- Today, I go through the DBD killers and rate their lobby idle animations into a tier list!

You forgot that trickster winks at you in the game lobby ! Which I think should count as part of the lobby animations, anyways great video !

Myers is probably intentional since throughout the movie he just stands and stares at Laurie and occasionally walks slowly toward her. Also, Chatterer does have a slightly different animation from Pinhead. If you pay attention, his mouth chatters like in the movie.
Makes sense! I was thinking the same about Myers, wasn't sure how to rate him. Ah that's cool about Chatterer, that's awesome then that they made him slightly different at least!!
Myers is genuinely unsettling to watch imo. It's just wrong that he stays so still.
They could have made him slowly and wordlessly walk at you/the camera and raise his knife at you with breathing sounds...
I can't believe you put Myers in F tier! His lobby animation is clearly S tier, this emotionless stalk standing is really lore accurate, couldn't be better
I was so torn on him tbh 😂 Like on anyone else it would be boring! But pretty fitting for him!
Now that Alien is in, that thing gets an automatic #1 spot. The smoothness of it coming down from the top and standing up, the slither of its tail, and it crouching to sit and go docile is just all perfect. Definitely has the smoothest animation of all the killers and looks ripped right out of the movies. BHVR's animators are definite fans of the franchise and you can tell they put the most effort into this
I know it's fitting for Myers to do nothing, but he could've at least done the infamous head tilt from the movies

28:29 What happened with Sadako was you had turned her so she was facing the side. When she does the jump scare she's actually doing it in the direction she's facing, so when she's turned the side you can briefly see it pop out and go off screen in that direction.
Hmmm the weird thing about Sadako is that I didn't press or move anything at all in that moment, but she turned HERSELF to the side right before that animation..I'm not sure if it was intentional for the store screen or if it just glitched out and turned to the side before doing the animation that time?? I love her jump scare though omg 😂
@@DBDGamerGirl Sadakos jumpscare always turns her to face the camera, She only popped into different directions when you faced her away when she was on the PTR, Pretty sure they changed it so the jumpscare always works lol

@@DBDGamerGirlI actually had the same issue recently, My guess is because I don't have her unlocked, so maybe it's a surprise they don't want spoiled unless you own her. I already knew of the jumpscare which is why I was watching the animation in game, Then she turned to the side automatically when the jumpscare was meant to trigger.

The Dredge also has a starting, entering lobby animation where he grows the flesh out of the smoke.

i like how when doctor moves his head this one time, instead of going diagonal down like most people, like \, his head goes down and then snaps to the right, like |_. it just makes him seem so twitchy and sporadic and almost mechanical, and he moves his head real fast in it too
You can kind of tell that the early killers had simpler animations and the more recent ones they played around a bit more with them, especially the last few (Wesker, Dredge, Sadako, Artist, Pinhead).
Yeah for real!! I was thinking the same, a lot of the newer killers have really cool animations 😊 Whereas a lot of the older ones don't do anything at all or are super basic! I wonder if they will ever update the older killers to have better lobby animations.
Sadako is just way better than anyone else, her animations are just creepy and very fitting to the movie.
So true, I really do think she's S+ , she's just so much better than literally anyone else, so many cool animations and so fitting for her!
for oni's first animation where he's kinda waving his sword around, I feel like I've actually seen katana users move like that. like especially the kinda arching it over his head, making the sword face to the side and slowly moving it from left to right. idk where I've seen that before but I swear katana users actually do that and I think it's a cool detail
Personally I believe it's actually a move that you swiftly swing the katana aside to flick the blood off the blade, kinda funny my father loves to teach me about Japanese swordsmanship so I do know quite a few things of it lol
Demo, Oni, Sadako and Dredge I all love and definitely not cause they're my favorite to play.
Demo I really like his constant mouth movement where it's like he is just super ready for his next prey. Dredge has a ton of little details. Sadako is full of flair and any time Oni gets mad I'm so much happier.
I loved all of those. I think Sadako's is my personal favorite! So perfect for her character and the movie, and I especially love the jumpscare LOL.

I almost feel like Myers' is actually better precisely because he doesn't do anything... it makes him that much more unnerving 😅

I love that they gave Legion 4 different that each really bring out their personality
Fun fact with Onryo, if you turn her around in the lobby to avoid the jump scare, she will still jump scare you. She'll flip around instantly, do her jump scare, and then flip back to where you positioned her.
I would have put Dredge in S personally 😁 There's so much to it.
Artists crows always scare me for some reason, the sound is so intense

I know right, when you spend that much time in queue anyways, might as well go for the side with cooler lobby animations 🤣🤣 Myers stare was pretty unnerving and pretty perfect for a focused stalker I guess 😂 I thought Bubba had one too!!! I thought he at least inspects his hammer or something but I waited for a while and didn't see anything at all 💀 Onryo's jumpscare is so creepy, even when you're expecting it, it still catches me by surprise, let alone if you think you turned her around then omg 😂 Dredge's was pretty cool, he had a ton of variety. And omg maybe someday I should get the Plague 🤣 I need more convincing 😉
If you're going to do killer breathing then go ingame and use insidious ☺️

Yeah a lot of these were really cool! I did try to wait for a few minutes for each of the killers where I wasn't seeing anything, so I don't think I missed anything I hope!
i love how when the dredge does the lurching foreward animation it's non attacking arm is absorbed into the fog and then pops out lower in the fog
also, fun fact, there used to be a horse names maurice in one of the maps (I thiiiink the circus part of crotus penn?). when dredge cane out suddenly the horse was gone. dredge fucking stole and killed maurice

They deserve S, they should get S. It's not like you're putting anything in the wrong place. The early licensed characters do seem pretty boring, though Myers def seems intentional even though they could have done a walk animation anyways. They really did get better along the way. Fun video

Anytime I see pinhead all I can think of is “Mom I few up” cause his pose and facial expression😂 also yes I can agree on huntress being in S.. not cause I’m a biased huntress simp😂

There isn't much you can do with, michael Myers, that's his character zombie like trance.
zombies have more motions and facial expresions than mayers xd

Yeah I wasn't too sure about Freddy, he tbh probably should've gone lower compared to the others LOL.
