    I've owned and tried many compact digital cameras over the years and the F30 (or F31fd) is easily my favourite. Very low noise, great lens, beautiful colours... I picked up a second copy then sold most of my other digicams.

    you don‘t need an adapter to import the photos to your computer IF you also have the usb data cable. it’s the same cable btw as from some of my pentax cameras btw (k5, q i think)

      Yes, you are absolutely right. I am used to take out my cards after shooting to copy the files... I have to check what kind of usb data cable works with it.. Thanks!

    The f30 & f31fd take Excellent pictures but are a little slow to focus & refresh and only take max 2gb XD cards. The f50fd is smaller, faster, has ois, takes SD card & XD & has 12 mp. I have had all of these finepix fuji's going back to 2005 with the F10... the first iso 1600 digicam. I miss the days of these cameras.

      I agree with you, but from what I remember, I think the F30fd have ois or anti blur mode, and yes there will always be a better and better and newer camera for sure.. I am not looking for the better camera anyway, I am challenging my self to shoot with less specs then the pro bodies with a smaller form factor that I will get away in most of the situations and of course I want to use a small capable camera so I don't have to use my phone for crappy photos.

      You can still find them on ebay or other sites online for still a good price, but if you find it on a thrift store is even better :D!

    bro, digicams generally have nothing similar to the film vintage look, it's just a trend now...if I showed you 2 photos, one with cmos and ccd, you wouldn't know which one is which.

    • @finecams_club
      @finecams_club  5 месяцев назад +6

      Yes they do, check out the difference between CCD and CMOS sensors. CCDs historically have a higher dynamic range and better color reproduction "out of the box"and yes it may be a trend. I am not trying to compare film with Digicams. I am saying as an alternative to film. Film is more expensive to shoot and yes I love film and I also shoot film and have a lot of film cameras, but digicams are the closest format that can "replicate film" without spending a lot of money on film and developing. Sure I am shooting occasionally film, but for a day to day use I love digicams. Cheers!

      @@finecams_club I'm kidding. I also switched from cmos to digicams that have character, cmos is very faceless and flat... greetings

      Well depends what you are looking to achieve. Digicams will not replace film but they will be am alternative for saving money on film 😂. Film is expensive...

      The Super CCD sensor in the FinePix F-series cameras have great colors. If you compare competitors from that era, the CCD cameras will likely be perceived as having better colors.
