I love Chris Mc Nally as Lucas Bouchard , I feel the season was excellent ,no matter what he does in anything he is a smart actor and adapts greatly to the characters that he portrays.. I will watch any thing he is in.
I have always said I LOVE Lucas Bouchards character so much ..and only Chris McNally can deliver like he does. He's an extraordinary actor. And BTW, I loved seeing Kathy again. I've missed her.
I love E and N together! They have a beautful romance. I also love Lucas...just not with E.. He had a wondetful storyline this season. They really shoved E and L down Nathan's throat but they did not do that with Lucas. They were very rrspectful of TL fan's. I can't wait to see where Lucas goes next season. I did not like him before bc he never really had a storyline.
As an admin to a team Lucas fan page of over 10,000 they would not agree with you. They feel very much disrespected. And again when people have opinions as I said in my podcast, I like it to be backed up with examples.
Lucas’ storyline in S6 thru S8 was making a place for himself in Hope Valley, getting to know Elizabeth and ultimately developing a relationship with her. They had a love is patient, love is kind type of love. That is, until the writers blew it all up.
Hi Roxanne I love your podcasts on WCTH and sure was great seeing Kathy Watkins back she sure is a hoot and after the last 2 seasons we all needed a good laugh. For some reason I can't comment when you are on live hopefully by next season I will figure it out.
I love Chris' acting and was watching mainly for him. I am glad that Fiona came back in the series and guessed that they will want to make her disappear again since she does have that other series she is acting for. They better show more of Chris going forward. I think Mike and Mei's wedding and Faith with Lily aside from the other characters made it better. I didn't care about Elizabeth and Nathan. Even those scenes with Allie and Little Jack I didn't really want to watch them only because they were with those two. If it had been Little Jack, Allie, and E I would have been ok. I don't see anything romantic about those the mountie and teacher together. It looks forced when they kiss and they look too modern together for this series. Mike and Mei's romance is beautiful and natural despite Mei acting like a teenager.

I rate the entire season a 15. I think the writing,acting was wonderful. I like Mike and Mei, Bill and Rosemary, Allie about her biological dad Dylan, Faith and Lilly, Tom coming back, Lucas had incredible storyline., Elizabeth taking down Higgins, little Jack bonding with Nathan. The love story between Nathan and Elizabeth. I can’t wait until season 12. ♥
I loved the whole season. Mike and Mei have cute moments, but i think their relationship was rushed to marriage because we were supposed to have L & E's wedding in this season, and it didn't happen. It was sad that Allie's biological father rejected her at the prison. As far as Mountie Hargraves visiting Elizabeth in private about Jack, i have several theories about what he's gonna tell her: 1) They just now found his body (far-fetched, but it could happen). 2) His pension ran out, 3) He's being awarded a medal for his services (also far fetched but maybe not), 4) Nathan has more to do with Jack's death than he told her (Why else would Hargraves wanna talk to her in private?) Also, is it just me, or does Hargraves seem like a jerk?

If you are referencing my comment about asking Lindsay to be a guest, then you are missing the fact that I asked her as soon as I was informed that she was the new showrunner. This was right before they even started to film season 10. And I asked her many times. I don’t know if you watch my podcast, but I am very respectful and very protective of any guest that comes on to chat with me. They also receive questions ahead of time for approval. She has a responsibility to listen to what all the fans have to say not just one side. Also, here’s one for you. Why would a guest go on a podcast when the podcasts publicly ripped the actor apart, made fun of the actor for years, and the character he played? Yet the publicist supported the request. And, he was their guest. So before you ask such a question, how about you have all the facts.
One thing I find weird in this fandom is the need to like everything about the show. One can watch the show and not like E/N but still enjoy it. Their fans are loving their story as is and they are not requesting it be changed. This is the version of the love story they are telling .. they don’t need to change it to fit what everyone wants. They will never please everyone. It was a horrible season finale that fails at what it’s supposed to do .. to keep people interested for a year. They ruined the cliffhanger by confirming J is not coming back. I knew he wasn’t but the point of a cliffhanger is you create suspense and get people talking during the hiatus. But they stripped that away because they’re so scared of the backlash and losing viewers. My biggest disappointment has been the veteran writers ES & DT. This season probed that they need good show runners to edit/tweak their scripts to come up with something good. Some of the dialogue in E11/12 left alot to be desired. Too many to discuss in a comment .. but at times it only worked because the actors elevated (i.e. CM during hostage situation) and in other cases it just fell super flat because the actors couldn’t save it either (i.e. EK/KM in both love declarations). I am going to give S12 a chance because i think S11 suffered a lot from the writers strike and the absence of a showrunner for big parts of the season.
@@Lizzie-mw2db hi. The strike did not affect WCTH writers and there wasn’t an absence of a showrunner. Also, Most of S12 was written before the strike. The seasoned writers have to write what is approved by the showrunner. The show runner even has the opportunity to rewrite what they wrote. It’s happened in the past.

If the strike had no impact then some of the dialogue, the recycled scenes, the build up with no proper pay off .. are examples of some very poor decision making and execution by the SR/ the writers. Plus in a lot of interviews i’ve heard about how much involvement EK had .. and well the scenes she had a hand in ended up being very disappointing .. so maybe everyone should stay in their lane and let the pros do what they do best. She can act so do more of that and maybe if she has aspirations to write hone that skill, and the writers should focus on writing and writing what they think is best for the story/character. Sure get feedback from the actor but don’t let be the final determinant of what ends up on the show.
I only started watching the show for the first time about a year ago and for the first time in eleven season, I have zero interest in season 12. How Lindsey is running this is odd. There are some good moments sure, but there are more confusing and frustrating moments. Like the potato story with Elizabeth…. Seriously? Of all the embarrassing story you could write for Elizabeth, that’s the one you go for? And the scene with Elizabeth and Lucas. I don’t get what they’re trying to do. I don’t get the purpose of that scene. With the way they handled the cliffhanger, I felt like it was more of them baiting us to watch season 12 rather than getting us interested. I hope they improve in season 12. I would hate for this show to be canceled just because of questionable decisions from the current show runner.
@@catherinemeadows6682 It is definitely a different chemistry than what was between Elizabeth and Lucas. but I think it’s still chemistry. It reminds me of the relationship I have with my husband. Before he met me, he was in a relationship that was much more intense. When he met me, the chemistry was there and still is after almost 40 years, but it wasn’t the same kind of intense chemistry he had with this other woman. That relationship ended because they had different visions of the lives that they wanted to live. And for both of them, it ended up being the right decision to end things and marry other people. I kind of see the same thing with Lucas and Nathan. I don’t think I could see Elizabeth being happy in Lucas’ world. He needs someone who loves politics and the excitement of that life. I hope the writers will develop that story line for him. Elizabeth wants a quieter, more settled life, with someone who values those things, too.
