I'm surprised the C63 would even come with halogens. But I agree, on a luxury car it's sad to see halogens over Xenons or LED at this point. Usually due to someone wanting to own the brand but can't afford the luxury.
+PRN I agree, I could never understand why they were not standard on the AMG model( imo all luxury cars should have xenons or led if available) I would say about 80% of the amgs have the lighting package but when it comes down to the 250s or 300s I would guess 85% do NOT have xenons which is disappointing.. But you hit the nail on the head most people just want the badge but to me a "luxury" car with little to no options is not a true luxury car.. When I was buying my c300 back in 2013 I told the sales guy lighting package plus the amg style rims were a must have , he lol and said most people buying the c class don't want to pay 2,000 for headlights because they can barley afford the lease payment on a base model( the headlights alone added about $50 a month) needless to say I had to special order there was only 1 on the whole west coast and it was in white when I wanted black. Are they rare in the Canadian market?
Most of the W204s I see on the road have Xenons, it's the CLAs that I see the most with halogens. We're going to publish a Full Tour & Review of a W205 C300 with the premium plus and sport package, yet has halogen headlights, I really don't understand why those options were selected. For me, I'd rather buy an off-lease fully loaded luxury car than a brand new base model. The badge on the front means nothing to me if a Hyundai Elantra has more features.
Hey man! I have been watching your video for a while now! I personally drive a C300 2013 3.5, and I am located in Ontario. Also, we have a 2018 Challenger GT at our house and I saw your review about it. I really like your reviews, and everything that you say in your reviews is nothing but the truth coming from the owners of both of them, there is not one thing I argue about. Just keep up the hard work and you will get to 100,000 subscribers. Quality videos my friend !!! 👍
I really appreciate that, thank you! I try my best to make the most professional content I can. I feel I've come a really long way since this video, standing in an echo-ey wash bay with a microphone cord running along the floor to the camera.
I watched this video a while ago and bought this car. The cars styling is pretty good looking I’m not a fan of the rear end but the front is aggressive and looks amazing. The car drives good pretty good in the snow, isn’t the fastest car but for its class it’s pretty quick and can stay at high speeds comfortably (140mph). People will compliment it but it’s not an everyday occurrence. I bought this car slightly after I turned 18 for about 15k. I work on heavy duty diesels so money was good. I also run a small shop and I’d say this car is a little on the expensive end when it comes to maintenance. I’ve probably spend about 6k on this car since I bought it. Battery’s, tires, transfer case, alignment, oil changes and more. I’d say if you make decent money this cars a great bug and you will enjoy it. I love the navigation and sound system. Honestly if I had to buy the car again I’d probably do it. It’s a good car all around and a great way to get introduced to Mercedes. Just be prepared to take care of the car. That’s my experience with it so far it’s been about 8 months if anybody else wants to share comment below
Glad to hear it. Definitely true on keeping up on the maintenance, any used luxury car is going to cost you when it comes down to it. This was one of my very early car videos, we've featured a C 63 AMG since with some more information on this generation C-Class.
E-Class is definitely a nicer ride, but the extra tech may lead to more repair/maintenance costs. I ended up buying a 2013 C-Class a few years ago and it's been an awesome car. I also own a 2013 S-Class and love the feel of that car over the C. I imagine the E-Class from the same era would be a good mix of the two.
hey this particular car is intresting and not expensive. i find 15k deal with less than 30k miles, almost too beautiful to be true. I just have question, is it maintainable, i'm just a college student working any job. I was thinking of getting an M3 e46. but beamers are too expensive to maintain.but i don't know about this one.
You're correct, thanks for pointing that out! We know some people who have the W204 C300 and swear it's the most reliable car they've ever owned. Both this and the W211 E-Class are highly recommended from owners. I think if you can find a well-equipped and low milage model you'll be able to afford it, especially if you're able to get an extended warranty.
I bought my 2013 C300 Luxury model in August 2012. It now has 43K miles. In addition to recalls, I had the rear camera replaced under warranty. I also got rid of all original tires (Continentals) early after two of them developed sidewall bubbles, and bought Michelin’s. I really like this car, still feels very tight, smooth ride (partially due to regular tires, not run flats) and the naturally aspirated 6 banger. I like the look better than the succeeding C-class models, both exterior and interior with the nav screen integrated into the dash rather than a stuck-on tablet.
Personally I’d take the C 32 AMG, but ideally in the blue paint they offered. That car has always been a favourite of mine, and it’s a unique enough car in the sea of W204s. Depends on what you need out of a car though, if I needed a daily for winter the 4matic is unbeatable.
Hi there I’m always running into your videos and think they are great . I would lend you the car , probably give it to you, don’t understand some people . Thanks and stay away from the virus !!
I don't think I'd trade my 7 in it's best condition for this, and it's not because the C300 isn't a fantastic car. The C300 is newer and feels like it rolled off the assembly line, where as my 7 Series could use a minor tune up. However people will drive by the C300 without looking at it twice, whereas the E38 usually turns heads.
Perpetual Radio Networks "rare" is why. I hate all other beautiful cars like the E38. Only because of have a c300. I guess its like a ford vs Chevy thing. Lol
We're always happy to do E38 videos, but we need suggestions! We're planning an 18-Month update for March, but that's the only E38 video we have on deck at the moment.
Hi Nile! Are you interested in detailing? Maybe you can show us how you keep your E38 clean inside and outside. You know, wash the car, maybe polish it and so on. There are many things which you could do in car-care, as long as you have the time and the weather isn´t too bad. But just a Suggestion from my side. ;) Greetings from Germany!
I'll start looking into it! I haven't detailed my car to any professional standard, so far just regular soap and water for the exterior and regular cleaning on the inside, but I'm hoping to get some good products this Spring and look at some procedures that will help make the car shine! I'll see if we can make some videos about it!
That's a great question, and one we hope to be able to answer in the next couple months as we work to lineup a TestDrive Showdown between the W205 C300 and F30 335i. Since we've only had a chance to drive the 320i our experience would be weighed heavily towards the C300.
I saw this video a few months ago. I went and bought this car. I absolutely love it. It's fast!
Glad you enjoy it, and congrats on the purchase!
Good to see a w204 with Lighting package idk why it's so rare in the U.S., I always get a good laugh when I see c63s with halogens.
I'm surprised the C63 would even come with halogens. But I agree, on a luxury car it's sad to see halogens over Xenons or LED at this point. Usually due to someone wanting to own the brand but can't afford the luxury.

