When growing up on what was originally, my grandparents' farm we used a product called Udder Balm on the cows' teats to protect them. When Grandpa or my dad had chapped hands with cracking, they would rub their hands in with the udder balm. When I ended up with frostbite on my hands, my grandpa made my parents rub my hands in with the balm and put cotton gloves on during the night to help heal the skin. I swear by it to this day.
If it’s good enough for a cows udders it’s good enough for my lips
Maybe you need to wear Diesel's weighted blanket cause you all drama with the wide house load...
Ok Josh when 2 super wide loads meet on a highway, which load has the right of way? Always wondered 🤔
That's a great question
Permit office will not allow 2 super wide loads to be on the same road at the same time unless it's a 4 lane highway or more.
If it wasn't completely obvious that your lover for your buddy Diesel wasn't apparent...this video about the shirt you got for him speaks volumes. If it makes him comfortable and calms him down...it's worth it and shows you care about your pet. I LOVE to see that.
My father was a brick layer. His hands got really dry, so he used this stuff called Bag Balm. Farmers use it for cows udders. You can find that in any drug store. Glad what you have is working. Nice to see you take great care of your dogs. Sign of a good man.
As nurses we swear by that stuff too!
Bag balm is absolutely the bomb for my cracked lips, only things for me.
them damm step decks and flatbeds are to much work my buddy drives and will only do dry vans or reefers but hey what ever pays the bills right he drives a maroon t600 kw very nice truck have run with him a lot over the years
When we have such wide loads on roads in Sweden we have a pilot car way far in front that forces oncoming traffic to stop, either on the shoulder och in a crossing, driveway or what is availible. Never are you allowed to drive into oncoming traffic with that load and never at that speed.
One good thing now, is Brit can record stuff, or you can facetime. Back in the day when i was in school, rarely did he ever make a school event. My mom would take some snap shots to show him. He missed out on a lot, and so did i. But it was not because he didn't just not show up, he had to work to keep us fed, keep us warm, and a roof over our head. My dad has been gone since 1986 and i still miss him just as much now as the day he passed away.
Glad the thunder shirt is working. My daughter was watching the video and she works for a company that issues permits to trucks in the States. Just by looking at the video from behind the house is too large for that road. Not that we could see but there’s suppose to be a warning vehicle in front also having the cars pull over and stop on the shoulder as they go by not just letting them drive freely around the house. No placard on the back of the load or marking flags on the side. Great video. Safe travels!
Widest load I've ever seen. Sometimes around here, they'll move big stuff on the weekends or at night when they can close down the road.
Can you get thoseThundershirts for kids?
So glad the Thundershirt is working!
Diesel is back ...👍👍👍🇭🇷🇨🇦
How do you strap the house to the trailer ? cool footage
Highway 16 is in Marion Virginia
DIESELS BACK!!!! 🙌🏻 Glad to see your old friend rejoin you, hopefully that compression hug sweater continues to help with his issues.
Luckily for you and Diesels safety, you came up behind that house hauler instead of coming at it. Yikes 😬 crazy stuff.
Stay safe, and keep trucking brother 🤙🏻
Amazon delivery.....😂😂😂😂Its mine. They are lost IM in the Midwest in the States 🇺🇸😂😂😂
Bears sleep in the winter.
You’ve got some BIG motor homes in Canada 😩🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇨🇦🇨🇦
I'm glad you & Deisel are safe & warm. Loved seeing the sunset. So beautiful coming into Pas seeing the sunset colors from oranges to cranberry, pinks to the left & the night starting to end the day with the blues to darker blues on the right. Just so beautiful! I hope it continues to stay on the mild side for both of us. Good night Josh & Deisel.
That wide load is bigger than my mental health. Jesus that is nuts.
Yup we had that cold weather in the USA last week. It’s been a super mild winter!
Be careful
Oversize driver here, josh. While i don't know how wide that thing is, i don't have my youtube measuring stick handy. I regularly pull 16ft and 18ft wide loads, and at 18 i sometimes think its a bit much myself. This is overkill imo.
Man this video is great. thanks for sharing with all of us. I look forward to more vids. You got a new subscriber sir :)
Thunder shirt I’ve got to remember that! Anyway, if possible if you come across a good light show, some video of the Northern Lights would be great! Thank you!
