Rakhmonov landed 29 head strikes to Garry's 11 and he also had 11.5 min of control time vs 2.5 min for Garry. Imo it was a decisive Rakhmonov win although Garry did win the leg kick battle 22 to 2. Garry's leg kicks really are great. Edwards v Garry is going to be legendary.
You’re reading stats over a 25 minute period. Fights are scored round by round. Shavkat built the differential in round 4. Round 1 (which he won and absolutely won the fight) was decided by one significant strike.
Shavkat also took the fight last minute so why respect just for Garry? Garry was already in camp otherwise he would not have taken the fight, let’s be real. It was also a contender fight, so with a win the reward would’ve been greater than a win over Buckley.
@ Because I was already praising Shavkat, BUT the reason Garry taking the fight is a big deal is because he knew that Shavkat could beat him. He’s been on the bad side of training and didn’t have to fight him to get the title shot next. I’m more impressed overall with Shavkat he also took a risky fight but I’m glad he did because I felt he needed 1 more before fighting for the title.
@ To be honest, he just looks it, seeing the size of his legs especially while Shavkat was first tryna take him down, and generally he’s always the bigger fighter
I totally disagree with this idea of Shavkhat only beating Garry by one Strike. Garry spent his last 3 fights running away and point fighting. He arguably beat MVP by 1/2 sig strikes. Shavkhat on a full camp for Ian destroys him in 2 rounds
Adam great breakdown of Shavkats IQ, not enough people talking about how he outsmarted Ian, hes not an easy fight, but saying all that and saying Ian lost by 1 strike doesn't match up
The Volk vs Gane fight was close. Volkov did better in round 2 but it was still a close round if you re watch it. Thats the main round to watch. (And try not to listen to the crowd.)
He run away from a 1 legged man trying to counter strike he landed nothing of note tried to choke out someone who relaxed and waited with no real risk then exploded out of the position then loses fight and still acts like he has an O 😅😅
Only a clown like Uncle Fester would say the difference was a single strike. Garry glazer😂😂 Fester is giving it large on meritocracy and then starts talking about Masvidal 😂
He's the number 1 ranked guy in the division you don't just get to fight someone at the bottom of the pile plus he has another opponent lined up already probably someone like Sean Brady unfortunately
@@CaseyKCRichards what did I say wrong? Who's a 'lesser opponent' that he can fight whilst being highly ranked?? And the UFC don't jump people up that much unless it's like a O'Malley or Khamzat

This is not how scoring fights works. He could’ve had all 29 in one round then not landed another for the rest of the fight
@@stevethedweeb3846 of course you score fights round by round. You can get out landed 50 to 1 and loose a round or win a round 2 shots to 0
@@stephenwooding8704 why are you saying ofcourse? I said exactly that
Shavkat impressed me. Ian is huge for the weight class, and then to get out off that choke. Respect to Garry aswell for taking the fight.

Is Ian really huge for welterweight??

On what planet did Garry lose by 1 strike.
in a British journalist mind or more accurately fantasy world, obviously
I totally disagree with this idea of Shavkhat only beating Garry by one Strike.

Shavkhat on a full camp for Ian destroys him in 2 rounds
and a healthy knee
I fully agree, think people are over doing the Ian Garry praise just because they had unreal expectations from Shavkat
Adam is forgetting that the fights are judged by rounds and Garry lost 3 of them decisively.
This wasn’t a close fight. Garry couldn’t capitalize on the rear naked choke he attained by fluke.
That was the best moment of the fight.
TBF, PFL Washington had a Gracie and I lost my multi haha

You can't just look at stripe numbers and see the whole story on the fight. That's just a general gauge.
If shsvkat done his mcl then we ain’t getting a WW title fight till September
Also shavkat had an mcl
Old man turned promoter masvidal has absolutely no business being in the UFC let alone a fight with the number 1 contender
In elite competition it's always down to fine margins.

Volkov better get a behind the curtain Daddy Dana bonus😂😂

If Leon loses to Garry his career i over and or he goes to the bottom pile.. Fight lesser opponents and make money .. first.

I think Bilal is going to beat shavkat very easily, and joe roegan shouldn’t do that on the mic calling on Bilal
He is already defeated 2 times😂 😂😂
leon wont fight again
He absolutely will
ILOVE GARRY HE IS A GOOD FIGHTER , I HOPE HE WILL BECOME CHAMPION VERY SOON
SHAVKAT CAN’T BEAT BILAL