SAME! So true
My 2013 C300 Luxury edition at 184K miles is still awesome!

I love the design of this car and it’s prolly the best designed car by Mercedes. I’d choose 2014 over 2015 anytime
We like the W204 quite a bit also, we're glad we had the chance to drive the C 63 AMG last summer.
Exactly this design still competes to this day it’s nicest designs ever
Prolly???
I have this car the best it’s a compact I fit in the car it’s not a gigantic interior but it works for me
Glad to hear it! We like the W204 both as the C300 and the C63.
0:54 you said w204 mercedes S class not C class, add some adnotation to this moment in video to stragiht that up :p
Yeah we realized this recently, it was one of our earlier videos at this point, we've gotten a lot better at it since then :)
Compared to the E350 what do you think ?

Awesome video!
I'm certainly glad you think so, I think we've improved our overall show format considerably since filming this.
What miles does this car start to act up?
A C 300 should be pretty decent overall, we know plenty of people who've bought these who haven't had any major issues into the 150k km range.
Would you rather have this c300, or the c32 you previously reviewed?
Personally I’d take the C 32 AMG, but ideally in the blue paint they offered. That car has always been a favourite of mine, and it’s a unique enough car in the sea of W204s. Depends on what you need out of a car though, if I needed a daily for winter the 4matic is unbeatable.
@@PRNTestDrive that's very true, I'm looking for a first car and the c32/c55 have caught my attention the last few months
I've heard nothing but great things about the 55 Series C-Class AMG, if it's anything like the CLK we did last year it should definitely impress.
You’re right, it is a nice car 👍
Can't go wrong with it!
Very good review, best one
I think we've improved significantly since this one, so if you liked this you should see our recent stuff!
did he said w204 s class at the beginning ?
I hope not, this is clearly a C-Class.
I own the same C-Class in the same Iridian Silver Metallic paint and the black MB Text upholstery, but a 2014 year model. I love it. ❤️ 👍
Very nice! These are definitely popular models for Mercedes.
Hi there I’m always running into your videos and think they are great . I would lend you the car , probably give it to you, don’t understand some people . Thanks and stay away from the virus !!
Glad to hear that, thank you! This one was one of our early videos, access to vehicles has gotten a little easier in the years at least.
Do it has a reverse camera ??
This one didn't I believe Mercedes started adding them in 2015.
@@PRNTestDrive I have it in my 2014 C300...Fully optioned....Got it on Oct 7 for 23k with 25179k km...Great car!
Good to know!
I have a reverse camera on my 2013 c300 Luxury model.

Cars cost way too much in Canada
Tell me about it!
Not really u can buy 2016 c300 less than 35000 mks for 30k
The best or nothing
Absolutely is! Funny that we ended up buying one of these about 3 years ago.
which feels better as a daily driver a fully loaded c 300 or 335 bmw

junior igie c350
dont get 4matic unless you enjoy replacing $2000 drive axles, theres 4 of them, and 1 main one ;)
Everything is more expensive with 4matic!
Is C class
huh?
Yes this is a C-Class.
