    She spoke beautifully! I really needed to hear this. I deeply have the desire for a vocation in marriage again, but this time with a Catholic man and I pray the same for my 25yr daughter. Jesus I trust in you. 🙏

    This talk was amazing. The young man's story toward the end hit home for me. 18 months ago I broke up with my protestant girlfriend of two years. I was so in love with her I wanted to propose and build a family with her. The one thing that held me back was she was not Catholic. In the beginning of our relationship, this difference of faith did not bother me, but as the months progressed, it slowly started to weigh on me. During our relationship I became increasingly rooted in my faith, loving it and appreciating it even more than I ever have. I remember I went to the chapel one morning and I just begged God for the courage to do what I knew needed to be done, and I did it that same day. The most painful decision I had made in my life. Looking back now 18 months later, even though I'm still single, I couldn't be happier for all the pain and suffering I went through!
    If anyone young men reading this are discouraged, do not be! The Lord says "For I know the plans I have for you - plans to propser you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" -Jeremiah 29:11
    God bless!

      That's what alot of people do at the start , but after a while they end up marrying someone not even a "freethinker", but of a completely different religion, because they don't want to wait anymore. Any thoughts?

      Not to be negative, but if you study the history of the early church, then the Protestant Reformation, Islam, Zoroasterism, Hinduism, you will find some positive aspects in each, also negativea. The authors and origins of religions may have been inspired but I suggest that practioners rarely are. Searching for God is a lifetime experience and each person is at a different place on the road.

      @@georgeyoung92 yes i agree every person is at a different level in their spiritual life. But it’s important, for any person that wants to marry, to find a partner that has the same aspirations and goals as you.

    This is huge problem in the USA. This nonsense is very minimal in Mexico and other countries with traditional women. Food for thought ladies...

    I'm sure this is helpful for many people. But as for me, I'm in love with someone who's taken and probably will get married in 1 or 2 years. And I'm ready to just stay single for my whole life because there is no way I'll ever love anyone else. And maybe this is a sign that I'm not called for marriage.

    • @joane24
      @joane24 Год назад +5

      No, such a thing is definitely not a sign of not being called to marriage.
      Marriage is a natural vocation, to which most people are called for, unless specifically called to a religious/consecrated life. And if that would be the case, God's call isn't by giving obscure indirect 'signs' that "the relationship didn't work out so maybe it's not for me," God's call would be the invitation to something, to something else, something more.
      So it wouldn't be in terms of negatives ("it didn't work out so I'll look at that other thing"), but in the positive ("I want that other /eg religious vocation/ thing more").
      Hope that helps.

      @@doublel6443 I don't really like it when people say "stop looking"; a lot of people in society today that have repented and are trying to fight off the mortal sins of lust, f0rnication, adultery, pr0n0graphy, etc. and once you do that sin, like a drug, it ruins your mind to where it's hard even years later to look at people without the intrusive thoughts flooding in. Life would be easier for those people if everyone dressed like during Jesus' times so they wouldn't have to look at the ground 24/7, but I do agree, the comment was kinda written uncharitably. xD But I dont' think he's wrong, tight pants shouldn't be a thing unless covered by a dresss or skirt.

      @@catholicfemininity2126 Hi Cf, thanks for the response. Its difficult but it can be done, to curve one’s desires. I have. I no longer look and undress as I did once. Through prayer and consecration to the Sacred Heart is how I’ve done it.
      My relationships have never worked, we’ve always slept with each other within days. It doesn’t work, at least it didn’t for me. I started looking with the intention of seeing beauty not with the intention of lust. Its hard but it can be done. I want that, to get to know her first.