I'm from the UK and New to this channel, loving the videos, my dad was a trucker his whole life retired a couple years ago now very different to trucking in the UK, I've been driving for a few years now myself but in a van up and down the UK
Love being on the road.
Are you an owner operator or working for a company?
"I said it before, but amazon prime delivery is Geeting out control." Okay that caught me off guard and had me laughing for a few minutes and I am still smiling. The internet has me a little jaded after all these years so it's not very often something catches me off guard anymore. Thank you for that. 😄
carpenter working outside in the winter here..... might have to look into that balm..
That's good news that Diesel’s thunder shirt is working. I have never seen something similar here in Europe. Our dog has a big problem with fireworks and gunshots. Whenever he hears it, his panic attacks begin. I'm going to look for something similar to a thunder shirt in our stores. 😁
Between unity (my home town) and saskatoon it was always on a Wednesday. We would usually meet either houses, farm equipment or grain bins being moved.
In the past my wife used to think I worried too much when we traveled. Then she made a few trips with a girlfriends and remarked to me how much pain in the ass everything was to always have to look after everything for everyone. I just smiled, and said yes, never mind the worrying men do the never come to fruition after they mentally solved 1000 problems that don't develop.
Why do so many Canadian fuel stops lack a canopy? Are we just spoiled down here in the U.S.?
Hi josh and lord diesel I'm so happy to see lord diesel is enjoying his thundershirt.happy truckin and much ❤
Like all dads won't to be there for kids there times you can't make it my last one he is 19 all most 20 has moved out and got hem a good job I have been driving for 20 years I have mess some stuff to so I now the feeling you got you and your wife are going to be good parents you will be just fine be safe out there keep on trucking and keep the videos coming
Well, at least we got minus 4 in Germany right now at 07:50 Wednesday Februar 8th... 😉👍
Wow, that was a wide load. What if you had your normal wide load coming the other way. So glad the Thunder Shirt is working for Lord Thunder Deisel. Thanks for the update on the Thunder Shirt. Take care!
What you should more than likely say is that you will do the best you can to be at and support the important things in life for Baby G to the very best of your ability and with love.
Did you have to pick up your load on Highway 6? Just wondering why you did not go up via Hwy 10 past Dauphin etc through The Pas then to Flin Flon
Lord weisel wants he gets, we love him and enjoy seeing him and the rest of doggies and yes you and brit also 😁
Those boys hauling the house better hope a wide load doesn't come the other way lol
Thank you for asking to park overnight, goes along way.
Dont loads such as that have s designated route they have to follow as per what the permit says? That's what I always thought. I've done some 12 foot concrete precast and 12 foot wide by 60 foot long modular homes but nothing as wide as that house. Dont think I'd care to do it either
My dad always said , prepare for the worst, hope for the best.
It hasn't been -30 since Fe. 3 Stop lying to use.
keep your microfiber close with all that moisturizer
How about a buddy heater in case of emergency
I’m so glad diesel’s coat is working for him and that oversized was bordering on the ridiculous, crazy, great vlog Josh stay safe and warm friend.
As a nurse, I was always scrubbing in. We used a product called Udder Butter! Lol!
Hi fellow nurse!
@@donmeyers2631 hey! How are you? ♥️👍🏻🙋♀️
Imagine being that rear pilot car just literally looking at a wall all day. he better hope he has plenty of fuel in his semi and doesn't need to go to a truck stop for fuel because it would be a lot of work for fuel
The pilot cars might have a transfer tank to fuel the semi
Easy money being the small truck being in front or behind
Hi there! wow that's crazy!! In Germany the road would be closed with police escort and then only at night when no or little traffic is. Maybe he had a short distance and he was trying to cut costs and hoping that the police didn't catch him.
Stay safeand stay warm. Glad it's helping Diesel
🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴
Glad you like the lotion . Softer hands for when the baby gets here . Aww , buddy is liking his jacket .. that's awesome ❤️🌹❤️
Hi Canadian you have the perfect life , just not the perfect weather. Safe travels.
It baffles me that it’s literally 68 degrees Celsius warmer where I am in Australia compared to Manitoba when this video was filmed. Holy cow
Ur looking a little blue r u feeling ok 🤣🤣
🍭SWEET🍭God Bless You & Yours🙏🏼💖👍🏼
wow josh thats way too cold for me mate,i reckon i would die for sure, that house was way too wide, here in australia they cut the house in half to transport it ,i,m glad Deisel likes his new jacket,it would be a shame if he couldn,t go in the truck, take care mate and stay safe
Esso.. is Exxon in the States
The Paw🐾 looks awesome in the snow!
