    Panda gallery is headed in a better direction but exposed diodes of Lights creates those hot spots and needs a defuser over the lights diodes. 200 for wood is not a good price point

    The hot spots are a no go for me. I hope they make some changes so the light is defused & spread out more evenly

      If you put the LED strip towards the back of the frame and not against the art, it is diffused a lot better. We certainly will improve the frame over time but the leds here were mounted incorrectly unfortunately

      @@V1Tech Possible that you could send me a video of how it looks with the LEDs strips are placed properly? I actually live in Texas close to Farmers Branch as well so happy to get another LED Strip kit and retry if that's the case.

    Yea I saw their video in how they suggest to light it and it's pretty sloppy. I'm gonna make my own, frame needs to be deeper and I've seen people that use heat reflective tape to bounce the light around.

    You put the led on wrong 😭 you’re supposed to adhere it as far back on the frame as possible and not directly on the Art work. I’m sorry if the guide wasn’t clear.

      If you place the strip back further along the frame on the backside it in my experience did not level off correctly and went in a zigzag pattern. It is not directly on the artwork it is on the frame on the front portion as when I laid it that was the only place to get it from now moving all over the place and looking tacky.
      Also that does not prevent the bulky connection issue I experienced here. Having it along the backside would actually probably generate a significant amount of heat along the wall which might be a no go for some people as well.
      If you could give an example of the proper way to do it I can update the review!
      However even if the LED strips would be further back sure it would 'diffuse' more but I can't imagine that thee circles of light would still not be seen.
      My recommendation still stands on the wooden frame. Notching out a segment inside close to the middle of the frame where the LED Strips can ride inside would be ideal and prevent any misplacement of the LEDs in the future.

      @V1 Tech I looked at your assembly video. Your user in this one also places the RGB Strips close to the artwork. It's more middle placed which makes the 'spheres' look less pronounced so you might be correct if you place the RGB strips along the back...but it looks like that would ruin some of the lighting effect? Also I can still see the spheres regardless even under that method.
      But also he had the same issues with the bulky wall connection as well. All goes back to the frame needs to be designed further. Notch it to be able to ensure the RGB strips are always placed correctly every time and that would remove the 'sphere' effect.

      Took a look and saw that @drift0r made their own frames. Perhaps you should ask him how he did it to offer proper light diffusion?

    I was about to pull the trigger but i dont like the hot spots especially if you're spending $200 it should already be put together with good lighting.

      They have told me it's mounted wrong but there's no directions that say mount it further back. In hindsight I probably should have caught that but eh. I'm still happy it works but the frame is basically useless unless you get the light diffusers you can get on Amazon. Which I might go back and purchase.

  • @SonJayChannel
    @SonJayChannel 5 месяцев назад

    Made a better frame just buying stuff from Amazon. 5 pack of cheap plastic frames, screw two together, glue an LED strip to the back frame (edge of the front frame diffuses the light), put some foam in the corners to keep the art flush and you're done! All in all it cost $15 in materials for each frame (made 2 with what I had)

    Maybe a dumb question, but can you put LEDs without a frame?

    • @gunz_guntaku
      @gunz_guntaku  Год назад

      Yes you could if you line them along the back but you'd need to put something to get it off the wall to do indirect lighting behind it I guess. Frame is better.

      It does seem they used a local company to make it perfect for these pieces of art. I Bought it solely for the review of it to see how it functions. I believe based off my video as well they will do an update for install.

      @Remus gaynor How did you go about making your own frame? I also bought the artwork poster myself mainly b/c the frame wasn't available to purchase. Could I purchase a wooden frame or frame in general at a Hobby Lobby? And then buy LED lights of my own? Would you know how to do that? A cry for help lol
