commentary had me weak 😂
We love to see it man. Plus you guys remind us of all the random stuff we forgot we even said in these reactions lol.
There's no way not to watch this video! You guys got off to a good start, praising the best Sentai ever made, Dairanger!
Akibaranger is an unofficial sentai parody where all the rangers are otaku and the final villain is the writer or producer of all the sentai shows.
That's the one I was looking for!
41:37 It fits more here actually, since her name is Swan and she becomes Deka Swan, so the motif fits.
49:13 Samurai pretty much copied story beats from Shinkenger 1 to 1, with a little bit of cultural appropriation, given the original team’s premise. As Shinkenger has the theme of Bushidō, with ShinkenRed being the lord and the others being Daimyos
1:00:06 Shurikenger did in fact had HurricaneRed show up and Jiraiya from the Metal Hero Franchise(ie Space Sherif Gavan)
1:11:56 The Don Brothers get their motif from the story Momotaro, with the anniversary aspect from Zenkaiger spilling over as they also use Sentai gears, which in Don Brothers are Avataro gear, because the simulated world aspect.
1:08:40 The person appearing on the screen at this moment is a comedian called Daimaou Kosaka, the producer of Piko Taro, who made the world go crazy with "PPAP" a few years ago.😊
(Actually it's Piko Taro himself, but he's a different person in the role of producer.😅
Real happy to see this!
31:02 - Yes, it is. In Super Sentai, they don't use teenagers very often. Normally, the characters are young adults.
Lupinranger vs. patranger looks really interesting!!
@20:57 Never thought the earth would fart!.. hahahaah
Carranger was made to be far more light hearted than other series to promote traffic safety
Few points:
Gokaiger had at least one actor cameo from the preceeding 34 seasons by the penultimate episode.
Gobuster changed their theme tune as Kamen Rider Wizard had just started opposite it.
There are NO Zyuranger or Magiranger in Saikyou Battle as they notice when somebody is blocked by a spell shield. The tournament organisers were very keen they were NOT there.
Ninja Storm and Wild Force are my favorite theme songs for the Japanese version
I really loved Magiranger when I was kid.
Fun fact: the commander in Sun Vulcan played the human form of Ultraman Jack, Hideki Go. Bioman was shown in the US on a late night show, Night Flight. It was dubbed with comedic dialogue.
Please let Goseiger 15th and Ninninger 10th happen when Toei will do anything in 2025
You guys get my subscription because you guys enjoy super sentai opening not like other guys who feel cringe on this opening, once again thank you for enjoying my childhood toku heroes

9:12 it very true. Singer being doing this since 70s until now
If you're wondering why in the Samurai Sentei Shinkenger, the other samurai bowing to that one guy, thats because he's a Tono or Lord of the Clan and it's about hierarchy that the rest must follow his orders
I kinda know now. I've watched the series in its entirety and post my reactions on this channel.
27:13
He is the first actor who played Super Sentai, Ultraman, and Kamem Rider.
I know right? That's what makes us different and great 😁
They usually fight each other in crossovers.
Keep it up
Fun fact about sentai is that the giant transforming robot only became a thing thanks to japans adaption of Spider-Man AKA Supaida-man who had one and Toei realized just how much of a money maker it is
Yay finally sentai! I love sentai the most these days cause they're funny. I recently watched toqger (the train one) and it's so funny and good.
Next Video y’all should do is Check out the “Deaths of Super Sentai Members throughout the Years”
in answer to the question if any original rangers came back for specials? yes, especially during the anniversary seasons (gokaiger definitely).
1:3:37 about thieves who steal valuable artifacts taken by enemies in the series, and the police who are tasked with exterminating monsters that attack people and also stop the thieves
1:10:41 taken from the story of a Japanese citizen, namely Momotaro.
Red Ranger : Don Momotarō
Yellow Ranger : Oni Sister = Demon
Blue Ranger : Saru brother = Gorila
Black Ranger : Inu brother = Dog
Pink Ranger : Kiji brother = Strok
as you know, for the pink and black rangers..the CGI is really bad..but if you want to watch it..the story is really good
Love you couple reacted them 😄BTW It's pronounced "Ju" not "Zyu" in Kyoryusentai Juranger.
Fun fact: Battle Fever J was originally going to be an adaptation of Captain America, with the protagonist being Captain Japan
goseiger is my favorite.
Unofficial Sentai, Akibaranger. It's a love-letter to super-sentai where the main rangers are
Red: A middle-aged super sentai nerd who often dreams of being a red ranger.
Blue: A super casual who only gets into super sentai for the fights. (In season two, she's replaced with a wannabe idol)
Yellow: A cosplayer and manga artist who's a fujoshi.
If you like super sentai but want something more goofy and meta, I DEFINITELY recommend it. It's fun, and you don't need and previous sentai knowledge to enjoy it (having that knowledge only enhances it, though). Also the main villianess is literally a porn star (or was, during the time this was filmed)
Though, they ARE canon. They've been mentioned before in official works and the "Unofficial Power" was used in Super Hero Senki.
This was both hilarious and entertaining to watch 🖤🤣 Please do the Super Sentai Henshins I'm sure y'all will love them 🖤
