gothops154 GT Sport is fairly unrealistic when it comes to braking actually...they make the brakes work less than they would in real life...which is a bit weird. Officially on games such as iRacing, rFactor 2, or the AC sims you would actually brake a good 50m to 80m after you would in GT Sport. Which these games mentioned are considered by most people who race cars to be the most realistic sims on the market rn.
@@tankiller9638 The braking points in GT Sport are pretty much the same as in the hardcore sims that you mentioned. He doesn't brake like 50m after where you would brake in GT. The top GT Sport drivers also brake extremly late. It's all about skill...
There is a delay, it is not physically possible with pirelli tyres and this car I drive on ACC which is the reproduction of Blancpain GT3 with actually the same car, you cannot brake that late and still making the corner
I think it may have to do with the grip levels falling off harder when you start sliding. Like the tires stick on the road witb a constant amount of grip until it slips once and the whole thing loses ttaction as opposed to video games where they probably slip earlier, but have more traction while sliding. I have no idea why, im just speculating.

How can that be? AC works by look up tables mostly. If you care you can find explanations by the developer that AC actually doesn't simulate that much. I use the log data from iRacing and prospect it with MoTeC software, comparing the histogram of steering wheel angle to lateral force, from iRacing to real world data, I have to say iRacing tire physics looks pretty cheap and fake to me. Another point is, it's easy to guess that iRacing tire temperatures are just faked and not simulated based on driving in real time. To my observation, "sim racers" know very little about proper vehicle dynamic simulation and even less can calculate suspensions. I can and I used an industry level Vehicle Dynamics software. And from that experience and numerous frustrations I can tell you, pCARS is pretty damn good simulation even on industrial level. The suspension in pCARS is properly simulated based on hard points what is accurate for race cars. Road cars have rubber bushings, they are probably not well simulated but that is something that is extremely troublesome to simulated even for car makers and you can be sure that iRacing or AC doesn't even dream about bothering with that. And pCARS tire model with its heat system is ahead of any industrial level Pacejka model. Just to test your own simulation knowledge, if you never heard the word "Pacejka" before and never worked with a Pacejka model, you can be sure that you do not know much about tire simulation. There are a few things or rather certain driving situation where it's noticeable that pCARS simulation is missing some delay that in real life is always there due to compliance. Compliance is extremely difficult or extremely CPU costly to simulate in real time! That is the drawback of pCARS simulating so much and not faking results. However even F1 simulators don't simulate chassis compliance properly in real time. AC doesn't have this problem so much as they by far don't simulate that much and rather fake the result with look up tables that they tweak till the car drives as they think it should. I don't have any hard feelings about that, it's a legitimate approach esp. seeing that desktop pcs don't have infinite cpu power. However it also has drawbacks. In pCARS the devs can put any tire on any car and the simulation will do something with it, sometimes even something very interesting! AC can't do it because any tire change needs tweaking of the look up tables so that the car does what it should do, what can be pretty work intensive. So in short words, pCARS has a model that simulates the outcome. Put something in on the front and possibly something educative will come out. AC is all about creating a car behaviour that the devs desire and think it is realistic. They will do and tweak whatever they need until the huge spreadsheets puts out the numbers that make the car drive as they want. Because of that I'm very surprised any time someone says pCARS is a fake sim because based on the true meaning of simulation AC produces fake results that are tweaked to be as realistic as possible while pCARS actually simulates a lot. Every time I hear something like that, I'd ask to ask this "widely known sim community" where they get their knowledge of vehicle dynamics simulation from and why they say pCARS it's a fake simulation.

Fuck that's faster than I would normally drive...
nice video. amazing brakes
He only got up to 5th gear along mountain straight before braking for Griffin's. Surprised by that because it's a long straight and has a downhill section.
These cars are very much underpowered. The restrictions on engine power Vs downforce really shows up on this track.
This track is nuts
Sehr gut!
this is sick, WOOOW
Braking so good.
For a moment, I thought this was a computer game... very high quality computer game...
man that looks fast!
Wirst du die 12 Stunden Anfang Februar fahren?
DieMakrone nein leider nicht
Rene Rast Schade :(
Werden wir dich dieses Jahr überhaupt in einem GT Boliden sehen?
What's the fastest v8 supercar lap for this track?
Don't blink!
That's very close to the WR.
Yea just wanted to say 2:01.8 is damn quick for a GT3 car. Esp. for an Audi without a Turbo.
Sweet
awesome, Rene!
what's the scariest section in your opinion?
This is insane
No racing simulator can compare to real life physics.
İs it mile or km?
Rene, which game is this? :)
Big balls game ;)
Rene Rast holy shit😹 Ehre genommen
Give it another 5 years and games will look like this😉
@@FullFledged2010 to be fair, the camera quality is average. Games already look like this
@@RastRene lol big ego accurate for a big driver
Their breaks compared to the v8 supercars. Because the v8 do 290-300 down conrod but are 10 sec slower insane.
Is this real or GT Sport??
