First time i heard this piece i had literally just walked out of the hospital, after losing my mother. I had walked out to my car, having had the abc radio on before...and it was about 2 mins in. I was in shock...and it just was the most perfect thing to have listened to at that very moment. So thank you.

One of the saddest and most beautiful music pieces ever composed.
Certainly one of the most beautiful pieces ever. I have never found it to be deeply sad, just pensive and reflective (excuse the pun), serenely melancholic, not a bad way to be. I have actually experienced it as healing and uplifting, rather transcendent.