Stay safe and that dog is adorable! The house is shocking! 😳😳😳😳🤣🤣🙏♥️ Love to Brit and you be careful! You’re soon going to be a Father! That baby is changing everybody’s name, grandparents, eat! Lol! Little bundle,,,,big change! 😊
Udder balm was the real deal back in the day back on the farm.
Cold Pas Dog Vlog!
Nice to see Diesel smiling and his ears up again!
GOOD for Diesel, glad he is getting use to it!!
Morning.josh
Well said Dad.
Do you see much wild life on your travels?
Not much actually. Less and less
Right now by Esterhazy sask its highs of -2°C
Josh your house is right in front of you
I take it the thunder suit is working for diesel good to see you back trucking with your dad you was missed diesel
Hi Josh, the thunder jacket is like a chill pill for dogs. Ours calmed down like night and day. And yes, that parking lot at the esso near the 60 could use a clearing. I do the Pas run frequently and sometimes spend the night there. Last time almost sank through some loose spots during a warmer day.
I am glad to see Diesel out riding. He is always a part of the rig.
Hi there nice job on your video
Real bullsnot?
Why a step deck vs a flatbed trailer ?
Love the content
I prefer step deck.
It's lower and easier to get onto to secure loads and you can haul higher freight giving you more options
@@Trucker_Josh that’s awesome . I start my trucking career next week and always wondered which was better Thankyou for the response
👍 Both you and Brit are going to be awesome parents. Baby G is very lucky that you two wanted him or her so very much. You two have gone through a lot to get where you are now. 😊
The house going down the highway is way too wide for public safety. Glad you and Diesel are doing some team driving. Take care and drive safely, Trucker Josh. You're going to be a great dad and Brit will be a great mom.
We make our roads wide enough to handle it. I have passed about a dozen over the last 5 years going down to Winnipeg, or back.
The fun is when they have to raise them on the beams to clear the railings on the Grand Rapids bridge.
By the way, only Montana has the same road widths, in the states, on some roads.
Best wishes from the far North.
Catering to non truckers again I see! "No wide loads unless it's me"!
Waving a hand from texas
@Trucker_Josh2 don’t know how I suffered a brain bleed and a lot of this I forgot how to do
Gives a whole new meaning to wide load
Happy trucking!!!!
He had a front pilot car warning all the oncoming traffic. They were well aware of the oversized load
Ya but how should a fully loaded b-train pull over in the soft shoulder?🤷
@@kylerwaldner5054 as I do all the time hauling oversized loads. Slow down and pass carefully. Simple.
@@thistruckerslife if its a paved shoulder no problem but if its a snow covered gravel shoulder I'm not going on it at 140,000 lbs
Josh, I love your vlogs like all the other people. BUT i will say the baby arrival will loose a lot of your followers if you don’t keep it trucking orientated! I’m very happy for you but follow you for trucking.
I do not think that is true.. And to be honest if it was my channel and some left because I now have a baby then they are not anybody that I would want on my channel anyways. I for one really enjoy home time with Brit and the dogs and I certainly am looking forward to the arrival of baby G.
I've been very clear over the years, this is not a trucking channel. It's the story of my life both on and off the road.
There will be lots of family content in the future. Fair warning.
Just tune in to the Trucking vlogs in that case. I wouldn't be offended.
I label hometime videos as "TJV" and Trucking videos as "My Trucking Life" to make it easy to tell what it's about
Person that issued permit should be fired. driver and company fined and should have refused load. DOT and Manitoba traffic and highway, FIRED..
Every on coming driver was put at risk!!!!!!. You cant legally drive on the shoulder. Under the highway traffic act you are not to leave the road way, meaning live lane of traffic. Plus insurance wouldn't cover me me leaving the highway.
If I passed a slow vehicle on the shoulder of the highway I'd be charged.
Canada has gone to SH!T. Very sad to see.
Always good to see Diesel. Drive safe. Looking forward to you being a dad. I know you will do fine.
Yeah that wide load was a bit much, You would never see that in Ontario. I thought we had it bad with 10-12 ft wide on some of our tight highways, this is crazy lol.
